This is a really amazing experience! You arrive, park, and are taken by boat (or you may use your own boat) to your dock on your secluded island oasis 300 feet from the Wild Dunes Harbor Course, yet in a beautiful paradise with kayaks and bicycles for your use. The views are spectacular, and the privacy is unmatched. Our island is teeming with deer, clams, oysters, eagles, osprey and the waters around the dock are full of fish. This is a totally protected and secluded getaway on an island that is half in perpetual conservation easement yet right beside the Isle of Palms. We have people on fishing trips, honeymooners, romantics, naturalists, and families who love this island-within-an- island paradise. Its hard to find another place which will rest the soul like this. There is sitting on the dock on the Intracoastal Waterway and fishing, watching boats go, reading, or just relaxing for hours. There is the nature walk or bicycling down the sandy road. There is reading on the porch in the breeze. There are the many games and books in the house. There is the huge farm kitchen with big pots and a gas grill for your catch. There is the oyster steamer for oysters and clams.
And, in case someone starts to miss the rest of the world, there is the big flat screen TV and dish network for afternoon games, movies at night, and the always present news. There is wireless high speed internet. There are too many XM radio channels to mention. In addition, we can provide for fishing charters, lowcountry boils, oyster roasts, and much more.

This 3-bedroom, 2-bath IntraCoastal Waterway house sleeps eight comfortably and has a wonderful view from all bedrooms, and the entire house. It lies directly on the water, with a dock!
It is across the water from the Wild Dunes Harbor Course, so has tremendous privacy, peacefulness, and wonderful views. It features a fully stocked kitchen, washer-dryer, TV with hundreds of channels and movies, stereo, bikes, kayaks, dock chairs, picnic table, outdoor and indoor dining, and so much more. Front and rear decks with gas grill and plenty of comfy deck furniture.
The upstairs is a master bedroom with beautiful 360 degree views of the water and golf course in front, around to marsh view and forest views.
Vacation Rental Amenities:
Full Kitchen supplies provided, and catering can be arranged. Air conditioning, heating, ceiling fans in all rooms. Sound system, TV, DVD/CD player. Fully equipped kitchen with electric range, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, refrigerator. Washer and dryer and indoor/outdoor shower. Dock Chairs provided. LINENS: Household linens (sheets, towels, wash cloths) ARE provided in the terms of this Agreement.
Activities and Attractions:
Area activities include the beach, boating, fishing, swimming, surfing, kite surfing, windsurfing and kayaking. Jet ski rentals and parasailing are also one block away. Fishing charters, Eco tours and boat rentals are available at the Isle of Palms Marina.
Additionally, two championship golf courses are at Wild Dunes along with an excellent tennis facility. Shopping and dining activities abound. Historic Downtown Charleston is only 25 minutes away.
Note: We tried to use the VRBO calendar but had some confusion with it, especially in trying to communicate when we have a tentative reservation. Booking the house is first-paid, first-booked so please do email us to check availability. We are quick with a response as time is of the essence in securing your reservation and we want to help you make an informed decision in a timely manner. Also, we do sometimes have cancelations and so we keep a backup list on a first-come first-served basis. When we get a cancellation, the first on the list gets first choice.

- In shore and offshore fishing, charters available, minutes to Wild Dunes Yacht harbor. Walk out the back door onto the flats for fly fishing, fish stalking, crabbing, birding, you name it. Chase Fiddler Crabs into their holes, get muddy and then wash off, swim off the dock, turn on the dock music and just relax while you watch the boats go by, or sleep in porch breezes all afternoon. If you are energetic, we have kayaks, bicycles to explore the island, and the everlasting walk always does the body good.

Winter 2011/12 Special Dec-Feb=$3,600 or $1,500 monthly
Spring 2012 .. $1100/wk or $1800 for 2 weeks.

This island is absolutely unmatched anywhere; very relaxed, yet very sophisticated when it needs to be.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Foremost for me, I love the peace and seclusion. Secondarily, it is a wonderful place to be. We have alot of people who want to come here and write or work on a project, as it offers great opportunities for deep thought, meditation, and enlightenment. ** The fishing is EXCELLENT, and I have guides who can help you with that if you'd like. ** Morgan Creek Grill is about 1500 feet away and has amazing sunsets, dinner, dinner boar cruises, harbor cruises, and live music. ** Tidal Wave next door rents jet skis and takes us parasailing, skiiing, and wakeboarding. ** There is a beautiful sandy road which runs the length of the island for running, cycling, walking. ** The back beach on the marsh offers miles of exploration and tons of bait for fishing. ** Half of the island is in Conservation Easement and available for birding, exploring, seeing deer, osprey, and everything else you can imagine on an island.
