BEAUTIFUL EAST VAIL HOME PERFECT FOR FAMILIES & FRIENDS.

Welcome to our home in Vail, Colorado! Our home sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on approximately a 1/2 acre of property, nestled up against the White River National Forest boundary. A perennial stream runs through the property for much of the summer.

Relax in our 2800 sq. ft. home, flooded with natural light and views of the forest and surrounding mountains. Walk up the flagstone walkway from the driveway and garage, across the stream to the front door. Here you'll enter the mud room, with two benches and lots of storage to unwind from a great day on the slopes, hiking or biking. From the mud room, open the interior door and walk upstairs to the spacious living, dining, and kitchen areas as well as a powder bathroom and laundry room. Also upstairs is the master suite, with a beautifully appointed en suite bathroom including glass encased shower, jacuzzi tub, double sinks, toilet and bidet room. Master has a king bed.

From the mud room you can also walk downstairs to the lower level to a 2nd family area, wet bar, 2 more bathrooms, 4 additional bedrooms and the private hot tub. 3 of the bedrooms each have queen beds, and the 4th bedroom has a set of bunk beds and a day bed with pullout trundle bed.

High end finishes throughout include radiantly heated floors as well as hot water baseboard heat, Thermador and Sub Zero appliances, concrete counter tops and custom tile. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall... our home is perfect for your Vail vacation to enjoy the outdoors.

Additionally, our home offers a 1 car garage and large driveway with plenty of room for parking 2 additional cars. (There is no parking allowed on any street in East Vail, so driveway space is premium!) However, once in Vail, you will not need to drive as our home is a short walk to the free Town of Vail bus service. If you have members of your group who do not ski, hike or bike, the Vail Racquet Club is a 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive from our home. Here you can indulge in a spa treatment, get in a workout, get a bite to eat at the restaurant, grab a coffee, chai or pastry at the coffee shop, or swim some laps in the year round outdoor heated pool. You can also shop at the club for any active wear or accessories you've forgotten. Adjacent to the club is Bighorn Park, with a wonderful playground for the kids, beaver pond, and large field to challenge your family members or friends to a game of dodge ball or soccer.

Let us share our knowledge and hospitality with you. We are happy to stock our home upon your arrival with groceries or anything else you might need for cost plus a small fee. We can also bring in a private chef to prepare your meals. We'd be happy to show you our favorite ski runs, hiking or biking spots, as well as suggest some of our favorite restaurants. We want you to get the most out of your stay, so please don't hesitate to ask our advice. We do not use a property management company and only rent our home a few times throughout the year.

The Unique Benefits at this House

Our favorite aspect about the house is where it is located. It is so private. It is set so spectacularly against the forest, you'd never know it is a duplex or that you are sharing with anyone. Our neighbors are wonderful as well as everyone in the neighborhood.

A
Location

We are located about 5 miles from the mountain. 10 minute drive, or 20 minute free bus ride.

B
Hiking/Showshoe Trails

Fabulous hiking or showshoeing trails.

C

D
Big Horn Park

Great park with playground and beaver pond you can walk around. Big field to play soccer or toss a ball or frisbee.

E
Vail Racquet Club

For a small fee, you can use the outdoor pool (year round), hot tubs, workout area or enjoy a massage. The Alpine Tavern is a full service restaurant at the club as well as bar area and coffee shop. Short 10 minute walk from the house.

My husband and I met in Vail over 24 years ago. We've lived all over the country including New Jersey, Minnesota and California, but Vail has always been our 2nd home. We love Colorado and have chosen to raise our family here.

Great stay at Vail

Guest: Bud (Sarasota)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this large, well equipped home. located in a quiet neighborhood, we were 10 minutes from Vail Village by car, 20 minutes using the free bus to town. The home had all the amenities we could have wanted. House was large enough to not feel crowded even with seven of us staying there. The owners know the local area well and gave us some great tips on skiing, dining and activities. We had a great vacation and would certainly stay there again.

