This convenient slopeside spot in the beautiful Morning Eagle Lodge, in the heart of the Whitefish Mountain ski village won't disappoint. Here you'll have all the perks of being on the mountain side (no surprise parking lot views!) of this state of the art building while being within easy reach of restaurants, shops and other amenities.

Morning Eagle offers a secure room, at the other end of the hall from this unit, with ski lockers to store your equipment; from here you can literally ski out the door to the lifts, or ski back in for lunch or at the end of the day. Alternatively, there is a door to the great outdoors next to our unit, if you prefer to just drop your skis outside while you come in for a cup of hot chocolate. There is great people watching from the living room window, but privacy is assured if you so desire by simply lowering the wood blinds.

The lowest level of Morning Eagle fronts on Big Mountain Road and boasts a show-stopping lobby, complete with cozy couches and a two story fireplace. Here you are steps away from all the shops and amenities you could desire, including a market, a spa, and a variety of dining options. This level is also where the work-out room is located, in case you need an alternative to the skiing and hiking; your key card gains you passage here.

The second level of the Lodge is where our condo is located, at the end of a quiet hallway. You may take the stairs up or use the elevator if you are coming from the village; if you are coming off the slopes you will already be on room level. Take the elevator up to the 5th floor and you will find yourself on the roof-top terrace, with the professional grill and the steamy hot tub just waiting for you.

MASTER BEDROOM: Our condominium boasts a spacious master bedroom and equally bright and airy master bathroom, due to its sought-after end-unit location. A desk with lamp and telephone located under the window on the slope side is waiting for you to write in your journal or catch up on your laptop. The bed here is a comfy king-sized one; if you desire, it can be set up as two twin beds instead. An end table with good reading lamp is on either side of the bed. A spacious closet is *located in the room and another with shelves in the master bathroom. The master bathroom has two separate sinks, plenty of counter space, and a nice big tub with shower.

SECOND BEDROOM: The second bedroom also has a king-sized bed which can be configured as two twins at your request. An end table with lamp is at either side. A large closet provides plenty of storage for your clothing and suitcases, while across from that is a big picture window providing a prime view of the slopes. The bathroom is just around the corner and is large and beautifully appointed with slate tile floors, two sinks and plenty of counter space.

LIVING AREA: The living area lies between the two bedrooms. Two comfy chairs and a sleeper sofa surround the warm gas fireplace; next to the fireplace is an armoire holding a television with dvd/cd player which can swivel to be convenient to anywhere in the room. There is plenty of light for reading (you can probably tell by now that this is an important feature to us!). The balcony is just beyond the fireplace; two wood chairs provide a great place to watch the snowsports action during ski season or the wildlife during the summer.

    • Handicapped Accessible (may have limitations) : We have had handicapped guests comment on the convenient features of the Morning Eagle condominium, those on the first floor (like ours) in particular. Wide hallways, at grade access to the outdoors through the ramp off the ski locker room, elevator access to the heated parking garage below and the terrace with grill and hot tub above are especially notable. W are told that few if any other places on Whitefish Mountain can offer this level of accessibility.
    • Wheelchair Accessible (may have limitations) : This condominium was thoughtfully constructed with extra-wide doorways and large turn-around areas in the bathrooms. Located just down the hall from the elevators which can easily take you to the garage, the beautiful lodge area with fireplace, and the rooftop terrace for dining and hot-tubbing.
    • Kid Friendly : Wow - where to begin! We have included several sleds for our guests use and children of all ages love to sled on the slopes just off our balcony, while the more sedentary guests can sit on the balcony and watch or film all the fun. The terrain park couldn't be any closer, and again, the balcony provides a great view of those coming down the runs around the Tenderfoot Lift. An ice cream/coffee shop are downstairs in the same building. The lobby area of our building is a great place to play a game on the mezzanine (a collection of games is available) while watching the world pass by or read a book in front of the fireplace

I stayed at this condo in December of 2011. It is an excellent location not far from Kalispell Airport. The full kitchen makes preparing meals convenient and the hot tub is a relaxing way to end the day. Getting on the mountain is as simple as walking outside. This condo is very clean and well maintained. The indoor heated garage makes going out and about hassle free. I will definitely return and would recommend this to anyone who is looking for convenient skiing accommodations in Montana.

Wonderful Condo for Disabled Vet Skier and Family

I am disabled vet with an active lifestyle and do a lot of skiing. I like first floor ski accomodations and this condo works great for me and my family. The ski lockers are on the same floor as the unit and from there it is is a very easy ramp up to Lift # 3 that I can use to access the mountain. I parked my van 20 feet from the elevator in the heated secure garage and the elevator. The Morning Eagle complex offers the best ski condos on Whitefish Mountain and the famous Bierstube is right out the front door.
