Exclusive Oasis, Private Water Ski Lake and Estate on 20 Acres
Year Purchased: 1995
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our property is described by most everyone who arrives as an oasis. It's close to town, but very private and secluded. We enjoy all the faces of the property landscape as it changes with the seasons as well as the wildlife. Birdwatching while relaxing outside, sipping wine, or enjoying the pool, lake or palapa in complete privacy is like being away on your own island.
Owner's Map of Sacramento
I grew up camping, waterskiing and eventually houseboating. From a young age, I had a dream of owning my own private lake, so that I might enjoy the glassy waters anytime. That dream became a reality in 1995. Both of my children were born and raised on the property. We've had many great times and fun gatherings here, the latest one being my wedding with my husband Rick. With his three beautiful girls, and my nephew, son, and daughter, we are now living in suburbia as the Suchomel Bunch. The great part is we are only fifteen minutes from our former home, now Palm Lake Retreat.
It's still the perfect gathering spot for our family. My kids love the track around the lake for anything on wheels. They also enjoy tubing and wakeboarding. My brother and others enjoy the sure thing bass fishing. Rick and I love the hammock, hot tub, the ever changing landscape that he tends to, and the absolute privacy when we can meet there without the kids!

We absolutely loved our family vacation at Palm Lake. We loved being able to play in the pool and watch people waterski and wakeboard. The kids had so much to do - they were never bored. They played in the pool, playhouses, skiied. We will be coming back again!

I was blessed enough to be able to stay here for a weekend this last July for my birthday. There are no words to describe the peacefulness, and beauty of the property right outside the city. My guests and I loved the water, and spent most of our entire time there swimming. I will definately rent this place again, Diane was wonderful!
Owner response:I'm happy I could meet our guests' needs. I'm always amazed how many none water skiers appreciate the property even without a motor boat. It's great for those who want a peaceful getaway, an intimate gathering, or a full out party.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Wow what an awsome place! Very private and tons to do. My family and friends spent the whole weekend fishing, boating and playing volley ball. We had a few fire pits at night and walked around the lake. This will be are favorite place for the rest of are lifes. The casino is only 15 minutes away and the mall is about 20. Thank you Palm Lake! We will bae back!!!
Owner response:Certainly this is not a place to get bored! Glad the renters enjoyed all the activities on site as well as the amenities just a short drive away. We now also have wine country that starts just up the street with Wise Villa Winery. So much to do, and plenty of places to relax as well.

Amazing property! Really pictures do not give the estate justice. Very private and safe. Such a safe place to bring young people and not be concerned with others on the lake. Also to have access to the pool at the same time was a plus! The dock was so beautiful, and the kids had a blast jumping off the top deck. We brought our SkiNautique, Wave RUnners and everyone young and old had a blast! The property was clean and well maintained. The kitchen was so easy to work in....the house nice and roomy, very comfortable. Ample Parking. Bathrooms lovely. The owner was so lovely and easygoing ....very accomodating. This Place is a 10+! **I had a BBQ place(Back40) cater our food and they did a great job!
Owner response:I keep hearing the pictures don't do it justice, but I love the ones the Moore family took and sent in. I'm glad the privacy and beauty of the estate was enjoyed by all. The dock has been beautified further since their stay, and we are laying the final new boards in Trex this weekend.

In a word.... EXCLUSIVE. Not in my best interest to give such a glowing review (we might fight over future dates LOL!) but this place is really something special. Very private, Very clean, and Very spacious. Unlike anything we've experienced before. Perfect place for children. Between the available land for bicycles, ATV's, mini bikes, go karts, etc.. and the lake, the little one's thought they were in Disneyland! Fishing, swimming, hot tubbing, exploring, playing in the forts..... it's all they talk about! The 2 story fishing dock was a perfect spot for cocktails and poker for the adults. The women in my family LOVED all the little touches and nooks throughout the house. Wasn't until we got there that we found out we had an on call concierge! Available for running into town for supplies, or chopping wood for the firepits outside. Nice touch. VERY friendly guy. The nearby town of Lincoln was enjoyed by the 2 shoppers in the family. The only negative (in my case, easily overlooked) was the electrical. It's apparent there's been A LOT of upgrades on this property, and I think Palm Lake would greatly benefit from a larger power transformer. Depending on how many appliances were on, sometimes breakers were tripped. BUT, these breakers are built into the outlets to easily reset them. It's not like you have to hunt down a circuit box somewhere.... Like I said, this was SO EASY TO OVERLOOK, and certainly hasn't stopped us from rebooking with Diane in May. This place is not 'cheap', but, like everything else in life, you get what you pay for. Hard to put a price on 'PEACEFUL'. Palm Lake has officially become our family's GO TO SPOT. Thanks Diane! Shane
Owner response:We often hear comparisons to Disneyland about our property. One family when given a choice to return or go Disneyland, came back to our property again as the kids overwhelmingly choose it over Disneyland. While we may not always have a concierge, we do our best to meet the needs of our guests. We can help with restaurant choices, babysitting, and local entertainment. On the electrical, I have added to the home instructions that in order for the jetted tub to work in the master bath, the switch in the master closet must be on. This was a safety feature installed for when small children with long hair are taking a bath, so they could not turn on the jets. We have an electrician looking into the larger transfomer so that plugs won't have to be reset if a breaker is tripped. I agree with Shane, you cannot put a price on peaceful!

About 8 girl friends had a fun Girls Weekend at your place. We sat out by the pool all day, ate and drank. Just had fun telling stories and laughing while eating and drinking. Then that night did some more laughing and eating and drinking. The place was a great get away and a great bonding weekend as well. Did I mention we ate and drank??? We loved it and we hope to make it an annual thing. Thanks so much for letting us spend the weekend at your beautiful home.
Owner response:I'm glad the complete privacy of our resort was enjoyed by all. Even though it feels like you are on a far away island when you are there, luckily the grocery store is only 15 minutes away! And the walk in pantry has plenty of room to store all that food and drink. I look forward to our "regulars" who return for annual trips.
