Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2006
Anna has been in the hospitality business for years and Jesse is a landscape designer for a local company. We have two toddlers who keep us very busy on top or our jobs and maintaining Bergey's on Founders Way! Our family owns a bed and breakfast in the city of Harrisonburg and we live next door to the B&B now.
Bergey's on Founders Way was our first home. With a growing family, we decided it was time for a bit more space and moved about 10 minutes from the house. We turned it into a vacation rental in order to maintain the property and create income for our family. It's a great opportunity for us and it has served those who rent the home very well! Thanks for reading about us
Why the Owner Chose Harrisonburg
Bergey's on Founders Way was our first home which we purchased in 2006. We loved living in this location but with a growing family, we decided it was time (in 2009) for a bit more space and moved about 10 minutes from the house.
We turned it into a vacation rental in order to maintain the property and create income for our family. It's a great opportunity for us and it has served those who rent the home very well!
The Unique Benefits of this Townhome
Nowhere else in town will you find a fully furnished home with an equipped kitchen, grill outside, easy parking and more at such an affordable price.

This place is wonderful!! We have stayed twice now and have thoroughly enjoyed both stays. The townhouse itself is really nice, spacey, clean, and beautifully decorated. It's so convenient to all the things right there in Harrisonburg, especially JMU. The owners are so accomodating and very nice to talk to and work with. I would definitely recommend this property to my friends, family, and anyone interested in staying in a "home away from home." It is also reasonably priced and so much nicer than staying in a hotel. You can actually share it with your family and friends.
Owner response:Thank you for your thoughtful review!! Hopefully you'll have another reason to come back to Harrisonburg in the future and be our guest again! Best to you and your family! -Anna

We just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay at this beautiful town-home. We had came out to visit our son who lives in Bridgewater Va. and the home was perfect for our family. It truly was our home away from home with everything we needed for the time we spent in Va. We especially appreciated how Anna worked with us and made sure that we had everything we needed. We would highly suggest her home to anyone who visits the area. We look forward to coming back this year and are hoping that her property is available.
Owner response:Thank you, Mike and Debbie, for your review! We are so happy you enjoyed the home and we certainly hope to have you back again soon!

My wife and I spent an entire month at this rental property and it became our home away from home. Very comfortable to just relax, entertain relatives in the area, and not feel like we were imposing on anyone. The home is decorated very nicely and it was easy to just 'blend-in". The great landscaping gave us a warm feeling since we also love plants. There were no noise issues with any of the neighbors and we were able to sleep with the windows open virtually every night based on the pleasant weather. For anyone looking for a super nice place to stay with room to spread out, this townhome at 1225 Founders Way should be your first choice. Harrisonburg has a great pulic transporation system, and having a bus stop a few feet from the front door of this nice neighborhood, provides the ability to shop, see sites, or just explore if you do not have a car available some or all of the time. Thans for the gracious interaction with the owners, they are super people!
Owner response:Dan & Maxine: Thanks you so much for the kind words and feedback! We look forward to having you again in the Fall!

My family rented this very comfortable townhome when we were in Harrisonburg for our son's wedding. The property was well maintained, kitchen had sufficient cooking and dishware for 8 people. The decor is very tastefull and welcoming. The furniture was comfortable, the rooms welll appointed. The amenities, included an entertainment system including large scrren TV w/cable and DVD player. The music system included a hookup for MP3/I pods. Anna also provided family games and selection of reading material. We very much enjoyed this home away from home and thanks Anna for thinking of everything which made our first time experience using a rental home the only way I plan to travel from here on.
Owner response:Wow, Mary! What a compliment! I'm so happy you enjoyed the house. Please come again if plans bring you this way again. Best Wishes!

This townhouse was perfect for our group of 5 (plus a baby)-- close to town and the friends we were visiting, very clean and comfortable, and very well equipped. Anna Bergey was friendly and so nice to work with. If we make it back to Harrisonburg, we will definitely try to stay here!

This was a very comfortable house for our long weekend stay for JMU's Graduation. A well equipped kitchen, breakfast foods in the fridge waiting for us, comfortable bedrooms, very quiet location and an easy access to campus....it was just perfect for our 'home away from home' for this special occasion.
Owner response:Thank you for your review! We're so glad it suited your needs and we hope you'll be back if you are passing through Harrisonburg!
