Enjoy your morning coffee on our 300 square foot front deck, looking out over Lake Consuela. Whether you are looking for a get away to reconnect with nature, or planning an outing with family, you will enjoy all that our cottage has to offer. This approximately 1000 square foot 1940’s cottage has knotty pine tongue-in-groove paneling through most of the house, and has been family owned for more that 40 years. Each bedroom has a queen bed. The bathroom has shower only. The spacious kitchen is filled with country charm. The living room has a real wood burning fireplace to enjoy on those cooler evenings. Daytimes you'll enjoy a bike ride on the oak lined lanes of Floral City; hike/bike the Withlacoochee trail, which is less than ½ mile from the cottage, or browse some of the many antiques stores throughout Citrus County. Take a row boat or canoe ride around the lake. In the evening enjoy a grilled dinner underneath the double picnic table, lighted pavillion.
Surrounded by towering cypress trees and moss-covered oaks, this beautiful little town is reminiscent of the days of 'Old Florida'. An abundance of springs, lakes, rivers and parks has rightly billed this destination as 'Mother Nature's Theme Park'. A region blessed with so much natural splendor, turns this paradise into a haven of recreational activities.
Located a stone's throw down the country road from this property is our sister cottage, Cove Cottage, a cozy newly renovated one bedroom/one bath (VRBO listing #221342).
And around the bend just a little further, within walking distance, is our two bedroom/two bath lake house "Lotus Point" located on four acres of rustic Florida land (VRBO listing #194799).
All three properties are ideal for multi-family vacations, church groups, retreats, reunions, etc.
Busch Gardens is 75 minutes to the southeast. Disney World is 80 minutes to the east. This property is located 75 minutes north of Tampa Airport.
Our property is pet friendly - well-behaved dogs, 35 pounds or less, please. Small pet deposit required.
