Thanks for this, Will. We have to get our rental car back to Vancouver by 3pm, so won't be out later than noon. It's been a real pleasure staying here though - you've got a beautiful and super welcoming home. Thanks again for sharing it with us. Happy new year! SuttonDid you find this review helpful? The house was a great size and value for the price. Furnishings and the renovations done were excellent (loved the rain showerhead in the master bath!). William was very accommodating and very helpful - I would definitely recommend this place. We had such a nice surprise bday party filled with board games, drinks, and good friends :) The bonus: hundreds of movie selections on his computer that can be connected to the TV which is amazing!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

What a wonderful retreat... We did not want to leave. A week in Squamish, spending our days hiking and exploring, even walking hidden trails just across the road here, then having this comfortable place to come home to at the end of every day. Made us thoroughly enjoy our evenings, and choose to eat "home" more often than not. Soak in the awesome tub after a good day's hike. Light a fire, dim the lights, cook up a storm, and kick back in front of another fun movie. Excellent kitchen. Comfortable beds. Drop dead bathrooms! Colors and ambiance are just so warm. Our family love it. Will plan on returning and sending the rest of our family this way. Can fit a big group comfortably, but we were only three and enjoyed the extra space and open feel. Our son in university here in Squamish loved the high tech system and internet connection, too - added bonus - though we tended to head out later than expected each day - between him getting lost on line, to my husband and I kicking back with another cup of espresso on the comfy leather sofas. Working with William, I might ad, is a pleasure. Having our own listings on VRBO, I love working with those who communicate well, are gracious hosts, and speak with honesty and integrity. William was all, and the home he allowed us to stay in here (well worth every penny) was even more than he said it would be. The location is just off the beaten path, but was simple enough to find, and then proved to be a convenient location out of town. A comfortable, quiet, safe neighborhood, I was comfortable walking our dog in early morning and late at night. In a nutshell, this place is great and I highly recommend this for a group that would enjoy the extra space, peaceful environment, and the chance to stay near Squamish without being in town..Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

11 of us rented this house for New Years holidays. It exceeded our expectations, hands down. The house was quite large and 11 of us were able to comfortably stay there. The kitchen had everything needed to cook a nice meal for 11 people. There is a BBQ which was super convenient! Dealing with William was so nice and smooth, which made the entire transaction from booking the house, paying the deposit and checking out extremely easy!! He was kind enough to let us check out later in the day as noone would occupy the house until later that evening. This was super convenient for us, as some people from our group went skiing up in Whistler and got the whole day of skiing +they were able to come back and pack up without rushing too much!! Havig said that, Whistler is only 40 min away from the house, which adds a great value for skiiers and snowboarders and others wanting to visit Whistler. It is a short drive form Vancouver (about 40min to an hour depending where you are coming from). We definitely will consider renting this house again for mini-vacations with our friends and family! Thanks very much William!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

The house was fairly easy to find and in a great location - close to all amenities. Sitting on the comfortable couches in front of a roaring fire in the wood stove was lovely. The owner was very quick to respond to any questions / issues. We recommend The Shady Tree pub for some amazing chicken wings!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What perfect accomodation for 2 families with children! The house was well equipped and comfortable... beautiful open living room and kitchen - perfect for socializing. Great neighborhood with access to miles of trails and views of the rocky craigs. The owner was super accomodating and responsive, and everything was accurate per the listing and photographs. I would definitely stay here again!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family stayed in this home for a week before and after my wedding. It was so nice to have everyone together in such a nice setting. There was plenty of room for all. The home was really warm and cozy, relaxing. The location was also great for those wanting to do a day trip to Whistler or Vancouver. At one point, my mother had a question for Will and he responded to her text within minutes. Also we got our damage deposit asap. I highly recommend this home. Dont stay in a hotel, stay here and feel at home!!! Very happy, no regrets!!! m&mRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, sightseeing.

