Let me start by saying I have never written a review for anything, but this cottage is review worthy! We loved everything about our stay at the cottage. It is a little bit of everything, cozy, rustic, bright, and warm. We walked in to a goodie basket of fruit, cookies, and local papers we truly felt at home instantly, we even went grocery shopping to cook a meal there because we were so comfortable and relaxed we didn't want to go out. The best part of the cottage was the huge wall of windows you walk into over looking a peaceful yard full of flowers and of course the loft!! (warning stairs are steep think twice if on the younger or older side). The location was absolutely perfect, right between the village of the valley, the coast, and hiking trails literally steps out the backdoor. The icing on the cake was meeting Mort and Julie the owners who you share the property with. They are completely respectful of your privacy but when you cross paths its great to chat with some truly genuine welcoming folks. They have a beautiful and serene home and we are grateful they opened it to us. We would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to enjoy all that Carmel has to offer without the "high brow" feel of "Carmel" this hide away is somewhere to relax, unwind, and enjoy .Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
