Our building, La Bonne Vie, is located in Palm Beach, Florida. We are "South of Sloan's Curve" in one of the prettiest, best maintained, and friendliest buildings on the Island. We have 24 hour doorman service so the building is very safe and well-staffed. We purchased the unit in 2003 and have been extremely happy with it. The building has many amenities: An excellent fitness center; a delightful swimming pool and pool deck that is situated so close to the ocean that you never have to get sand on your feet to feel like you're enjoying the best ocean atmosphere. The pool deck is recently renovated and the first time I saw it, I thought: The Four Seasons! The Ritz Carlton! It's a huge selling point for the property--the plantings are lovely and well maintained.

Our unit boasts two balconies--one off the master bedroom and one off the living room with ocean views from both. We are within walking distance to shops with easy access to the Intracoastal Waterway paved path right across the street.

Our unit comes with covered parking and a full-sized, IN-UNIT washer and dryer. We renovated our kitchen in 2007/2008 and it has stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and new cabinetry. We have two full baths with a large in-suite master-bath. If you like walking on the beach, there is ample shell-hunting and ocean-front restaurants to the north and south.

Close by: We are within walking distance to the Ritz Carlton (to the south), a two-minute drive to the Four Seasons, and a five minute drive to Worth Avenue. We are a 15 minute drive from Palm Beach Airport (PBI) and a 40 minute drive from Ft. Lauderdale Airport.

Year Purchased: 2003

I co-own Unit 201 in La Bonne Vie with my business partner. We use the condo for both personal use and as an investment (to rent, etc.). My husband, daughter and I love the fact that it is located directly on the ocean. My co-owner loves the ocean-side location, and access to great golf. We both enjoy access to world class dining and shopping. It's quiet and serene when you need it to be and full of action when you want it to be.

Why the Owner Chose Palm Beach

After vacationing in Palm Beach with a friend who owned a home we were enchanted with the history of the island and how uncrowded it is throughout the year. We looked at more than 20 units south of Sloan's Curve and fell in love with our building, La Bonne Vie. The construction is of the highest quality and unlike many of the newer buildings (within the last 20 years) it has nine-foot ceilings and French doors, versus the never-functional sliding glass doors that salt and rust on the beach. We loved how spacious the unit is--1800 square feet and how light-filled it is--abundant windows. Our unit was the very last one we looked at and we immediately knew that we wanted to own it!
