Why the Owner Chose Grand Marais

When we found this wonderful house for sale in the fall of 2011, we knew it was a way to make our dream come true and share it with others.
Grand Marais has managed to change with the world in good ways, but it remains a uniquely welcoming community where family, outdoor activities and the arts combine with love and care for the beautiful natural environment.

The Unique Benefits at this House

We love hiking the many trails, canoeing in the boundary waters, just "being" by Lake Superior, coffee and conversation at the Java Moose, and the excellent meals served at the restaurants in Grand Marais

Owner's Map of Grand Marais

I was five years old when I first visited Grand Marais and still remember that trip! Years later, the North Shore was a natural place for our honeymoon and on that trip, we began to dream of buying property in Grand Marais. That dream stayed alive all of the years our children were growing up as we vacationed there every summer. The beauty of the lake and the north woods never grew old.

June's Cottage a great escape

Guest: Brin (Nebraska City, NE 68410)
Date of Stay: 08/15/10 Review Submitted: 09/20/10

Our family had a wonderful time at June's Cottage. Only a couple of blocks from lake Superior. Wonderful view with calming breezes comming off the lake. The listing was very accurate. The photo's were just as we found it. Everything was very clean and well cared for. The owner was very easy to work with and very helpful. I would highly recommend this property to others. If you absolutely need to stay connected with the internet you can always take the short walk down to Java Moose and get a cup of coffee and relax while using their free WiFi.
