02/10/2012 We love it here in Playa and at this house! The location is perfect for us. The view is spectacular from the balcony and the roof top deck. We have our grandchildren with us and it is perfect going to the beach with them - they can run home if they need to. Also, the walk into town is so short! We love the staff - Julian is so helpful and the cleaning ladies are great. Forget a hotel!! Go Pescada Blanca! ALSO, Scott is great to deal with! Anonymous, Lake Forest, IL Positive

02/13/12 Positive Our family of 7 adults and 2 young children had a wonderful vacation at Casa de la Pescada Blanca. The house was perfect for a large family, steps from the gorgeous beach and a short walk from the town. The house was well maintained by Julian and the house keepers. Julian arranged for all the grocery shopping and we had some great meals cooked to order by a lovely cook. The meals were served to us by the cook's family members and were modestly priced. This house is a bit ackward and not what you expect based on the photos and description in the ad. First of all, the main room is on the second floor meaning that when you enter the home you are greeted by a dark hallway and stairways. The pool is miniscule and right on the street for everyone to gawk. The rooftop terrace that is highlighted as the property's - and playa del carmen's- gem was dirty. The cushions were ripped, the table didn't have legs, the BBQ was dirty in a corner with plastic ties that made it impossible to use. However, the view was nice. It felt like an older home that needed updating and a major cleaning.

Owner response:we have a full walk through tour of the house...the main room is up the stairs (as the house is a two story house and the views are much better from the second floor) as for the dark hallway, there are light switches on both the top and bottom of stairway (during the daytime, it is great-white ceramic tiles for floor and wall painted white...this is a corner house and the pool wraps around the front of it (when we bought house and put pool in, we used 95% of the space have pool built-even put in a sit in bar overlooking caribbean Sea and have the only non-chlorine system in Playa-4 foot deep on larger portion and 2 foot deep area for kids) pool is located on a cobblestone street in a gated community with very little traffic and has a view of the Carribean Sea...the seams of the rooftop cusions have recently come apart due to the sun and are in the process of being replaced (they are custom size, and takes time to have made...the table does have legs (not the tradition four corner legs), it has two pedistals-(not sure what guest is saying here)..the grill is on the back of the rooftop and is stainless steel gas grill(2 years old), with the house being so close to the sea saltwater, the outside of the grill tends to get spots on it that look like rust...they are non removable...as for the older home? the house has all new appliances, new furniture, new beds - with 500 count egyption cotton sheets, new Air Conditioners (as a matter of fact-while guests were down there, one room AC unit went out and Julian (house Manager replaced it next AM)...the house is large white tile - Mexico style with 12 inch poured concrete walls...it gives you the Mexico feel, with all the luxury of moderness... This guest also negotiated a price due to it being her wedding, tried cancelling within 30 days of booking..I then looked for other guests to replace her time...then changed her mind, then also got extended time due to her "money issues" and just getting married...so I am dumbfounded at her posts.... 02/10/12 Positive Casa De La Pescada Blanca is always an excellent house to stay in. I stayed there three times and it is always great. The house is super clean and well maintained. The staff, Julian and cleaning ladies are always great. It is super close to town and the beach. Heads above staying in a hotel. 02/10/12 Positive We were able to postpone our trip one week and avoid the hurricane. It sure did not take the place long to recover. Any damage was obviously quickly repaired and you'd hardly know they went through a bad storm. Weather was perfect, people were friendly, and it was nice to be treated like VIPs when we went to the places recommended by the owners...preferred seating, service, etc. Location of this beautiful place to the main town could not have been better. I think we took a cab, maybe once or twice in 5 days. Always felt very safe walking, even late at night. Whether you want to party all night long or just relax, rest and enjoy a good book, I would suggest you 'give-it-a-try'. Jon, Twin Cities, MN 952-500-9850

