Waipio Rim offers a private upstairs studio for one or two guests. The room was built next to the main house and furnished in 2009. At an elevation of 900 feet, it offers drop away views into Waipio Valley from a private, covered lanai.
The view includes the black sand beach of Waipio Valley, taro patches under cultivation, whales in the winter, and Maui on a clear day.
The property is perched above Waipio Valley at the end of a private road. The road and lot were carved from the top of the Valley wall. Large tracts of forest adjoin the property on three sides. To the north, the view drops straight into the Valley and out to the ocean.
The unit is separate from the main house and upstairs, making it very private. Amenities include:

We recently retired and added on to our house so that we would have room enough for our children and grandchildren to stay with us when they visit Hawaii.
Why the Owner Chose Waipio
We have lived in Hawaii since 1983. We were very lucky to find this property for sale when we were house hunting in 1999. It is a unique property with dropaway views into Waipio Valley from an elevation of 900 feet.
The Unique Benefits of this Bed & breakfast
As a surfer, I am able to see whether the waves are good from our lanai. Even after having lived here for nine years, I am regularly transfixed by the view when I am supposed to be working in the yard.
