Why the Owner Chose Other New Orleans Properties
Gilles and Kim love old houses with charm and good bones to work with. Our city is filled with them! We bought this Jardin when in a state of complete disrepair. This Broadmoor neighborhood has been the strongest in New Orleans to return since Katrina. It has numerous homes that are architecturally significant and either have been completed or are in the process. We are proud to be a part of New Orleans recovery and renewal.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
Renovated to perfection! New baths and kitchen, completely repainted and totally equipped for a
most comfortable stay in New Orleans. Jardin offers guests the opportunity to live like a native in an historic neighborhood.
Owner's Map of Other New Orleans Properties
We are avid preservationists and renovating one property at a time in New Orleans has been a second career for both of us. There is nothing like the feeling of saving an architectural gem from the wrecking ball while contributing to our neighborhood and community. And coming from Ohio and Maine, we are proud to call New Orleans our home and we are proud to be a part of the rebirth and renewal of New Orleans, the most unique city in the world.

New Orleans Golf Trip

I organize our yearly guys only golf trip and one of the hardest things to do is to find appropriate accomodations. I have used VRBO for a couple of years with good results. The problem with New Orleans was the large number of properties. I narrowed it down to three and asked my fellow travelers, we eventually agreed on property #2666. TThe owner was friendly and the price ws quite reasonable. When I asked for access the day before to do a grocery run, Kim cheerfully agreed to drop the keys off to me. I had a hard time finding a decent supermarket in the area. When I arrived at the house with my meager groceries I found a listing of grocery stores, recommended restaurants and so on. My secong grocery run was more productive! ! The house itself was clean and well appointed. The kitchen was spacious and had modern appliances including a gas range plus an adequate amount of dishware, cutlery and pots and pans. Each of the four bedrooms had a comfortable queen size bed, a television and a closet. THe bathrooms were large and bright with plenty of good quality towels. There was a comfortable back deck with a bbq and plenty of room to sit with a glass of wine and have an evening chat. The house was ideally located for golf with easy access to the highways. THe house is minutes away from the French quarter. THe airconditioning and ceiling fans keep the house cool inspite of the New Orleans heat. Would I rent the property again? Yes I would, it is well priced, conveniently located, well maintained and the owner is easy to work with.
Owner response:Geoff, Whoa... 5 out of 5....big thanks to you and the guys. It's like a hole in one for us! Best, Kim

It was our 5th year in NOLA for St. Patty’s weekend and we rented the Jardin home. We had a group of 8 adults staying in the house and had no problem sleeping comfortably. The house is spacious and very relaxing. The kitchen was great for everyone to be able to hang out while cooking and grilling on the back deck, and came in handy for those NOLA late night snacks. A TV in all of the bedrooms, grill on the back deck, large front porch with swing... it was great. Getting a cab can take a bit, so give yourself enough time. The owners were extremely nice. They answered their phone when we had a question, and let us check in early and checkout a little late. We all had a blast and would consider this home again.

Our family (8 people including 3 children ages 4-9) spent the weekend at this house and were totally satisfied. It was even better than the listing description and pictures show. Very spacious and all in top condition. More than enough towels, ect, and everything we needed was already in the kitchen except for the perishable food. Spacious, beautifully appointed bedrooms. Coach in den can serve as a bed for one if need-be. Owner very helpful and accomodating. A short, easy drive to French Quarter, Superdome. We only ate fast food close to the house (McDonalds) but there were other restaurants nearby. Driving through the neighborhood to get there gave us a pause, but once we got on the street where the house is located, we were fine. Felt completely safe, even coming in late at night. We will definitely stay here again!

More beautiful than the photos. A great location for exploring the many wonderful sides of New Orleans. Very spacious and great for families. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and it was overall a delight. Would gratefully return any time. We had a group of 6 and had plenty of room and plenty of fun.

This place is huge! Great kitchen and great bedrooms, we absolutely loved it. It's a short drive into the French Quarter or the Garden District but why go out there when you can relax on the verandah?

I'm local and checked around before renting this place for my family to stay for a week. It was really nice, super clean and comfortable. They loved it. Great modern amenities, but with the original craftsman-style trimmings. Centrally located, quiet neighborhood- quick drive to anywhere. Highly recommended!
