Bear Mountain house description
This 'Mountain Chalet' is a 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath, two-story home with open-beam ceilings. Exceptionally clean, bright and airy, Berber carpeting.
At the bottom of the street (no more than 300 yards away) is the trolley stop serving both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit. There is also a back road leading to Snow Summit that helps to avoid the traffic on the main roads when trying to go skiing/snowboarding. When going up the street, about 400 yards, is the national forest where there are plenty of trails for hiking, biking, and sledding (a place we like to call 'Sled Hill'). We are just minutes from Moonridge Zoo, the Golf Course, the lake, Village, shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. Directly across the street is a little field where children can play.
Inside the cabin is a 37''HD flat screen TV with cable, and a DVD player with a video library containing over 200 of the most recent and popular movie choices for your viewing pleasure, updated regularly. There is also a CD and Cassette stereo. There are energy-efficient windows throughout the house, as well as a new Forced Air Heating unit with five floor vents, keeping our home very warm and cozy through the snowy winter nights. The wood-burning fireplace also adds warmth and atmosphere. The living room, along with the flat screen TV, is a large leather sectional with 3 reclining seats, and a coffee table. The kitchen is fully equipped with a new gas stove, large self cleaning oven, refrigerator, microwave, and also many extras (coffee maker, slow cooker, rice cooker, blender, pots, pans, anything you need for cooking, eating, and drinking), the kitchen table seats 6. Downstairs has a newly remodeled bathroom, the first bedroom has 3 twin beds, the second bedroom has 1 full size bed. Upstairs is a nice getaway with a California king bed, an oversized comfy leather chair, a TV with DVD player and VCR, and a newly remodeled bathroom. The upstairs has two large windows that look into the peaceful atmosphere (pine trees, blue skis) that Big Bear brings. It looks like a beautiful winter wonderland during the snow season. Our cabin is open and airy with many windows allowing in lots of natural light keeping everything looking bright.
Sleeping Hollow has a beautiful deck with seating area, security-sensor lighting, propane BBQ, and a rack to hang skis. The yard is entirely gated (both front and back) which is ideal for young children and pets. The front yard has a table and chairs in case you want to eat outside. The back yard is bordered by a large, open, multi-acre clearing and Elm Street is located in a safe, very quiet neighborhood. Parking for two cars.

Awesome Big Bear Cabin!!
Awesome Big Bear Cabin!!
Stayed here with four other friends and there were enough amazed at how inclusive this cabin was. Not only were there beds for each of us, but the TV and DVDs provided were an added bonus. Would definitely rent again.
