We just completed our stay on this property and we had a great time. The cabin was homy and clean and the lake was just beautiful. Although the was no WIFI, but who needs it when you have so much to do. We had a great time kayaking and cannoeing on the lake. My boys loved the lake's clear waters and the fact that there is an island with a diving board. At night, when the sky was clear, we could see millions and millions of stars. We could actually see the Milky Way. My older son had a great time using Google Sky Map top identify the planets. The location of the cabin and lake is great as it is within 30 minutes of Bar Harbor and Acadia Natinal Park. We had a great time sight seeing, playing golf, bowling, etc. There was just no time to be bored. We definitely want to go back sometime and would suggest it to anyone with teenagers.
Owner response:So glad you enjoyed it!

The cabin right on the pond was so quiet and peaceful. We kayaked on the pond and fished almost every night we were there. We had ducks and ducklings visit every day begging for food. The listing desciption was very accurate. The photos are exactly what it looks like inside. The property was clean and well-maintained. The owner answered all questions that were asked. I would definitely recommended this property to anyone looking in this area. We visited Acadia National Park about 4 days of our trip and it was perfect weather. We went into Bar Harbor several times. Gettys Restaurant was very good. The whale watching tour was awesome. We got to see humpback whales.

We just got back from a week at this cabin. We had such a great time. The cabin had everything we needed in the kitchen, (all cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc.) in the bedrooms ( four bedrooms, each with comfortable beds, extra blankets, rustic, charming furniture, dressers and racks for hanging our jackets), and outside (clothesline, grill, pit for roasting marshmallows, a porch with lots of comfortable furniture) and the best of all...the kayaks! We used the kayaks everyday two or more times a day to explore the lake. There were plenty of lifejackets, (which I learned the hard way, SHOULD be worn no matter how well you think you swim)...a canoe and bikes! Having the beach right out the frontdoor was just amazing. The owner, Tim, just seems like he wants his guests to enjoy his place. There were extra touches that made it nice, i.e., the makings for smores on the counter when we arrived, books, games, a journal to record guests' experiences, and more. We saw eagles, herons, and loons everyday. We went to Acadia three or four times to hike, to take a nature cruise and to walk around Bar Harbor. We had our teenagers, boys, ages 15 and 17, and they had a blast. We had also, our younger girls, who also loved it. Great, great trip.
Owner response:Thanks so much, we are happy you enjoyed it! Tim and Ann
