  We had a wonderful vacation. We LOVED the house, it is very roomy and has a great view. We loved that the house was at the end of a creek, so that we didn't have a lot of drive by traffic. The house was very clean and everything was in great condition. We made good use of the pool and swing chairs. The owner was very easy to deal with and very friendly. Thanks for letting us enjoy your home.

  I stayed at this house from just after Christmas to just after the New Year. It is a very pleasant large house, which was helpful since we had three generations from three different households there. Upstairs there are four bedrooms, but while one has a King sized bed, the other three have single twin beds. However, there is a very comfortable, King size, futon sofa/bed downstairs as well large comfy sofas around the TV set which the three kids monopolized. My 14 year old daughter and 12 year old niece also staked a claim to the master bedroom and its king bed, my 21 year old daughter staked a claim to the King size futon bed downstairs, our mother took a single bedroom. and my sister and I put the mattress from the twin bed in the smallest bedroom on the floor next to the bed in the fourth bedroom and had a very good time. The kids really loved the little dock at the house and liked trying to capture fish there with the net. A pleasant benni is the New Year's fireworks over Blackwater Sound could be easily seen from the first and second floor balconies of the house, which from my perspective meant that we were able to stay at home, have a pleasant meal with champagne for the adults and sparkling cider for the others, light sparklers around the swimming pool and encourage people to jump into it, pull crackers, wear paper hats, blow noisemakers, and watch the countdown on the TV rather than have to take underage kids to Sundowners or Cactus Jack's. John Pennekamp National Marine Park is indeed within walking distance, however it is on the other side of U.S. 1. My sister and I walked it several times, but when we went with the kids we drove. (To be honest, park entry is cheaper driving if you are going with more than 2.) We went glassbottom boat sailing and boat snorkeling there, and it was much cheaper than doing that privately. The boat snorkeling was SUPERB!! Every bit as good as when we went snorkeling in Hawaii and in Puerto Rico! The beach snorkeling was a joke. Although there are a couple of cannon and an anchor in about 10 feet of water about 50 yards off of Cannon Beach, the few polyps growing on them are not worth the bother of swimming out to look at them. (Maybe in another 500 years.) You can also rent canoes and kayaks there and kayak through the mangroves and that is also worth doing. The beaches of Miami are only about 90 minutes away, and we went up a couple of times to enjoy body surfing.

  We rented Los Cayos all winter and spring 2011 and LOVED it. The house has everything for a great vacation and the owners are very accommodating and responsive. We picked this rental from the VRBO website and it was accurately represented and well stocked with amenities. Right on the canal, it was easy to launch our kayak and the manatees visited weekly. We will definitely be returning and would recommend this rental to friends. There are several great restaurants nearby, The Fish House Encore, Num-Thai & Sushi Bar, Mamma Onesti, and the Sundowner. Lots to see and do!

  Recommended for: Pet owners, families with young children.

  This home was very clean, the home and property was large and comfortable, you can tell the owners pay attention to detail. A good time was had by all! We would definitely stay here again...

  The house is great! We all had a wonderful time! Everyday there were manatees outside next to the docks and they were swam right up to us. The owners are very nice and the house is beautiful. I would recommend staying here! We had ten people and there was enough room for everyone. The outdoor living space with couches and pool table and ping pong and TV was an awesome place to hang out every night. Great vacation :)

  We stayed at this amazing house for 12 nights and we really enjoyed our stay.Everything is so new and clean!!The house is established with so many nice details so you have to feel well from the very first moment. We will definately come back!

  Spacious 4 bdrm with nice sized balconies, but the veranda type, open hang out place that connects the canal, the pool and the front yard under the house what just made the place extremely fun for us. I have 2 little girls and the house was perfect for our 2 weeks stay. A nice, quiet getaway, a flexible and accommodating owner, friendly neighbors. Highly recommend it.
