With optimum views of Baldy, this comfortably luxe style home invites gracious, but unpretentious living. The main floor expands a master chef’s kitchen, with two dishwashers, a six-burner Viking stove, two garbage disposals, and even surround sound, so you can dance while you cook. Every need for culinary excellence is hidden behind the cabinets and large center island, which also incorporates a bar area with icemaker. At one of end of the kitchen is a cozy breakfast table for four, so you don’t need to take many steps to refresh your coffee.
A brave use of color highlights the tone of the red dining area, with a large antique round dining table, and plenty of seating for 8 or more. Open to the living room area, with the warmth of designer materials and furnishings, and complimented with a gas/wood burning fireplace, this sophisticated, yet comfortable space will be perfect for entertaining, or just lounging after the day of outdoor living.
This same level enjoys the master bedroom living, with a California King bed, large TV with DVD, his and her closets, and bathrooms with an adjoining, two-person walk-in shower. A small office is further down the hallway where one can escape to do a bit of business, if need be.
Just off the front door entry, there is a small library, suited with a comfortable sofa and chairs, as well as an abundance of reading material. Off the hallway is a powder room; and down another hallway, towards the garages, you’ll find a more than adequate laundry room with sink.
Up the spiral stairway, the guests, the children or whoever, will enjoy one of four bedrooms, all of which are dressed in lovely linens, and have enormous walk-in closets. One room has a queen sized bed, with adjoining bathroom, and it’s own TV/DVD; another bedroom has a set of twins, with a bathroom, as well; and then there is another room with queen bed, sharing a bathroom of double sinks, with another room of twin beds.
The heated garages house space for two cars, as well as a ping-pong table, if you pull one of the cars out. And, if you happen to be renting during the summer, lush surroundings and pots, exploding color will enhance your alfresco dining on the secluded patio.
This home is a must, whether you need the five bedrooms or not! They have another one in Palm Beach, if you’re interested in a warm palatial escape. In the meantime, the popcorn machine is waiting for you in Sun Valley!
