The Oceanfront Studio is a short walk to town, has wonderful views of the Caribbean, and is just steps from the turquoise water. It has a queen bed, full bathroom, cable TV, DVD player, CD player, bar fridge, microwave oven, toaster, coffee maker, iron & ironing blanket. The studio has furnished terrace areas as well as an interior seating area and tables with chairs.
The Villa Tranquila Studio can be reserved as one unit accommodating 2 guests, however we also have a full size or a queen size air mattress to sleep two more persons if needed.
You would have access to the rooftop pool and large covered palapa area. There is a sink, refrigerator, and toilet on the rooftop along with loungers, chairs, built-in bench, and tables. The views from the rooftop are magnificent! Watch the sunrise over the Caribbean in the mornings and the sunset over the bay in the evenings. It is spectacular!

Why the Owner Chose Isla Mujeres
My husband and I had been going to Isla Mujeres for 12 years and had bought Casa Tranquila next door (4 years prior to this), so we thought a single unit would be nice to have also for rent. We had it totally renovated and it is on the same property with another studio and a house. There are lots of amenities, some shared with the other renters-like bicycles, the rooftop pool, and the palapa, covered balcony with refrigerator, sink, toilet, loungers, hammocks, tables, and chairs.
The Unique Benefits at this Studio
The views from the studio are spectacular being that it is OCEANFRONT- just maybe 20 feet from the water! It is about 1/2 mile walk to town, the ferry, shops, & restaurants. It is maybe 3/4 mi. from the very north end of the island (beach and water again). One really neat thing is that you can stay in the studio and use the rooftop pool and palapa covered area up there on the roof, same as the other renters that are in the house! The sunrise over the ocean and the sunset over Mujeres Bay are really gorgeous! Sometimes we like to spend the whole day at the house, since there is so much to do there. Or, you can just do almost nothing- just relax, read, nap, or whatever! We love it and can't wait to be there once again!!

Some friends of ours told us about this "well kept secret paradise" about 14 years ago, so we went and tried it. We have been addicted ever since! We love the people of the island and the island itself very much!! Our grown kids and grandkids love it there also very much!! Once every couple of years we go on a vacation somewhere else, but Isla Mujeres remains our favorite place.
