Charming Vermont townhouse near Sugarbush & Mad River Glen
Our Battleground townhouse has two bedrooms (king and queen), plus a full-size futon in the living room, providing comfort for vacation parties from two to six people.
We have two full baths, a fully equipped kitchen, a gas fireplace, cable TV, full linen service, a washer and dryer, and all the comforts of home.
We are located in a beautiful, private setting, with a rushing stream and woods behind us, one mile from Mad River Glen and three miles from Sugarbush. We also have hiking and snowshoeing trails that connect our property to the Catamount and Long Trails.
Waitsfield is the centerpiece of the Mad River Valley, a resort and recreation area of quiet and uncommon beauty. Route 100 travels through the town's tasteful center where shops and restaurants now occupy buildings which held mills, meeting houses and private homes in an earlier time. Unquestionably this is one of Vermont's most scenic areas, but there is also lots to do. In Winter, this is paradise for skiers, as Mad River Glen and Sugarbush Ski Areas are right here, just a few short minutes apart. (Mad River Glen is in Waitsfield, and Sugarbush is in Warren, a few miles to the south.) There are also five ski touring centers in the area, offering cross-country skiing.
*Don't miss the Warren Country Store, Sleigh rides at Mountain Valley Farm, and croissants at La Patisserie in Waitsfield. Mad River Flick, the Valley’s only movie theater, is also really fun. It features first-run movies in Dolby and Kintek stereo sound. Beer and wine are available along with an assortment of your favorite movie treats.

Year Purchased: 2004
Charlie Damitz and family. I own the property with my wife Sue. It is managed by us and our children Karl and Ali. We have been skiing here since the kids were little and a few years ago we decided to buy a place to vacation at with our family. We rent the townhouse when we are not using it.
Why the Owner Chose Waitsfield
This is a truly incredible location. This valley is so beautiful. We love to ski at Mad River and Sugarbush, we love to see the leaves changing color in the Fall, we love to swim in the heated mountaintop pool here, in Summer. We also love to frequent all the swimming holes and canoe and kayak down the Mad River with our kids and grandchildren. Waitsfield offers great shopping and eating, and in the Summer we love to go to the Farmer's Market in the middle of town.
The Unique Benefits of this Townhouse
We are so relaxed when we come here to our Battleground townhouse. We love when the snow is falling, waking to a thick blanket of white. We're only a few moments to skiing. We love to walk up our mountain path to swim in our heated mountaintop pool, in Summer.
