Our townhome is just a few blocks from downtown Edwards. Edwards itself is a hip town just 10 minutes from Vail Village, 5 minutes from Beaver Creek and Arrowhead Mt. Just to the west, Edwards sits in a beautiful location on the Eagle River. The valley opens up to provide more hours of sunlight, great sunsets, and a few more degrees of warmth! Our home is walking distance from downtown, and from the BUS service.
Edwards boasts wonderful restaurants, coffee shops, friendly bars with nightly music, a movie theater, market, beauty salons, spa services, yoga studios, shopping boutiques, town parks, an incredible skate park, and a summer farmer's market. You can mingle among both tourists and locals who have made this corner of the valley their home.
Vail Mountain, the largest ski resort in North America is only a 10 minute drive down I-70. With its back bowls, on a powder day it is hard to beat. Beaver Creek, only a 5 minute drive down highway 6 is a locals favorite with more diversified skiing including the Birds of Prey run which plays host to the World Downhill championships every year. Right next door to Beaver Creek is Arrowhead. This small, intimate ski resort is attached to Beaver Creek by a moderate ski run and is very family oriented with a good range of terrain for all levels and has great runs for training kids or adults new to skiing. You wont find lift lines here, only the Broken Arrow resturant at the base of the main lift. Beaver Creek and Arrowhead also have free day parking with shuttles right to the lifts. There are cross-country skiing areas at both Beaver Creek and Arrowhead and at the top of the Cordillera mountain community, all with breathtaking views.
Across the street from our home, is the newly opened Eagle River Preserve. This 72 acre area of open space is a wonderful refuge to walk, jog, snowshoe, cross-country ski, and watch the Eagle river change with the seasons. You can then walk to the village for a coffee or a beer. We are adjacent to a soccer field and kid's park. Our townhome is an end-unit, with two parking spaces directly outside the front door, and an additional attached one car garage. There is easy access right into the front door at ground level.
We have remodeled in the past few years, and have added beautiful maple floors and alder doors throughout. This is our first winter renting out our home, and we have BRAND NEW EVERYTHING from high end furniture to bedding and silverware! It is very nice so please enjoy as we do! Downstairs has a dining table for 6, 46" flat screen, blue-ray DVD player, CD/ radio / IPod player, a gas fireplace, WI-FI, and access to the outdoor patio and courtyard. The three bedrooms are upstairs; the master with a king bed, 37" flat screen and DVD. Both other bedrooms have queen beds, one with a 20" flat screen and DVD. Our beds all have the best mattresses and allergy-free down duvets and pillows for incredibly restful nights. We have made our home as cozy and comfortable as possible, a perfect refuge from powder days up on the mountain at Vail, Beaver Creek, or Arrowhead; or just perfect to hibernate in for movies, cooking, and relax time.
