My husband is from Washington State and I grew up in Massachusetts - lots of pine trees, seasonal changes, humidity and gloomy, rainy days. We moved to northern California about 20 years ago and love this location but there are still lots of rainy days and it gets very cold at night even in the summer! We love being able to enjoy our backyard in Scottsdale year round. It's so quiet there you feel like you can touch the stars at night. The cactus is the biggest surprise - every season different ones bloom and their blossoms are amazing. Our yard is always filled with color and it's so easy to maintain. We always feel like we're on vacation when we're there - even when we're working!
Why the Owner Chose Terravita
My husband and I bought this home for a job opportunity. That assignment changed early this year so we'd like to share our beautiful home with others until we can once again spend some time in the desert we have come to love. Our home is only 25 minutes from the airport but gives us access to the spectacular Grand Canyon, Flagstaff ski slopes, the artists' galleries and fun jeep rides through the red rock canyons in Sedona. When we want fine dining and high fashion we travel 10 minutes south to Scottsdale, when we want to lay back, watch a rodeo, seek out unique antiques and have a great steak we head 4 miles north to Carefree and Cave Creek. The weather is nearly perfect. We live outdoors most of the year.
