SNOWMOBILERS - SKIERS - HUNTERS - Welcome to the Camas Prairie. Our "Cottage" is situated on seven acres located two miles south of Fairfield. This is a Swedish homestead consisting of the original home (being remodeled and not currently for rent), a classic Swedish barn, several outbuildings and the Cottage. At this time we are renting only the Cottage. It's compact, just 600 square feet, completely remodeled in 2008 and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Our kitchen has a dishwasher, range/oven, microwave, refrigerator and plenty of cabinets with all the dishes, cookware and utinsels you will need. If you can't be without television, we have it! A 22" flatscreen with Direct TV plus local channels.
The bedroom can sleep five and has two bunk beds, one of them with a double bed on the bottom. Cozy, but it works!
If it's ski season, we're just 15 minutes away from Bruce Willis' Soldier Mountain Ski Area. Come visit the NEW day lodge at the mountain and ski some of the best powder in the West. Did I mention that less than an hour away is the one and only SUN VALLEY?
During the winter months, Camas County is known for unsurpassed snowmobiling with it's miles of groomed trails and otherwise unspoiled terrain. We have plenty of room at the Cottage to park your truck and trailer.
Come for a weekend, a week or a month. Camas county has a lot to offer. We're located just three miles from town where you will find four restaurants, a pizza parlor, three pubs and a grocery store. What else could you need!
