The Ultimate Get-a-Way Cabin! This New Cabin is Charming and it is Perched Atop of Laurel Ridge Mountain in Blue Ridge Georgia. Fabulous view almost 180 degree wide open view of Snake Nation mountain and Rich Mountain wilderness. These are forestry service mountains with no cabins allowed so it is absolutely breathtaking. As you enter the driveway you notice the craftsman style shingle and metal roof system and board-and-batton exterior mixed with rough shake shingle siding - log accents around the windows and doors. There are antique stained glass windows to add character. Then step inside to the great room with soaring ceiling of tongue and groove pine with large beams. The great room is bathed in sunlight with lots of windows giving fabulous views on three sides of the room.
The cabin decor is warm and inviting with antique quilts, stone corner fireplace, tiffany lamps, and bear theme accessories. The kitchen is fully equipped with chef stove and hooded vent, wine cooler, built-in refrigerator, and breakfast bar. This a place to enjoy cooking and good conversation with family and friends alike. Each of the 3 bedrooms are carefully decorated with cabin bedding, pictures, and accessories. Each bedroom has a private bath. The game room has a pool table and air-hockey plus TV to enjoy watching your favorite team games. The best part of this cabin is the deck and lanai complete with outdoor fireplace. Why the Owner Chose Blue Ridge
We have rented cabins in the mountains of North Georgia and North Carolina for many years. 6 years ago we decided to buy a second home and headed for the mountains. We originally planned on just using it for ourselves and our family. But once we looked into it we found that the Blue Ridge area just 1 hour from our primary home was very accessible on 4 lane roads not those 2 lane winding mountain roads to other destinations in the mountains. We found it very easy to travel back and forth, pick up people from the Atlanta airport, and rental customers had no problem getting to the cabin.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin
Cozy rustic mountain style living is the here to enjoy. Our new cabin has lots of upgrades like a kitchen with farm sink, wine cooler, granite counters, chef stove with vented hood, half bath for guests, game room with pool table, covered private hot tub, even an outdoor fireplace on the covered deck. The biggest wow factor is the 180 view that is something to behold. Breathtaking is the word often hear from guests.
Famous BBQ with great fried onion rings and outrageous garlic salad. It is owned by the "Mayor of CherryLog" Jimmy Carter has a cabin right near and often visits. Just ask and lots of stories!
Everything from home made fudge to ice cream, gourmet kitchen shops, and lots of antiques and mountain treasures.
Take a romantic and picturesque trip along the Taccoa River in a real train with vintage train cars, refreshment car, and even open observation car. Special seasonals like Santa Train Rides in Decemb
Hike, mountain bike, float the Taccoa, and do some off road driving. Canoes, kayaks, and even the old innertube will work to enjoy the picturesque area.
Just a short 15 minute drive to the town that is split with the state line going right through town! More good shopping, reataurants. Just a short distance to the white water rafting from here.

Great hike from the bottom of this beautiful falls and lodge for lunch plus many hiking trails in the area. Take Hwy 52 east from Ellijay
Take 60 to more adventures in great fishing in Suches area and the Georgia Gold Rush town of Dahlonega. Lots of shops and fun there and of course famous Smith House Family Dining is a must.

My wife Marsha and I have owned our vacation cabin in Blue Ridge for 6 years now. Found it a fabulous experience for ourselves but also loved sharing it with others on a vacation rental program. This year we decided to sell the cabin and build a new one on a fabulous view lot that we owned. We have 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren so far. It is such an attractive place that we have sold cabins to family and friends on the same mountain - I am in the residential Real Estate business.