We couldn't miss this opportunity to share our experience in Playa Del Carmen at "Casa De La Pescada Blanca. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had in years. We spent a good amount of time at the beach right in front of our house. We also play golf and went for lots of walks. The house is beautiful and allow for so much privacy. The staff was thoughtful and made every thing easy. We loved the roof top patio overlooking the ocean. We would wake up early grab our coffee and watch the sun rise. The location was perfect as there were many choices for dinner five walking minutes away and the night life was amazing. But I have to admit we never saw the real night life , because being the old folks that we are, we were in bed by 10:30. We would highly recommend this charming property. Sincerely, Bruce and Terri

I cannot say enough about the amazing time my family & I had while staying at Casa de la Pescada Blanca. We stayed June 14th-20th and didn't want to leave! It was simply paradise. Perfect location. Plenty of room for the 7 of us. Beautiful views. Loved waking up and walking on the beach. Very peaceful and relaxing. We didn't need to rent a vehicle, walking distance to many great restaurants, shops & entertainment. We spent time in the pool, at the beach, in town and on the roof top! Perfect place to be with plenty of options for an active vacation or relaxing one. Looking forward to go again.

Just returned from staying in Playa Car at La Casa Pescada Blanca. The house was fabulous and the owners very helpful and communicative. It is a 10 min walk from one end of the main street of Playa Del Carmen and the beaches at that end of town were calm- despite our visit during spring break. We are a family of 6 and it accomodated us with no problem. We went to the beach and used the pool regularly. The owners also recommended a transport company that was very reliable and professional. We used them instead of renting a car and avoided the high priced tours. I can highly recommend this home.

We stayed at Casa de la Pescada Blanca with two 26-year olds and two 20-year olds. A most memorable time was had by all. The pool looks small in the photos, but is just the right size for lazy hours in the sun. The ocean is just a block away and there are great views of it from many points in the house. The rooftop terrace and second level porch are especially inviting. The accommodations are excellent--resort-quality beds and linens--and the maid service is superb. While the walk into town might get a little old after several days, it truly is only ten minutes, through pleasant neighborhoods, to a well-designed upscale beach town. Several blocks of shops, restaurants and other curiosities afford something for everyone. The owners' dining recommendations should be followed religiously, as the only 'average' meals we ate were at places they did not highlight. Playacar is a great jumping-off point for getting to fishing venues, Tulum, Ceynote diving and beach villages down the coast. And there is plenty of recreational activities a short walk down the beach. Highly recommend Pescada Blanca for those who want to get away from the resort vacation experience and try something more casual, yet very comfortable. Mas Fina!

My husband, 3 sons,mother and I stayed in Casa De La Pescada Blanca in Feb.2008. We had a wonderful time! The home is nice and close to Playa and the beach. Our sons (me too!) really enjoyed the fresh water pool (it is a nice break for the salty water in the ocean.) The caretakers, Julian and his wife, were very nice and helpful. One of our sons forgot his ipod at the home and the Uram's got it back to us in Canada no problem. It is a great place and my favorite was the rooftop patio. We were fortunate enought to watch the eclipse from there!

We had such a great time at Casa De La Pescada Blanca in Playa de Carmen. The house is spacious, beautiful, and very comfortable. It is optimal for a large group. The ocean view from the roof-top deck is priceless and if you like sleeping under the stars, the deck can serve as an additional bedroom. Everything is close to the house and within walking distance. The personality of Playa is unique, quaint, artsy, and friendly. Lots of good food and drink, and things to do. Would definitely stay again. The price is right and it definitely beats a hotel. Has all the comforts and more of home.

We stayed in the casa about 7 years ago. We loved the house, location, everything then. The only thing we thought was missing was a private pool so when we came back in July of this year, the house was even better. The pool is gorgeous! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we'll be back again sometime - and we'll recommend the casa to anyone who wants to vacation in Playa del Carmen.

