Kaanapali Royal Condos

Every once in a while we have an experience that is above and beyond our expectations. In Feb 22, 2012 such an experience began for my family. We booked 16 days at the Kaanapali Royal Condos in Kaanapali, HI. (Property # 26689). The minute we walked into the condo we knew we were in for a fantastic adventure. The condo was beautiful and spacious. The rooms were large, the kitchen was well equipped and the view was spectacular. The owner was very accommodating and responsive - he did everything to make the rental run smoothly. He answered every question we posed and verbally went over all of the pertinent information that we needed. He provided a set of written directions that covered every possible contingent. Our 16 days were extremely unforgettable and rest assured, next time we go to Maui we will make every effort to rent Property # 26689!

Spacious condo in great location

Had a wonderful stay in this spacious 2 bed, 2 bath condo. We were two couples and couldn't have wished for a nicer place. It was in a quiet gated community looking over the golf course and a short and pleasant walk down to the sea walk where there are lots of restaurants etc. The place was very clean, well furnished and had as many conveniencies in the condo as one would have in their own home. The grounds are well kept and the pool area is very welcoming. We had a great stay. Rick was very good to deal with. Answered all our questions and then some, returned our emails and phone calls promptly. Definitely a great place to stay.

A Place to Chill

Being returning visitors to Maui this property was exactly what we needed. Beautiful panoramic ocean views and sunsets from the living room and balcony and the master bedroom. The decor was just perfect and enticing for rest and relaxation. The amenities in the unit gave little reason to go out once you arrived. There was nothing we lacked while staying, it was tastefully decorated, pleenty of reading material, games, and videos for viewing. The owners were very helpful and kind. Shopping and dining were just a short walk away to Whaler's Village or the Kaanapali Shops. It will definitely be my #1 property upon returning.

GREAT FAMILY VACATION!

This was the first time we braved a family trip with adult kids AND five grand kids! It was the perfect trip! We rented two large units very close to each other. This unit was one of them. It was just wonderful. Not only was there plenty of room for the adults but also very accommodating for the little ones. Everyone had their own space which made things really nice. I am late in putting in my review but maybe it is a good thing. My husband and I are currently on vacation at a timeshare unit in Myrtle Beach, SC. While the place is nice, the condo has only the minimal kitchen needs to get by. I mean come on, only one little skillet with no lid? Believe me, as we were, you will be joyfully surprised with the furnishings of this condo. Most everything you could think of in the way of cooking - utensils, dishes, pots & pans, even spices and some condiments are there! I can't tell you how wonderful it was to have so many "little" things at our disposal. Not only that, there are games, books, toys and recreational equipment all there for you to use. The unit itself was in the perfect location. The views and sunsets from the deck were gorgeous and the nifty little barbecue on the deck will cook your brauts to perfection! There are plenty of chairs for everyone and you can look down onto the pool. We loved the pool for the little ones. It is large, warm and never crowded. There are also full tables, chairs and barbecues around the pool. We even had an engagement party for our daughter and her fiance one evening. Last but not least, the rates at this condo are great! You would be hard pressed to find a better deal in Ka'anapali with such spacious accommodations and the owner's are delightful to deal with. Would we come back again? ABSOLUTELY!!

2011 Family Vacation

The excellent location provided convenient access to the beach, Whalers Village, and the highway. The accommodations were comfortable and spacious for our family of four. It was a pleasant bonus having beach items including boogie boards and chairs to borrow. I would be happy to rent this unit again.

Wonderful place, could not have been to a more fitting location. Easy access to the beach and lovely view during the evening. Parking close and not over filled. Full house hold items that were there for our use. Clean comfortable beds with plenty of space. Will easily stay there in the future.

Retirement Retreat

My family and I took a retirement trip to Maui and stayed at Richard's condo. We had a couple very minor mechanical problems that often arise regardless of where you stay. Richard quickly and efficiently dealt with the issues and the rest of our stay was flawless. The best way to evaluate an owner who rents their condo is not when things go right but when things occasionally go wrong. Richard gets an A+ and I would be happy to stay at his condo again and would recommend his condo and him without reservation.