Gorgeous home, a wonderful stay

This beautiful home was above our expectations. 4 bedrooms downstairs & master upstairs, well appointed, very clean and comfortably accommodated our family of 4 and some extended family. The kitchen was fully loaded and we were able to prepare some wonderful, memorable meals with plenty of room to all sit & dine together. We fell in love with the numerous windows and the lovely views. The short walk to the bus stop was not a big deal and the ride into the village was no trouble. I really liked being close to the Raquet Club and enjoyed using the facilities there. Would definitely recommend this home as we truly enjoyed staying here over the holidays. A wonderful, white Christmas.

This house was just as advertised. Had plenty of private sleeping space and fun community spaceThe rushing stream in front was endless entertainment for our kids. The overall amenities and facilities were fantastic and the owners were quick to respond when we had questions. I highly recommend this if it looks like it will fit your needs, and we would love to go back.

Excellent!

This is an amazing property, an incredible amount of privacy inside & out. Large vaulted windows provide plenty of natural light surrounded by tree cover outside, preventing an exposed feeling. Inside floorplan also provides areas of solitude and stirdy construction eliminates noise created by early risers. Public areas are ample for get togethers and upper & lower level family rooms can provide a break from the kids. The stream running through the grounds brings the mountains to your doorstep and provides just the right amount of white noise to help you relax. Would recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful!

Perfect place to unwind after funfilled days in the Vail valley! Description of the property is accurate, but doesn't compare to how beautiful and relaxing it really is in person. We had 7 adults and 2 children in our group with plenty of room to spare. Beds were all comfortable and each room had huge windows with views of mountains, aspen trees and the stream (wonderful white noise for sleeping!). The owners were very friendly and had plenty of information for anything you may need. Will definitely be back and highly recommend to others.

Just the place!

What a great find! My family and I were looking for a place that would accomodate 12 people to include children for our son's wedding the week after Christmas. After much searching, we lucked out to find this owner managed home. The personal touchs made all the difference from help with finding sitters to making sure that we knew the area and what it had to offer. The house was perfect for a large group. Nicely furnished but kid friendly, it made this special time so enjoyable. We hosted a party the night before the wedding as well as having the "guys" for brunch and getting dressed for the wedding. Both worked great with plenty of space, beautiful views, and a hot tub to relax and take the wedding day jitters away!. There were plenty of linnens, dishes and great cookware.Parking was great with a garage and the free shuttle just a block away.We will certainly consider staying in this home our next time in Vail.

Owner response:Thanks Ellie! So happy you enjoyed our home and it made your destination wedding in Vail so special. I love to give people ideas to make their stay easy and unique since I've been in the Vail Valley for over 25 years. We hope to see you again soon!

Date of Stay: 03/05/10 Review Submitted: 03/05/10

My family and I stayed in this wonderful East Vail home for five nights in February, 2010. We had perfect weather and perfect ski conditions on our trip. Two powder days and two sunny bluebird days (we had to take a day off as well to rest). Our accommodations were just as perfect. The home is amazing. We had a group of eight people, including a 2-year old, and there was more than enough room for everyone to spread out and be comfortable. The views are incredible, and there are so many windows from which to enjoy them from. The hot tub was so relaxing after a hard day of skiing, and star gazing from within it was unbelievable. The kitchen was spacious, contained high-end appliances, and was stocked with everything we needed. We hardly went out to eat, as it was just too much fun to cook in, and eat in the dining room, which has a wall of windows on all three sides with views to die for. My wife and I were fortunate enough to get the master bedroom, and the king size bed was super comfy. The master bath made us feel as if we were in the lap of luxury (you'll LOVE the shower). Also, it was so quiet and peaceful throughout the night, that it was a little difficult to wake up from such a deep sleep. The stop for the free bus that takes you right into to Vail Village is just a short walk, but we discovered that you can ski right from the deck to the bus stop as well, which was super convenient. It was almost like ski-out, but to the bus top instead of to the lift. We also discovered that it's possible to ski in as well, but you better be a good skier with avalanche beacons and safety experience. We settled on just watching these hard core skiers ski by on a regular basis in the late afternoon. There was a garage with space for one vehicle, and plenty of parking for the other two that we brought as well. The only negative I could think of, which really wasn't an issue, is the SubZero refrigerator was a little more difficult to open than most, but it worked out well because it kept our 2-year old out of it. All in all, this is a great place to stay, and we'll definitely be back for future trips.
