We were a group of 8, with children included, and had more friends staying on a catamaran by the house. We all had a great time. The house is big and very comfortable for everyone. We loved the different patios and used the bbq almost every night. We saw starfish all kinds of different fish just there by the dock and went several times with the kayaks to explore around. The beaches on the island are just breathtaking and people are very friendly. We would definitely return to Villa Pelicano.

We are a family of 12 and we found Villa Pelicano in VRBO. We rented the property for 2 nights at the end of january 2012. The house is just Amazing!! I really liked that they have a lot of vegetation around, beautiful palm trees, native trees and flowers. But the most relaxing part is the dock! Sit on the dock and drink a nice cup of coffe in the morning looking the Bay or a great glass of wine to see the sunset! Was like a Dream!! We travel with 2 kids and they really enjoyed feeding the fish in the dock. There's lots of them from small to huge ones!! My favorite part was the Kitchen outside, a lot of space to set up a bar, make your breakfast with a wonderful view to the Bay and play Dominos!! We spend most of the time in that terrace, Loved It!! We set up the transportation with "Natanael" to take us to Flamenco Beach and the Town, He was Great!! Definetely will come back to Villa Pelicano! Simply the Best in Culebra Island!!

Imagine rolling up to a beautiful Villa with outdoor terraces filled up with hammocks & fans, go inside to an amazing open floor plan with plenty of room for everyone, go back outside to another kitchen area with umbrella covered tables…Relax. At this point you're only a few steps away from the dock and a paddle in a kayak. Or just grab a chair and enjoy the sunset. That's the reality of Villa Pelicano. Every minute is pure vacation. Loved it!

Plenty of space for a large group, appointed with two fully equipped kitchens, and what could be finer than being on the Oceanfront at Fulladoza, enjoying the sunrise and sunset at the Villa’s dock facilities....Perfect....

We visited Villa Pelicano for an 80th birthday celebration. There were 16 of us, ages 11 to 80, and we stayed 7 nights--NOT long enough :-) The Villa was spacious enough for all 16 of us, had absolutely everything we could ever need, was very clean, beautiful and well maintained. There was plenty of room in the kitchen for several for us to work together and with two large refrigerators, plenty of room for food and drink. The outside kitchen was wonderful, plenty of seating for outside dining, and the hammocks so inviting after a good meal. The kayaks and private dock provided hours of entertainment right at the Villa. It was a vacation in and of itself. The nearby beaches and snorkeling were well worth the visit, so beautiful!!!. Alex, the owner, was great!!! He helped us get everything set from ferry info, to car rental, to tourist info etc. He returned my phone calls and emails very quickly and was always so polite and helpful. He even custom built a wooden step with railing off the dock so my 80 year old mom could get in and out of the water. Thanks Alex!! I would highly recommend Villa Pelicano to anyone wanting an island get away. We hope to return again some day very soon.

My family rented the entire complex, seventeen of us, and we enjoyed it immensely. The house is beautiful and is very well maintained and equipped. The house is divided on two stories. The upstairs has a large complete kitchen, living/dinning room, 2 bathrooms,3 bedrooms and one smaller one that fit a set of bunk-beds plus a twin. The downstairs has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and a laundry room. The outdoor kitchen, completely stocked, serves as the downstairs kitchen. The children (and adults too), used the kayaks several times a day. Our group ages ranged from 5 to 67 and we all truly enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend it! Thank you, Alex!

Spectacular view! Comfortable rooms. Completely equipped. Toddlers happy, grandparents had fun also. We will come back in August! Everyone on FB is asking about the house seen in the pictures. There is a special "rinconsito" for everyone in the house.

Loved Culebra, was excited and ready for adventure. I was double paying as I had rented property for a week in PR. The setting was tranquil. Brought plenty of great food but we had an empty gas tank with raw shrimp and filet mignon unable to cook. $70 later hired car, got charcoal and was able to BBQ. Ate at midnight!! Kayak was loaned to a neighbor without our knowledge, so panic set in an more vacation time out retrieving property left in our care. Promised a make up dinner and drinks and it never happened. Check utilities before they leave, the only close Resturant was closed. More stressed than rested. Make sure you have transportation, poor phone reception so plan ahead.
Owner response:Greetings and thanks dearly for your review, we strive on our customer’s reviews to provide future travelers with the best accommodations and service on the Island. I may add we highly recommend spending more time on Culebra Island rather than double paying for an additional vacation home on the main Island. Would like to point out local restaurants have a set closing time in the evenings, usually 10pm-11pm. We have aproximately 7 cafes & rest. nearby to our location, this listings with corresponding phone numbers conveniently provided for on our local maps at the Villa, also provided for by the local car rental companies whom you were able to call from our Villa to arrange for your jeep rental. The restaurants closing times run aprox. three to four hours over the car rental companies operating hours and our local grocery stores operating hours where you purchased your charcoal. As for our commercial grade ss gas propane stove, if left wide open w/out being ignited, it may run out, we are glad you were able to also place this call to us so we were able to replace it first thing early morning next day to your arrival. We look forward to your next visit and apologize for the kayak issue, it was early morning and did not seem fair to wake you up, it was lended to our dear next door neighbor which had an emergency and needed it for 15 minutes or so. To all our visitors: Culebra Island, also known throughout the World as The Spanish Virgin Island, 20 sq.miles, 3,000 habitants, virtually no criminality...Once again, we thank you for posting your review and feel truly sorry for the bad poor cel reception you experienced at times during your visit. Kind regards, Villa Pelicano Waterfront

