Your waterfront vacation place with a boat slip is in the most unique mixed use marina community in the Keys. Watch the fishing boats unload their catch. Walk the docks out of your front or back door with the yachts mixed in with the house boats mixed in with the treasure hunting fleet. Waterfront both front and back, you home overlooks the marina on both sides. Don't let the location fool you.
Your stay will be in a retreat with warm wood walls and cool local & Caribbean art. In addition to the two queen bedrooms, the bunk and convertible beds allow you configure the sleeping arrangements to suit your needs. The gate controlled access lets you park you car just in front of your home and your boat.
If you're the boating type, your boat slip with a floating dock to tie to, is just feet from your front door. There is immediate, deep-water (14') access through an unobstructed 300' wide channel to the Atlantic with close access to the back country and Gulf. A deep freezer is provided to store your catch. Plenty of room to park a trailer.
You will be staying on Stock Island, half of which is within the City of Key West. Old Town and Duval Street are about 5 miles away.
The unit is steam cleaned between guests with minimal use of chemicals.

This was our 2nd time staying in the condo, the main reason I like it is because it offers easy ocean access on my boat for day or night fishing. The restaurant is real close & convenient especially when coming back from a day of fishing and no one feels like cooking. The initial impression as your driving in, might make some people feel uncomfortable, mostly due to the nearby trailer parks and the commercial vibe the area gives, but we never had any problems, and the place tends to grow on you. We enjoyed sitting outside the cool patio table, having a drink, watching people & the commercial fishing boats with their catch. The owner is extremely helpful, he replied right away with any question I had. I would stay here again. I would definitely recommend it for anyone bringing a boat.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

The accomidations were aeclectic - as you would say "Key Weird" :) We were VERY happy with Michael and location, after I got to know it - way better than being jammed into a hotel! Stock Island is the "working class" area that supports Key West and neighboring areas - so you'll get a mix of reactions as you drive into Stock Island, but understand that Stock Island ALSO has some of wealthier Key West residents at the ends of the couple piers - so there is a HIGH quality mix of people/professionals living in this area (some low, some high). The best Yacht Club in Key West "area" is actually on Stock Island - do NOT judge a book by its cover. The Hogfish is two doors down, and the #1 local spot - live entertainment, open eastablishment - and I have to say - awesome food/fish. A lot of the food actually comes right down the pier, and we witnessed this. The accomidations are VERY well kept, VERY clean, and comfortable. Plenty of room for 6 people. Watch the sunset on one side and sunrise on the other. We will be returning for sure every year that we can for the week rentals. I highly recommend using Michael. They have a private slip, and next time we'll be using it - if you bring your boat, you basically are 2 feet from your door and 1/2 mile from the ocean. After getting a charter boat for a day, I realized how awesome that would be if we had our own. Plenty of ementies so just bring your shorts and tank, and toothpaste. You'll have a great time here!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Elegant little hidden gem on stock island. We brought a boat with us for fishing/diving. The boat slip is right out your front door. Quiet neighborhood right behind a well known restaurant. Owner was very helpful and the neighbors were friendly. Very short boat ride to the ocean. This place has all the amenities of home. 10 Minute drive to Duvall St (after you factor in road construction), $25 cab ride. Hope to see you again next year!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

I just spent the Fantasy Fest week in this lovely house! It's very nice, extremely cozy and perfectly equipped for having a wonderful stay. The property is on a pretty marina, full of boats. Right next to a famous local restaurant. Is only a 5 min drive to Key west' Duval street, but you could easly do it biking or skating! You can even bring your boat and have it right in front of it! I totally recomend itDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Sought a place for a guys' fishing week. Have stayed lots of places on Key West proper and Stock Island and have kept our rental boat in just as many marinas. The combination of lodging and boat slip offered by this gem on Stock Island was fantastic! Couple that with being 39 paces (yes, I walked it off!) from the Hogfish Bar & Grill and you've got everything you need. It is certainly for those that like the come-as-you-are attitude of the heart of the keys, but there is no "roughing it" with this unit. The amenities of the home are many, including a separate apartment with bed, kitchenette, bathroom, even separate entrance. The main bathroom is quite nice, but the well-functioning AC unit may be the best feature. Can't wait to go back.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers.

We three girls were there for Amy's 50th. The three of us have never been on vacation together yet we grew up in the same neighborhood and have been friends since we were three. Amy chose this charming "unit," I don't know what else to call it-- it is wonderfully unusual. The abode sits on a dock in the middle of the Safe Harbor Marina and is adjacent to and connected to the original Hogfish restaurant-- a lovely, casual restaurant and bar that has been around forever. The experience staying there is so much more enticing to me than staying in a hotel near Duval. A scooter got us everywhere we needed to go and the unit provided us a slip out the front door for our boat. Out the back door was more dock. In my regard one couldn't ask for more. However, if you want white carpet and an elevator to your room you will be out of luck with this rental!!! We enjoyed this place so much that my husband and I came back the next month. A few friends and I stayed in this condo in celebration of our birthdays. We had a wonderful time! We brought our boat and enjoyed the easy access to it as the condo is located right on the marina! We were within a short walking distance to a local bar which was a plus. The locals were very friendly as well. Also, Duval street was just a short safe cab ride away. We had an amazing time and will definitely return!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Overall the condo fit our needs perfectly. THE BAD: The mattresses were poor and the bedding could have used some updating, but overall the place was to our liking. There isn't much storage space for clothing. There wasn't any storage space in the room with the bunk beds, and a very small amount of drawer space in the 2nd bedroom. The master bedroom had a small wardrobe storage area that could hold a small amount of hanging clothes and there was open shelving on either side of the murphy bed. The a/c leaked in the master bedroom when we had it as low as it could go. When we raised the temperature a bit, it was fine. It took awhile for the condo to cool down after we first got there and the main room would get a little too warm during the day, but overall was fine. The fridge took a while to cool down when we first got there too. THE GOOD: There was plenty of room for our group to spread out and relax in the condo while we were there (4 adults and 2 kids(14 & 9)). The kitchen is small, but well stocked with utensils, dishes, etc. There is an outside sitting area and a grill. We loved being right next door to Hogfish and across the marina from Fishbusterz. We were able to pick up fresh caught fish from Fishbusterz and grill out at the condo. We also had a couple of meals at Hogfish, which were really good. The area seems a little sketchy, but it was absolutely fine. Everyone we came across was very friendly. We had our jetski trailer parked outside for the entire week and no one bothered it at all. We had our jetski docked right outside our door, which was awesome. We rented a boat for a day while we were there and had it delivered right to our door, again, awesome. Everyone we met or talked to said that the area the condo is in, is what Key West used to be like. We liked not being in the middle of the craziness that is downtown Key West, but could easily get down there in 5 - 10 minutes. We really enjoyed our time here. I spent several hours sitting on the dock watching the marine life and saw an assortment of tarpon, baracuda, shark, a spotted eagle ray and I even saw a manatee! The manatee swam right under our dock. That was a highlight for me. The pool at the Yacht Club was great too! Both the kids and adults loved it. Overall the place is nice and I would recommend it to anyone, noting that you should be very clear that you are not staying at a resort or a luxury hotel, but an average condo in a very eclectic area.Owner response: I'm sorry that you found our condo lacking in any respect. We pride ourselves as taking care of any issue that may arise during a stay. Unfortunately, the air conditioning issue was not called to our attention as it would have been immediately fixed. We take all comments to heart and strive to only make it better. Thank you for your stay.
