I live since 23 years good part of the year in Bali and love this island more than anything else. The periods I am not there I like to share my own house with guests like You (which helps me to recover also part of the expenses). What a marvelous holiday!!! We arrived 4 hours late in the evening, but notwithstanding worries, our elegant driver, Made, was waiting for us at the airport exit and escorted us to the villa in less than 15 minutes’ drive. The first impact was breathtaking… the garden is lit with hundreds of lights and wherever you look you find art and culture. It was like entering into an enchanted dimension. Wayan, the villa’s cute night-guard toured us around and explained the essentials. We both were all smiles and the moment we were alone we had a marvelous refreshing plunge in the most beautiful and warm swimming pool. “The BED” there is no bed like that bed (referring to the master-bedroom)… it is absolutely gigantic and sleeping in this vast and unrestraint freedom is almost addictive. (once home we changed our bed to a much bigger one, but it is still not the same “the STAFF” the two maids are stunningly intelligent and in more than one occasion just anticipated our thoughts. We heard that the owner has been a director in a 5 star resort and surely he knows how to convey luxury and service beyond our wildest dreams. Everything was incredibly and unexpectedly perfect. We had only two weeks, but it were the best! Made toured us through the island and thanks to his insights we feel all a bit Balinese now. The two maids, especially Illo are very good cooks and we enjoyed a few candlelight dinners at the poolside, the ‘nasi goreng’ and ‘prawn-saté’. Bali is the most beautiful place in the Universe and Villa Dermawan is right at its center. If you are looking for the perfect holiday with those you love, no better place than Villa Dermawan

truth is, i have been many times to Bali, I/we were always looking for the perfect place to stay. we tried the best Hotels (Four Seasons, Oberoi, The Legian, Amandari) even the totally over priced Bulgari, finally some friends told us that renting a villa would be cheaper and much better. At first we were doubtful, but now ... I couldn't agree more. From the pick-up at the airport by Made to the warm welcome in this fantastic place, i don't think we ever have experienced anything more beautiful.! The photos render only partly the beauty of the place, the architect was a genious, the more you stay the more you discover the beauty. The staff, Iluh and Nyoman are just marvelous, they treated us with so much love that from the first moment we felt at home. Breakfast is a feat fit for a King, (You must also try their cooking skills (the springrolls are a total smashing hit!) The location of the villa is superb, just a few meters walk to the beach, a few hundred meters from night life, shopping and superb dining. The spa in front gives a remarkable good massage at very competitive prices. The pool is a gem and has been designed with much intelligence, we loved the 'sunbed' at one end (the perfect place to make love in the night under the sparkling stars) everything in the villa was pure perfection. Ralph, the owner, although in Europe, gave us the best tips where to go and what to do over Skype. Bali by itself id heaven, and villa dermawan is probably its most precious jewel. To all the follow up guests: WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, YOU COULD NOT CHOOSE BETTER! when you arrive have a look at their guest book, there are plenty of celebrities who left the most charming words. we will come back every year!!!

We stayed for our very first Bali visit at Villa Dermawan. I wasn’t sure how it would work with two little girls….it was perfection! The villa is stunning, the staff is kind, sweet and efficient. It was perfect for romantic dinners and family fun in the pool. It was also close to everything; Kudeta, the beach, surf lessons and tons of shopping. My girls fell in love with the bunnies! It was an ideal location for a family vacation.
