This is an Amazing Country Estate. The house is over 5000 square feet on four acres of tropical landscaped gardens. There is a 360 degree view from the property with amazing views both day and night of San Jose in the distance. The rooms are large and the ceilings are high. The house was built in 2000 to USA standards so you will find it very comfortable.
Local TV. We have a solar heated pool and a five person Jacuzzi Spa with 50 jets and digital temp control. Also exercise equipment, Wi-Fi high speed Internet. There is an outdoor fireplace next to the pool so you can enjoy the cool Atenas evenings by the fire while you take in the amazing view.
Take a walk through the tangerine and banana tree grove and see the wild toucans and other local birds and animals. The property is located on a hill top surrounded by coffee farms and cattle ranches. the kitchen has everything you need to cook a most meals. This house is great for large family vacations or other large groups. Great for Yoga or Meditation or a business retreat. the house has a washer and dryer that is shared with the property owner who stays in the guest house. He can help with accommodations but will always respect your privacy. There is a full time Gardener.
Atenas has spring like conditions all year round. The daytime highs are 82 and the lows at night are 68. The two master suites have air conditioning and all the rooms have ceiling fans. There is always a nice breeze and the temperature is mild so you rarely need the fans or air conditioning.
There are also some nice restaurants in the Atenas area. Since we are centrally located it is very easy to take sightseeing trips. It is very easy to get to the Poas and Irazu Volcanos, Waterfall Gardens, Cartago, San Jose Museums, Jaco Beach and all the central pacific beaches, Casinos,the amusement park the La Guacima race track, large shopping malls and much more. The property entrance is on the main Hwy to Jaco so we are easy to find and you do not need to drive on dirt roads. There are some nice places to hike near the property. You can also see great views of the Pacific Ocean on this hike.
If you need a smaller rental please contact us to talk about renting a single room at a time rather than the whole house. based on availability. Rates are $50 to $60 per room (other rooms may be occupied during your stay)
