Maple Ridge

My friend and I visited the Upper Peninsula for the first time in August, 2011. We were so impressed with Maple Ridge! It was so clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked-- we couldn't ask for anything more. We truly enjoyed the peace and quiet. We fished at Pete's Lake, explored the Munising area and saw many beautiful waterfalls and lighthouses. We would definitely recommend Maple Ridge to anyone visiting the UP. We have stayed at many places around the country and both agree Maple Ridge was the nicest place we have ever stayed. Thanks, Lisa, for making our first trip to the UP a wonderful memory ! My husband and I along with our two dogs enjoyed a weeklong stay over the Christmas/New Year's holiday. We had a wonderful time! The cabin was warm, cozy, well-equipped and exceptionally clean and well-stocked. Thanks to the wireless internet connection, my husband was able to work away from home, allowing for our "stolen" vacation. He hunted the area for ruffed grouse after breakfast, at lunch, and every evening. We also enjoyed a fire (after digging the pit out of a foot of snow :)), went sledding down the perfect hill just outside the back door (thanks for the sled!), and did a lot of snowshoeing. There's a 9-mile all purpose trail mere steps from the cabin. It is perfectly situated. The area was peaceful and beautiful. The folks at the general store were very friendly, as well. We truly enjoyed our stay. It was a perfect way to bring in the New Year and close out the old one! It's only about 10-15 minutes from Munising, as well. We love this area! Thanks so much for sharing your home.

My wife, 4 YO son, 1 YO daughter, sister and I stayed here for a week. What a great place! This was one of the nicest cottages that we have stayed in. There were great amenities for the kids (toys, gate, pack and play), was a great place to relax (with provided fire wood, NO CELL PHONE COVERAGE! Yeah!!) and cook (grills (2), nicely appointed kitchen). Surrounding trails (Bruno's run was favorite) were excellent for running and mountain biking. Pete's lake, a short drive away was a great place to swim with the kids. Highly recommended.

We had a group of (6) guys stay for a long snowmobiling weekend this past weekend, left on Sunday 1/17/10. Place was better than expected. (6) places to sleep, so everyone had their own bed. Great water, and water pressure, and hott water. Real clean, perfect getaway. General store 1/4 mile away. Snowmobile trails were approx 1/2 mile down the main rd., real easy to get to though. Everyone in our group was impressed with the atmoshere. Totally stocked kitchen for cooking. Even a garage, that we were lucky not to need to use for any repair work. Definitley will go back next time we're in the UP riding... Thanks...

My son and I stayed at Mapleridge this past weekend. I must say, this place is CLEAN!!! Everything about it was comfortable and nice. When they say there is ample firewood, they mean it. I am looking forward to coming back with my boyfriend for another stay. Thanks, Lisa, for making sure everything went smooth for us. We'll be back!

Maple Ridge was a lovely and clean environment to stay for our family for a week. We were even allowed to bring our 4-legged children. We cannot say enough positive things about the property or the owners, Lisa and her spouse, they were great! They went the extra mile to leave those lovely "homey" touches that really was nice. Thank you so much and we'll be sure to tell our friends and family of your rentals, The Carr Family

We came to Maple Ridge with our foster son Nikko, 17 and his two brothers Dillon, 15 and Noah 11. It was a quick weekend escape before school starts in 2 weeks. It was a long ride for the weekend escape but well worth it. The cottage was spotless, fully stocked kitchen to cook anything and ample space. The lower level has a family room that the boys used as their space when playing games or watching their movies. The cottage was in a wooded area, so it was quiet and beautiful. We went exploring on Saturday, we visited 3 waterfalls in the Munising area and drove to Marquette. We didn't know that Northern Michigan University was there. Nikko will be attending college next year and he already had the info on this university, so we drove around the campus. We were impressed. We truly enjoyed the area and will definitely come back, but this time with our telescope, the night skies were awesome. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful getaway.
