This 1920's vintage Plum Island cottage - known as the "Arctic Cottage" is one of the oldest cottages on Plum Island. Originally built as a seasonal cottage, many of it's architectural features were designed to take advantage of it's seaside location. The distinctive wrap around porch that provides shade and shelter after a long day out on the beach...the "pocket" windows that mysteriously disappear into the walls to take advantage of the summertime breeze. Downtown Boston and Logan Airport are easily accessible and are both only a 40-45 drive from Plum Island and Newburyport. There is also daily Bus and Train Service into Boston and Logan.
