This is a very cute, colorful, and clean 2 bdrm. casita and is priced to rent! The home has an all tile floor and all of the comforts of home that you would want. It's perfect for a small family or a small group of friends. It is not your typical dark 70's style Tahoe cabin, but the complete opposite with full sun exposure all winter long on an entire acre for tons of room for family fun!
Glenshire is known as the "banana belt" of Truckee and acquires much less snow than other areas in Truckee= a lot less shoveling that won't take away from your slope time! The house has a great woodstove that heats up the whole place toasty, wood is included as well as major snow removal. Northstar is a 15-20 min. drive and all other ski resorts are about 25 mins. Don't get stuck in the snow banks in Tahoe Donner="Total Downer" to the locals :) Don't miss out on this unique vacation rental in Truckee!
In the summer....It doubles as an awesome retreat, or as a great horse property with two large corrals and barn. There are Many trails from the house... along with a beautiful pond that has a sand trail around it for walking/jogging or riding right across the street. The clubhouse is also located directly across the street with a swimming pool/tennis courts/volleyball court/bbq/playground, etc... Tons of summer fun in "The Shire"

I'm a hairstylist in downtown Truckee and am going south of the border this winter to practice my surfing & Spanish skills! I love my little casita and take great care of it, I hope whoever gets to enjoy it, will treat it with the same care :)
Why the Owner Chose Truckee
Truckee is a great town and this area has the best skiing! My place has gorgeous views of a pond and mountains and the acre is flat, sunny and usable which is hard to find in this area.
The Unique Benefits of this House
All of the amazing aspects of being in the mtns and nature... My place, as with many of my neighbors, have one-acre horse properties and it makes it a lot more spacious and special. The trails and wilderness are vast surrounding our cool local-style community. There is a great clubhouse across the street with lots of amenities-swimming pool, tennis courts, etc. (seasonal) Come visit "The Shire" and you'll see why we love it!