Six of us stayed in the second floor of this beautiful home for four nights. It is a great location for relaxing about a mile from Dewey. We loved having the kayaks there to use at our leisure and the hammocks and patio were so nice for just reading and playing cards. It is a perfect place for three couples to spend some time. We ate all of our meals at the house except two dinners out. We used taxis to get around and really enjoyed all of our drivers. Culebra is a very friendly island and we would love to go again soon.

Villa Pelicano is absolutely amazing, it is everything plus more, from the outdoor kitchen, the many terraces, to the use of kayaks. Our family enjoyed every minute during our stay there. Alex is very helpful and accomodating for any and all of your needs. The view is beyond words and will forever be etched in my memory. Villa Pelicano offers families the space to spread out, yet a coziness that is charming and inviting. We have traveled many places, but this is by far our favorite.

Our family and friends have stayed for the last three years at this amazing Villa, the space provided inside the house and throughout their exterior terraces with hammocks everywhere is simply unprecedented. They have two kitchens fully equipped, sunrise & sunsets on the outdoor terraces by the water, priceless!! We use the kayaks a lot to all surroundings to the house which are quite unique and full of wild-life and marine species, they are free to use, a great add-on value alltogether. This is our Home Away from Home with all we can possibly need, ultra clean, comfortable, excellent price and the best location right on the water. They even have dock facilities with a pool ladder, we all really enjoyed feeding the fish while snorkeling right at the Villa’s footsteps. The sad part of our visits to Villa Pelicano is when is time to go as time seems to stop once you reach the Island and spend your first 24 hours, we recommend to everyone having the time to spend to plan staying for not less than 3 days to a full week on this One of a Kind Waterfront Villa..

We brought a large family to Villa Pelicano to celebrate the holidays early this year. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the house lived up to the expectations we had after seeing the pictures on the website. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Will definitely stay here again soon.

My wife and I celebrated our daughter "Quinceanero" in Culebra. All she wanted was to celebrate her birthday in a special beautiful place in the Island she loves. She found Villa Pelicano. Great place to stay, clean, spacious, great neighbors, and very quiet. Special thanks to Alex (Management Team) for making sure our stay was pleasant. 100% satisfied. We can't wait to go back!

The terraces has excellent view and are great for family gathering. One is fully equipped with a kitchen, excellent for a BBQ. The house is so beautiful, comfortable and very spacious. We where a group of 15 and we had space for everyone. The owner is very nice and helps us with everything we need. We arrive early and he allowed to hang around while the Villa is being prepared and cleaned. ..It has everything. Love the hammocks, We stay at Culebra for 5 days, we stay in the villa the first 3 days there, without the necessity of going out. The drivers that took us to the villa later on we call him and he bring us anything we need including shooping, Prepare to breathtaking view sitting in front of the bay in anytime. Love the place!

The villa is spectacular! Accommodations have absolutely all you need as if you were in your own home. It is very clean and very cozy. Views from terraces are excellent and the ambience in them is so perfect that you can relax in them watching the stars or have a party with many friends. Docking facilities are very good. We docked our 30 footer and it was very confortable to board and load our boat. We were a party of 15 and everyone was bedazzled with the villa. Simply gorgeous! We would definitely stay here again if available for our next visit to Culebra.

Excellent place for the perfect vacation in Culebra. I have been visiting Culebra for the last 25 years. Since I discovered Villa Pelicano 3 years ago, I have been there 7 times. I do not picture a family vacation in Culebra in any other place. The docking facilities are perfect for almost any king of boat. The place has all the water amenities (kayaks, sunfish, etc). The terraces are great for family gathering. One is fully equipped with a kitchen and we always cook outside. You have access to the grill for the perfect BBQ under the stars. Nice and quiet environment, breeze, the place to end a full beach day to unwind and relax. The owner is flexible to acomodate for all the different arriving arrangements. We normally arrive early and we are allowed to hang around while the Villa is being prepared and cleaned. No inconvenients. Do not miss it.

We have been to Villa Pelicano 3 times already and we are returning in January. Very nice house with excellent acommodations and an outdoor terrace with a kitchen and a breathtaking view. Having a BBQ, drinks with family and friends in this terrace....priceless!! There are several kayaks available which is a plus if you take your kids. Overall, the best place to relax and forget about civilization.
