Accommodations: Beach front house with unobstructed view of the Atlantic Ocean. There are 4 Bedrooms and 2 full baths. Experience living on a white sand beach that stretches as far as the eye can see on the ever-changing Atlantic Ocean. Fire Island is an unique barrier beach flanked by the Atlantic Ocean where the sun rises and the Great South Bay where the sun sets.
You have a perfect view of both. One minute you can be bodysurfing in the ocean and the next windsurfing on the bay. The bay is very shallow which makes it great for children and a fun place to try clamming.
The white sand beach on the ocean is for whatever you want it to be from reading to long walks collecting treasure, to paddle ball, Frisbee and volley ball, to wiffle ball to gymnastics. But what really makes Fire Island a true paradise and different than any other place in the world is its lack of traffic. There are no roads, just boardwalks throughout the community. It's life without demands, without worries.
A true vacation. Water taxis are available to zip you along the bay to other Fire Island communities each with its own flare. For a day trip on foot explore the nature preserve at the National Seashore Park in Watch Hill just a few miles down the beach. Its renowned bird sanctuaries can be explored as you follow the nature trail. You'll also find a snack bar and restaurant at the Watch Hill harbor.
Davis Park has a small grocery and liquor store with premium pricing. Most vacationers bring provisions from the mainland. We provide a wagon for carting your things to the house. It's all part of the charm. There is also a snack bar by the bay and a restaurant and bar on the ocean with a wrap around deck.
Live entertainment is featured. Daily newspapers and groceries can be delivered. Contact the local Ferry Service through Google "DAVIS PARK FERRY" additional information on deliveries and the ferry schedule over to the island.
