On a country road in the White Mountains, this turn-of-the-century farmhouse is a peaceful family retreat. The house has four bedrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 full baths, 2 wood stoves and a large, eat-in-kitchen. The kitchen is fully applianced and features a large bay window with a view of fields and hills. The decor is a mix of antiques and country furniture. Outside is a spacious farmer's porch with rocking chairs. The location is a five minute drive to downtown Littleton and is within walking distance to Moore Reservoir for swimming, boating and fishing.
Wildlife you may see during your visit include moose, deer, wild turkeys, horses, owls, frogs and birds such as killdeer, barn swallows, redwinged blackbirds, woodpeckers and hummingbirds. Views from the bedrooms include the apple orchard, stone wall, garden and fields.
In the town of Littleton, there are many restaurants, shops, antique stores, a movie theater, and the world's largest candy counter at Chutters. There are numerous covered bridges, historic sites, and scenic drives in the region. The house is close to many White Mountain attractions, such as Franconia Notch State Park, Echo Lake, the Flume Gorge, Storyland, and Mount Washington Auto Road and Cog Railway.
