Welcome to the Playa Bonita on beautiful West Bay beach in Roatan! This first floor location is just 50 steps on powder white sand to the warm aqua waters of the Caribbean. This private residence has a full kitchen, screened in porch, spacious patio and surrounded by spectacular tropical vegetation.
Swim 150 yards to the coral reef to enter the world of spectacular sea life offered on the World’s second largest barrier reef. This home is ideally located within walking distance of several restaurants, beach bars and dive shops and a 20 minute water taxi ride to the West End.
Satellite TV, wireless internet and air conditioning in a safe, secure and relaxing atmosphere that can only be described as the perfect environment for the perfect vacation.
We are proud to offer our guests the security of a new, state of the art, wireless security system with 24 hour remote surveillance. The armed, roving security guards are located just minutes away with the central monitoring station located at the West Bay mall. This security package is professionally provided by Bulldog Security International. Each guest receives a wireless security Key-fob that is used to arm or disarm the system when you go out or retire for the evening. We want our guest to feel safe and secure as they enjoy all of the wonderful things that Roatan has to offer.
Rent as a 2 BR/2 BA, 1 BR/1 BA or a Studio with a King Sized bed. The studio has a full bath and separate entrance. Adjoining double door will allow a lock off from the adjacent 1 bedroom unit. The Studio includes a microwave and bar sized refrigerator but NO stove or cooking facilities.
Please indicate which of these combinations fits your needs. The calendar may indicate a week is not available but that may be due to a rental of the 1 BR/1 BA or Studio but not necessarily both so please inquire if you are interested in the 1 bedroom arrangement.

Why the Owner Chose West Bay Beach
This property is located on what an international magazine called one of the "Top Ten Beaches in the World". With a coral reef surrounding the entire island and relatively close to shore in West Bay it can be explored at your leisure.
It is one of the most beautiful places that we have ever seen. If you have not experienced the island it is a must see location. Safe, secure, democratic country filled with friendly people in an idyllic setting.
Coral reef is just feet from the water line. This is the best place to learn how to snorkle or just free dive among the coral and tropical fish
A great place for evening cocktails ($4!) or dinner. They rent fantastic beach beds or cabana's during the day as well.
Fresh made Sushi bar. Have a chat with owners Lila and Eric while your sushi is being prepared. Great home made desserts as well. Call for reservations 9936-2594
Lots to do! Scuba, Snuba, Snorkle, Rent a Clear Kayak, take a canopy tour, explore the wildlife of the park or enjoy the pool!
This area next to Infinity Bay is used by the cruise ship industry for sunbathers

Our stay at Playa Bonita was absolutely wonderful. The home was clean and comfortable, had everything we needed. Just steps away from the most beautiful beach I've ever seen! Ron and Patricia were great host and hostess:-) The location was very convenient to all of the best restaurants as well. The description and pictures accurately describe the home and beach, it's great. My favorite thing was being able to walk to the end of the beach and swim out to the reef for terrific snorkeling, no need for a boat. I would definitely recommend this place and will book another vacation stay at Playa Bonita next year. We also spent 4 days on the island of Utila and that was fun too. This was our first trip to the Bay Islands, we usually go to Mexico or Belize, but we will definitely go back and plan to stay at Playa Bonita again.
Recommended for:Age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

My family ( husband, daughter 21 and son 24 ) , recently stayed at the Playa Bonita for a family Christmas vacation. My husband and I have visited the island in Feb 2008 and stayed at the Henry Morgan, but decided to try a private listing through VRBO this time and we will probably never go back to all inclusive. We cannot say enough about the friends we made, Patricia, Ron and Dee . We started off our vacation with a slight disruption and it was nice to know we had someone there to help and communicate with. (You three are awesome and a great asset to the Playa Bonita) This quaint cozy property is in the perfect location, beautiful beach, within walking distance to any type of restaurant that you desire although we enjoyed cooking and homecooked meals for a change. You can get fresh seafood any day in Coxen Hole, and we even enjoyed lobster appetizers on the beach prepared by our son. The snorkeling was awesome as expected and the walks to West End were as enjoyable as remembered. My only complaint was the bites I recieved from the sand fleas and I regret not bringing stronger repellent. The rest of the family was not bothered so it depends on how sweet your skin is :) I would highly recommend staying at the Playa Bonita. It is not the Ritz Carlton but the hospitality is much better! We will defintely return in the future.
Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children.

El lugar es hermoso la playa es muy Linda los cuartos es lo mejor y las estrellas del mar son lindas y hermosas. “The place is beautiful, the beach is very beautiful, the house is the best and the stars of the sea are pretty and handsome.” La estudia en “playa bonita” ha sido excelente! Our stay at Emerald Beach……….. First of all, we can’t say enough great things about our hosts Ron & Patricia. They know so much about the area and are a wealth of info. Casa Bonita is the best place to stay in west bay – you can’t beat the location on the beach; the accommodations are great, and Patricia & Ron (and Dee) know everyone and everything. We can’t wait to come back to CB. We are now lifelong fans! Thank you so much again and all our very best.
