This is a getaway holiday.
The original boathouse was built in 1796 (the same year as the White House) and the cottage was built in 1962.
Moorehall Cottage has been modernised in the past year to current standards.
The cottage is on the edge of a four thousand acre lake packed with plenty of brown trout. Directly behind the cottage is mature coniferous forest.
The Mayo region has some of the most spectacular Irish scenery and the cottage is perfectly located to explore the area.
There are many local producers winning national and international food awards. You will find excellent butchers, organic vegetable growers, cheesemakers and some very good restaurants all within a half hour's drive.
