Shelter Harbor has two community docks, nearby golfing, and the year-round full-service Shelter Harbor Inn at its entrance. Area attractions include Mystic Seaport and Aquarium, quaint Stonington Borough, the Watch Hill Carousel, Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods Casinos, Newport mansions, and ferries and planes to Block Island. A shuttle to the beach is available on summer weekends.
Available for a "winter rental" from November through June 15, 2010, The Barn has three double bedrooms with queen beds, and three newly-remodeled full baths, one on the ground floor. Rent includes basic cable with internet and DVD, garbage pick-up and lawn maintenance. The eat-in kitchen is fully equipped, and the extra-large, sunken living room includes a wood stove and charming stone fireplace for chilly nights, as well as an additional dining area. A laundry room off the kitchen has a new Maytag washer and dryer, and the one-car garage is attached.
Two patios, one with a retractable awning and another at waterside with huge stone fireplace and gas grill, are ideal for entertaining. Tenants are welcome to use the dock and one mooring. There is space for kayaks and canoe.