A group of us came to Squamish to climb, mountain bike, kiteboard, hike, etc and this was just an ideal place for us to stay. The place is located in a very quiet neighborhood with great views of the Chief. Some great climbing crags are only a few minutes walk from the house and there is great mountain biking, kiteboarding, hiking, kayaking, etc in the area. The house is very nice and clean, tastefully decorated and well supplied and can accommodate groups of just about any type (couples, families, singles, etc). Our group was pretty disorganized with people coming and going almost every day but the owner was extremely flexible, accommodating and helpful -- even when one of our guests decided to bring their small dog at the last minute. In summary, we had a great experience with the house and the owner. We would definitely come back!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This home was just perfect for our large group of 10. It was minutes away from the boulderfields and the quaint downtown of Squamish. It was so comfortable and inviting. The kitchen was very large with plenty of counter space to prepare meals. The living area had lots of room for us all to just chill and relax. Great neighborhood! I loved stepping out the front door, taking a run and admiring the beautiful views. I would definitely recommend this place! Will, the property owner, was the easiest and most accommodating guy to work with. He wanted to make sure we were comfortable and succeeded.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a wonderful time we had in this beautiful house. Although the house is still being worked on downstairs, it is very tastefully decorated. It has true west coast atmosphere, and is spacious and relaxing. The host is just the most accommodating and flexible person I have met so far. There is a very friendly neighbour dog who visits and loves attention (got in a lot of our photos). The neighbours are friendly and the neighbourhood itself is quaint. The short walk through the trail to reach the pub sends you back to nature (watch out for mosquitoes though). Probably the only think missing is a hot tub. It is not a far drive to town for supplies nor is it far to Whistler if needed. Very nice location. I had a truly great time even if there was a bear across the street one night but the neighbours warned us! I would defintely come back. Thanks again!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Glad you ladies all had such a great weekend.

Will is a great host and a really nice guy. The home was clean, contemporary, and easily accessible. Very comfortable beds, well appointed kitchen for three guys cooking at the grill. We climbed "the Chief", skied at Whistler, and hiked Paradise valley northwest of Squamish. Great organic restaurant in Squamish. I would highly recommend.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks Mark. Great to meet you all. See you next time. Will

The warm, inviting, cultural, soothing environment of this home made my stay as comfortable as staying with a kindred spirit, a fellow traveller or close friend with shared values. The energy, layout and decor of this home was the perfect container for our relatively large group to come together, create nourrishing meals, collaborate shared ideas and still have enough personal space for private thoughts and meditations. The neighborhood is nestled in the majestic beauty of Squamish with easily touched pockets of nature within several steps of the home. It was just the right place for our group and I feel grateful that this was our 'home' for the time we shared together and would recommend it to anyone who wants to feel warm and comfortable while travelling.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.
Owner response: Thanks so much for the kind and well written review. I have put a lot of work into making this house a home and hearing your words makes me feel like I accomplished what I set out to do. I am so glad you and your group enjoyed the space for your retreat. And thanks so much for leaving the home in such pristine condition. All the best to you and your crew. May the 'FORCE' be with you! See you soon! William

the owner was a pleasure to work with. having lived in the area for years, he happily answered our questions and gave great advice. the home itself is beautiful and, with a warm fire-place, large, spacious rooms, was well-suited to the surrounding mountains. we stayed a few nights after frolicking in whistler, it was a welcome respite for relaxing and catching up ... would def recommend this for groups visiting the squamish area.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, tourists without a car, pet owners, sightseeing.

Beautiful house in Squamish neighborhood. Owner was very easy to work with and accommodating. We split our time between Vancouver and Whistler, Squamish was conveniently located and we saved a ton on renting properties in either of those places. House was well appointed and tastefully decorated, fireplace was the best part of the house. We'll definitely be back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

What a great get-away! My husband and I took our two boys (ages 13 and 12) to Canada and spent the last part of our trip at William's place. We found the location to be ideal for us, since Whistler was so close and we had several day trips planned in that area. The house was very comfortable and came equipped with everything we needed during our stay. Willliam was an amazing host even before we left for the trip. Because we had never traveled to Canada before, he gave us some great ideas to keep the boys busy, and was most helpful in getting us information about the local 'Hot Spots'. When you stay here, you are very close to The Spit, which is worth the drive to watch the locals wind surf. We would absolutely return to this property should we travel to the Squamish area again. Thanks William for everything!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I am very pleased that I choose this place after searching for the perfect place to stay during our visit to the North West. William was very helpful and accommodating and not to mention that he made us feel like home. The house is located in a very quite residential area with the view of the Big Chief and Whistler on your right side. We arrived late at night so we can't really see anything at first. We got in to the house and was very pleased with the size of the house. I like the fact that it's open and its very spacious. There were food on the refrigerator and William text me to help my self with anything I want. I really appreciate that. One thing I need to mention is the standing shower in the master bed room is superb - Both me and my wife felt like we were in a spa. It's minimalist and warm !! When we woke up the next day - all I can say was WOW !!! You got the sun, breeze and snow on top of the mountain right from your door step. We went driving up to Whistler and Vancouver during our trip - and the Sea to Sky Highway was one of the high lite of our trip. There so many things to do around the property. Fresh Water Lake, Waterfalls, Peak to Peak (Whistler) and other outdoor sport. We love this place so much and we will make this our annual trip. Thank You William for making us feel like home and sharing Squamish with us. I would probably stay in Vancouver and not venture out to your lovely town and for sure we will visit you againRecommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
