  We are winter visitors from Canada and lived in the villa for three months which felt like home in no time at all. The location, with golf, restaurants (try Nello's for the best pizza), shopping, food stores and ball parks all nearby is perfect. The home itself is beautiful, very welcoming, comfortable and very well equipped. It's better than described and the photos do not do the property justice. All of our friends that stopped by during our stay were amazed at our good fortune in landing the villa. If VRBO had an award for the best property owner, Nancy would be the perennial winner. Having said this we enjoyed it so much we are coming back next year for the same three months. It is on the first hole of Shalimar, a nine hole executive course which worked out very well. I could take a driver, walk to the club house and pay for a round, hit the drive, go to the back gate and sling the golf bag over my shoulder and continue on. Walking winter golf for nine holes is 18.00 on weekdays, 7.00 for twilight. It's close to many other golf courses, ASU and a very short drive to Scottsdale, Mesa and other communities with attractions and shopping. For a mountain hike, the South Mountain trail head is 10-15 minutes away.

  My stay in this home was wonderful, really magical...I wish we could of stayed longer! It has everything you need and the home is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. You enter a magical italian villa once you step inside this home. It has all the amenities beyond expectation. The landlord lives right around the corner so she is always accessible, if needed. I would give this home and experience 10 stars if I could!

  Onnie and I enjoyed very much our three month stay at Nancy's villa. Well furnished, well equiped and excellent decor. Very clean and spacious. The backyard was a real bonus with the hot tub, BBQ and furniture. We are golfers so the location on the first fairway of a great nine hole course with many events was ideal. But the very best thing was meeting Nancy and Rick who go out of their way to make you feel like family and not tenants. All in all, a terrific experience; we hope to retunn.   We stayed at this property over Thanksgiving week to visit with family. Although we prepared most of our food at home, the kitchen here was perfect for roasting a small turkey and cooking our prepared dishes. Rick and Nancy are very pleasant to work with. We enjoyed our whole time at the condo; a resort-like experience. Everything was so clean and delightful. We enjoyed the take-a-bottle, leave-a-bottle wine cooler! The backyard and golf course view was outstanding. We would definitely stay here again.

  Wow! We loved calling this “home” for the three months. We were very comfortable during our stay. Like previous reviewers said, better than the pictures! Nice, fully equipped kitchen and clean bathrooms. We didn’t use the hot tub or grill much, since we were there in the summer, but if you are there any other time, it would be very nice! Nancy was so kind and helpful to us. She came right over whenever we needed anything. She is also an artist, and the whole house is decorated and painted by her. If we are ever in the Phoenix area again, we will be hoping for an opening at Nancy’s villa.

  My husband and I (and our dog) stayed in Nancy's luxurious villa from mid Jan. thru March. It was perfect. Location great, loved being by the golf course and would walk there regularly for meals, golf and practicing golf. We really enjoyed the cozy back yard. The villa is better equipped than my permanent home !! Nancy was always helpful and responsive. I highly recommend it to anyone.Kaye

  Thank you Nancy for making our visit to Tempe just wonderful. We were there to watch our son in the ironman race. Every thing was so comfortable.. I felt it was better than the pictures. Would highly recomend this house to anyone . Thanks again Sharon

  What a fabulous place to stay in the Phoenix/Tempe area. The house was fully equipped with everything you would need and more. It is truly a relaxing, comfortable, clean and well maintained home, in a quiet and safe neighborhood. We so enjoyed hiking in the surrounding area, then relaxing in the evening. The owner is very personable, even remembered it was birthday and hung a birthday balloon in the tree for me. I can't say enough good things about this place and have told everyone that I know about it. THANK YOU for a great trip

  Myself and 2 old friends reunited for a wonderful visit . This home is delightful and comfortable. We enjoyed activities during the day in the surrounding area. Then at nite it was nice relaxing in this wonderful property. The listing and photos are accurate and the owner was very gracious. I would highly recommend this listing.

  My husband and I spent 2 months here (Jan & Feb 2010) I would have to say that you have easy access to shopping, dining and entertainment. The owner Nancy was very accomidating and helpful for first time visitors to the area. She offers a very comfortable home to her guests. It has everything that you need to make your stay enjoyable. We enjoyed the hot tub, the club house at the golf course, grilling out and just sitting in the sun relaxing. We would definitely stay here again.
