First, you have to know as we quickly learned island "lingo" and finding your way around............if you've never been to the keys before.... "Bayside" means Florida Bay - to the Northwest of Key Largo while "Oceanside" means to the Southeast off the same. Further, the key range is all run off mile markers. This great condo complex is at 92.5. It is likely that someone will give you directions anytime related to mile markers throughout the key highway system. Even locals describe places and locations by the same. (Key West is mile # 1, The bridge crossing over to the mainland is in the low 100's) Ok, now, for the rest of it: This place is virtually everything it was written to be... it's location in Key Largo also lends quiet and out of the way ambience (being bayside, etc.) while opportunities to still enjoy many water activities are also driven to close by..... Locally, grocery, gas and excellent restaurants begin only 1/2 mile away. Our girls even got a great pizza by walking to Chad's (not even a 1/10th of a mile outside the complex front door.). Dairy Queen across the street !! The "backyard" beach with comfy lounge and hammock is always available and quiet. It was fun to also use the kayaks in the yard as they are ready and able cruisers to use and ideal for an even more amazing sunset view. We loved calling the views you see pictured here our "backyard"...... really, it was a beautiful peaceful place to daily enjoy.......my wife quietly read part of a book while she was there.... Pennekamp park is close by as are Islemorada where we did our own 22 mile wave runner excursion. Key Diver's took us on a great two tank dive full day. Snorkeling off the beach right at the condo is great for beginners. even fun to see barracuda, needlefish and crab right off the pier. As one fisherman would daily return, even the pelicans were a constant treat to watch..... !! Accomodations here are very comfortable. The owners have gone out of their way to update virtually all amenities in kitchen, bath and electronics in so many ways. Our hats are off to you as we can clearly see just how much time and thought you have put in to all of it......... Thank you to the owners here. We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 day stay. We want to return........Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