This was our first private condo rental and I had many questions. The Beck's made everything worry free and provided every detail needed about their condo, complex and things to do in Maui. Their condo unit was very clean and had every comfort of home (plus extras). Their unit had tons of space for our family of five (three teenage kids). The views of the ocean, pool area and golf course are great. The complex is about a 5 to 10 minute walk to shops, restaruants and the beach. If you don't want to walk there is limited free beach parking at each of the beach front hotels (get there early). We would like to thank the Beck's for responding to our questions so quickly and for sharing such a great place to stay. WE WILL STAY THERE AGAIN NEXT TIME WE VISIT MAUI!

We stayed here in May for a week and loved every minute! The condo is easy to find, large, air conditioned, fully furnished and stocked, faces the pool and very very quiet! I never slept so well in my life! We brought my 2 year old son and he enjoyed the condo, beach, pool and surroundings as well. There were children's toys, movies and a high chair. There is a short walk to the beach, but we did not mind. It was beautiful out and after eating so well, it was good to walk! The beach is beautiful, free, calm and quiet. The owners were great to work with and were very accomodating. We did not have 1 problem with anything at all. I would recommend this rental to anyone. Just perfect!

Maui Vacation

Enjoyed the unit & property location very much. Close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Condo was spacious and well set up for cooking, dining & relaxing. Nice to have a BBQ on the lanai as well to prepare some meals. Beach chairs, mats, boogy boards available to use as well a good selection of movies for the younger crowd. The binder with information, some provided by previous guests, was a great help in deciding what to do and places to visit Wonderful view from the lanai to the ocean and the golf course. We enjoyed being able to sit by the pool in the afternoons and read in the quiet surroundings. We traveled over most of the island by rental car and always enjoyed coming back to the condo after the days outing, almost like coming home. Listing info was very accurate and the photos clearly showed the property appearance and surroundings. Owner contacted us the day after we arrived to ensure all was well and we found everything in order. The directions provided by the owner on how to reach the unit were accurate and easy to follow. Great people to deal with. We would love to return to the area and would have no hesitation in recommending the property to friends and relatives.

We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend staying here. An outstanding value. Very nice property that easily accomodated our family of six. The well equiped kitchen and pool side gas grill made home cooking easy. Loved the large lanai overlooking the golf course. Short walk to the beautiful Kaanapali beach and the mall. Kids loved the large waves and jumping off Black Rock. Rick is a very helpful host.

We had not been Maui before and feel we really lucked out in choosing the Beck's condo. As stated, the location could not have been better. Close enough to be in walking distance to Whaler's Village and one of the best beaches in Maui, yet far enough for peace and quiet. Best of both worlds. The condo pool is spacious, with a huge green space and patio area. We enjoyed meeting many of the other condo owners and renters. Really friendly atmosphere. Rick is an excellent person to rent from. Very good communication prior to our arrival and goes out of his way to make your vacation the best possible. We had a very minor problem with the fridge upon our arrival and notified Rick. Within the day, he had the problem fixed. We had a late flight out and I asked Rick if we could have a late check out. " Not a problem, stay as late as you want". Just a great guy. The condo is spacious and completely self contained. The upstairs bedroom was a bonus as we had a one year old who had a nice quiet, dark room for her naps. The lanai is large and we were able to eat most of our meals outside. The only thing to be aware of for anyone with a disability or trouble walking, there are a number of stairs. I would not hesitate recommending the Beck's condo.

