Located in the heart of Southwestern Colorado, we offer a deluxe multi-story, custom log cabin located on four private acres from which to enjoy the many beauties of the Four Corners area. Here you will find the best of everything.
Upstairs the main master suite offers a California King Henredon sleigh bed with remote control gas fireplace. The master bath has a Kohler whirlpool tub with separate glass shower, his and her sinks, heated slate floors and a large walk-in closet. Another large private upstairs bedroom offers a king sized bed, walk in shower - no tub, and a wonderful view of Sleeping Ute Mountain. An extra twin bed can be placed in this room as needed. In the adjacent, cozy loft you will find a large TV complete with DVD player and plenty of movies to enjoy. The TV receives 51 channels via antennae.
Downstairs you will find a full gourmet kitchen complete with granite counters, stainless appliances, espresso machine and large pantry with full-sized washer and dryer. The great room has a lovely dining area, living room with floor to ceiling rock wood-burning fireplace, a full wall of south-facing glass windows and a granite-topped bar for your enjoyment. Walk out onto the three-sided wrap around deck and enjoy the views. See no one but those in your party - and perhaps a deer or two. Enjoy the outdoor BBQ grill and Hot Tub. It is crystal clean and at night there are more stars than you can count. There is plenty of outdoor parking for your RV, Camper or SUV with boat. We are a quick 30 minutes from the Cortez Municipal Airport. At our last check, Enterprise Rentals in Cortez offered the best rates.
Next, check out the exercise room complete with Endless Pool, Bowflex, and Exercise Bike. Play something inspiring on the flat screen TV, roll out a yoga mat, or just turn up the stereo and enjoy. This is a happy room with a great place to eat your breakfast and start your day. An extra bed(s) can be brought into this room as needed.
This property is also well-suited for romantic elopements and small to medium-sized outdoor casual, but classy weddings. It is conducive for retreats, reunions, and corporate events. We can tailor make an extraoridinary experience for you if the thought of a log home setting in beautiful, and slightly remote, Southwestern Colorado makes you smile.
Please note - The lower level of the Cabin is a private living quarters and is not available for rent at this time. The Property Steward is available for maintenance and/or customized services. Steward's presence to guests is negligible and your privacy will be fully respected. Standard hot tub and endless pool maintenance will be conducted at mutually agreed upon times set in advance. Guests are not required to service any of the facilities, but are asked to comply with reasonable use guidelines which will be explained during your Welcome Tour.

Be sure and soak in the hot tub on the back deck. It's perfect any season - morning, noon or night. Another must is a swim in the Endless Pool - it is a heated indoor swimming pool where you can get your day's exercise and have a lot of fun. Play something inspiring on the flat screen TV or just turn up the stereo and swim away. You can also workout on the Bowflex and ride the exercise bike. Yoga mats and yoga tapes are ready to go! If the season is right, be sure and build a fire - there's nothing better than a crackling fire in a log cabin's stone fireplace. If Southwest Colorado and a log cabin get-away sounds good to you, we promise to do our best to make your stay comfortable and fun. We can stock the house with food, drink, and/or specialty items - as little or as much as you request. I began the log cabin building process in 2000. It was an exciting day when two huge semi-trucks filled with Canadian Engelman Spruce and Douglas Fir logs showed up on-site. After a year of Airstream living, I was then able to move in and really get to work. Subsequent to then and a lot of landscaping and other refinements later, the home is too beautiful not to share. More and more people are becoming familiar with our area in the heart of Anasazi Country, also known as the Four Corners region. The cabin is in Yellow Jacket, Colorado which was named after Yellow Jacket Canyon, now a part of the 164,000 acre Canyon of the Ancients National Monument. We have good roads and year-round access to all that Cortez, Guy Drew Vineyard, Mesa Verde National Park, Durango with the Narrow Guage Railroad and Durango Mountain Resort, Telluride and Moab, Utah have to offer. There is something special about this cabin and its location among the trees. It gives peace, inspiration, and rejuvenation to all who visit. Thanks for reading.
