Cape Town, to me, is heaven on earth! Perched up on the slopes of Signal Hill with astonishing views of Table Mountain, the harbour and the Atlantic Ocean--there is no better place to be. I love the position of my home and its unique layout. To me it's an oasis, a calm retreat right in the heart of the city.

The slopes of Signal Hill(right at the back door of this rental) allow for dramatic panoramic views of the city and the sea, as well as opportunities to admire our world-famous proteas and other fynbos.

Hi, I'm Alison and I'm a fourth generation South African, having grown up on my family's farm in the Eastern Cape. I have 3 children and a granddaughter (who lives in Portland, Oregon). I've always enjoyed doing up houses and I'm a passionate gardener. I love hosting visitors from all over the world, and seeing them enjoy the beauty of Cape Town. When you stay in my house, you are tucked away, high up above the city, but close to everything. When you step out of the back gate, you're right on Signal Hill and can enjoy South Africa's proteas and other unique flora in this, the world's smallest but most diverse floral kingdom. My daughter and I have a furniture shop, sourcing a variety of antiques from India. These pieces have found their way into my home, mixing with the old Cape settler pieces passed down through my family. I hope wherever you stay that you will enjoy all the magnificence of Cape Town.