We had a great time at Casa De La Pescada Casa. The location was great for the beach and shopping/dining and the gated community made for a safe, relaxing environment. The house was wonderful and we really loved the pool, the hammocks and the top deck. The house had everything we needed and the girls really enjoyed their massages on the balcony. This is the perfect place to stay. Great for kids or just adults. LOCATION!LOCATION!LOCATION! You are footsteps away from the beach and a short walk to the marketplace.Playacar the subdivision this home is located in is gated so it helps keeps the community quiet.The home was perfect providing breathtaking views of the ocean and plenty of space to spread out and relax. We enjoyed private massages on the roof top and relaxing by the pool. Julian and the maids helped make our stay even more pampered as everything was very clean and prompt. Larry and Scott provided for every detail! Julian and the maids took very good care of us and the house! Excellent location to the beach and town! Dont miss the day trip to Talum! Be sure to sip Pina Coladas on the beach served to you by the Cabana Boys on the comfy blue beach chairs! Leave your towel as they provide them!!! Watch the beautiful sunsets on the roof of Casa Pescada Blanca and start your days swinging on the hammock with Ganat coffee! Spectacular!

WOW. Aside from the fantastic ocean view and the PRIME location within walking distance of the bubbling city and fantastic beaches, Pescada Blanco offered me a week of fantasy-like amenities. I secretly enjoyed seeing servants wash my dishes and fish out my cerveza bottle caps from the attached (and surprisingly deep) swimming pool. Sun + Beach + ocean + pool + lavish accomodations= one fantastic and relaxing and worry free vacation. I grade this place "A++"

This house was amazing! The location is ideal and within walking distance to 5th Avenue where you have a number of restaurants and bars to choose from. Clean and comfortable beds. The view from the roof is amazing and can't be beat. All the amenties needed to make a great vacation including a fabulous swimming pool. My vacation would not have been the same without the Casa pescada blanca. Would highly recommend.

The house facilitates a fantastic overall Playa Del Carmen experience. Highly recommended over any "hotel-to-beach" vacation. The location is very nice. Being on the North end of the Playacar community gives you just a short walk to all the PDC action. Many passersby mentioned how lucky we were to be so close (as we were enjoying cocktails in the front pool, of course!). Highly recommended for any family, families and/ or group of friends!

There is nothing better than waking up and hearing the ocean, the birds singing and the sun shining! Casa de la Pescada Blanca is an oasis! The staff is friendly but private, the neigborhood is beautiful, Playa is a hidden jewel. We have stayed a few times and have great memories and we are looking forward to many, mnay more trips and great times to be had by all. Scott: Just returned from Playa with 2 other couples and stayed at Pescada Blanca. Had a wonderful time: great location and great views from everywhere in the house. I slept outside on the bed on the roof/balcony several nights and could see all the lights from Cozumel, the sun come up on the ocean and always knew when it was 6am (the birds in the tree next to me would tell me). We have stayed at the White House twice and plan to do again very soon. The views of the Caribbean as the sun rises are second to none! Massages on the top deck in the late afternoons, cocktails while gently swinging in the hammocks, midnight dips in the pool or nearby ocean, nights dining and dancing at the myriad of restaurants and clubs...need I say more! Yes. The house staff has been very attentive, the accomodations comfortable, and the gated/guarded community adds to the overall comfort of staying in PDC. See ya soon..my tan is fading!!

The house is a dream vacation!! Located in a safe neighborhood and literally few steps from the beach. Each room is decorated with such pizazz and warmth. What a great place to spend a vacation. Not only is the house wonderful, relaxing and serene the staff is one of a kind. The view from all levels of the home is magic. As always this is the best place to stay for a vacation. Playa has everything anyone could desire. The house has a beautiful view, close to the beach, and nothing like having a cocktail in the pool at sunset. This was our 4 trip and look forward to being back in August.

We stayed at your beautiful house in May of 2005. Ourselves and two friends absolutely loved the house and Playa Del Carmen. We spent many evenings on the roof relaxing and even a nap or two during the day. We were in the pool daily and enjoyed saying hello to neighbors passing by. We played alot of golf at the the Playacar Club nearby and swam with the Dolphins as well as visiting Xcaret. The house was a perfect spot to have a very relaxing vacation. LOVED THIS HOUSE!!! Our family, along with two other families shared this house for a week in February. We all were very impressed with the size and layout of the house. Never once did we feel like we were in each others way - so much room to spread out. The rooftop is to die for - our olders girls loved sleeping out under the stars. Close to the beach and a pool!! We all loved being so close to the beach... Juilian and the maids were so nice and very respectful of our space.