Owner response:Mahalo! Darrell & Susan we're very happy you enjoyed your stay. About the steps...yes there are a set of stairs from the parking lot up to our condo, which is on the top (3rd) floor. There is also another set up to the master bedroom. Some of the third floor units have two sets of stairs. The advantage is a nice ocean view from both the living and master bedroom. Also, many of the "ground" floor units actually have a set of stairs going down, as the entire complex is built on a slight slope. There are no elevators. This was our first use of the VRBO System. We had some reservations about using VBRO but we could not have been more pleased with our overall experience. Owners Rick and Lauri Beck made our stay easier than checking into a Hotel Room. They check with you on arrival day and are available should you have questions during your stay. They are real pro’s and walk you through everything you could possibly want to know. They give you tips on what to see in the surrounding area as well as where to park if you decide to drive to the beach verses talking the short walk to the beach. We did both. Being able to walk to Whalers Village in about 5 minutes to shop or a Mai Tai at the Hula Bar and Grill was great not to mention the happy hours on their Lanai overlooking the Ocean and breathtaking nightly Maui Sunsets. Their spacious Family friendly fully equipped Condo is very nicely decorated with comfortable beds. It came with “everything” we needed during our 16 day stay that made us feel at home. Our Grandkids made extensive use of the Boogie Boards, Sand Toys and Videos provided by the Becks. We enjoyed the quite large Pool area as it was a relaxing break from the beach. Our overall experience with the Beck’s is definitely 5 out of 5. We will be back and would not hesitate recommending this Condo to all of our friends and have done so already. Thank you Rick and Lauri you’re the best!!!!

From Denver to Kaanapali

My family and I enjoyed staying at this property located in our favorite part of the island. This condo is spacious and the owners took obvious measures to make the property infant friendly. If we needed anything the owner could be reached anytime by phone. We loved staying right on the golf course and at the same time being a short walk to a string of beautiful beaches. We hope to be back next year!

We just spent one week in this condo with 3 adults, one three year old and a two month old baby. It was a perfect place to stay with small children. There was a crib, highchair that converted to a toddler table and a little stroller. It was very clean with a well supplied kitchen and plenty of dishes and cutlery. The lanai was lovely with its western view over the ocean and perfect sunscreens to help filter the late afternoon sun.We enjoyed our morning coffee and breakfast there as well. The pool is clean and easily accessible from the unit. It has many nice lounges and several shaded tables and chairs. All the instructions and information we received prior to our arrival was detailed and very helpful. There was a binder in the unit with many useful suggestions. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and hope to return again ourselves.

A great unit for a family vacation.There was three generations in our group and we all had space to enjoy. Sitting on the lanai of an evening catching up on all our days' activity was special,especially with the wonderful view we had overloking the golf course out to the ocean. It was great to be able to walk to Whalers Village and down to some of the hotels. The amenities at the complex were great and the office staff very pleasant. I enjoyed walking into a nice clean,comfortable unit with every thing at our finger tips. I hope to go back in the future as it is the perfect place for family.

2010 Kaanapali Royal Review!

Great family-friendly condo in a great location. Plenty of space and gorgeous views close to shops, eating and main highway. Comfortable layout for families, we slept a family of four in the spacious master bedroom, toddler in the crib, preschooler on the futon and grown ups in the king-sized bed. Grandma and Grandpa had their own accommodations in the main floor bedroom. This arrangement allowed for plenty of together time as well as the ability to lay kids down for naps in a quiet area. The lanai was everyone's favorite spot! Plenty of space for all once again. Can't stress enough the family-friendly aspect of this condo. Full kitchen, crib, toys, videos and condo layout maximized our experience. Also of note, we were there during the tsunami warning and Rick was kind enough to call and check on us and to reassure us that all was well! They have all bases covered with emergency equipment and owner attention. Mahalo for a wonderful stay!

I would highly recommend the condo to anyone looking for a place that you can feel like staying in all day if need be. All the daily living items are available in the unit. Birds and geckos visit the deck. In particular I enjoyed not being right on the ocean and mixed with all the people. A little walk each day from a quiet place nestled on a slight hillside provided just enough exercise to look forward to. Great location to everything. Pool was well maintained and not loud or crowded. We will be back!

Owner response:Thank you Scott! The reason we love Ka'anapali Royal is the quiet atmosphere yet easily accessable to the action at the beach and resorts. Sometimes a person just wants to read a book and kick back by the pool, or stare out at the ocean with a glass of wine. Other times you may want to party at one of the hotel bars, dine upscale or oceanside at one of the many resort restaurants, surf, snorkel, dive, shop! Oh and GOLF!
