We found the house to be just what we wanted. The bedrooms were comfortable for 2 couples and we dined outside many nights. The view of the Dingle peninsula is wonderful and the location fit our schedule. It is just off The Ring Of Kerry and a half hour from Killarney. The golf courses in Killarney, Waterville and Tralee are all within an hours drive. John, the owner, was very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. It's a place we'd look forward to going back to !!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thank you Ed for your nice review and I am delighted you and your wife and friends enjoyed the facilities at the house and enjoyed dining outside on the deck and using the barbecure and watching the the sunset on Dingle bay.The convience to all the golf courses in Dooks, Killarney, Waterville and Tralee which are all within an hours drive of the house do make it a good location . Best regards John

Beautiful, comfortable and spacious. The owner got us settled in and was helpful. The pictures are real....the view is better than shown. The tumultuous Irish sky reveals a unique light show and you have the best seats in the house.....Dingle Bay in the fore, the peninsula as the background....stunning every minute! The deck is huge and the view commands the renter's attention. A three minute walk to the miles long sandy, safe beach awaits and a cozy friendly pub is half way(in case you can't make it without a Guiness!). Amenities are more than adequate, clean and convenient. The kitchen is well supplied. Nearby Dooks golf club(awesome track!), hills to hike, Ring of Kerry, Killarney, Dingle peninsula, fishing, National Park. Probably 10 great courses within an hour. Tralee and Dingle GC are 90 minutes. This was a good value for two fathers and their 6 sons. You'd appreciate having your own car or driver as other amenities are about a mile away.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, people with disabilities, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: I am very happy you found everything in the house to your satisfaction and you enjoyed the views from the deck and the huge choice of Golf clubs for your daily excursions with the boys and in the evening able to enjoy a Guinness down at the beach. Regards John

Owner response: Thank you Matt for your wonderfull review and I am very happy you were pleased with your stay at Rossbeigh Beach House and everything was as you expected at the property. It was nice that you and your boys and friends were able to play so many golf courses on your daily outings to Tralee, Ballybunion , Waterville, Dooks and also got in some sight seeing on the Ring of Kerry and Killarney National Park and Muckross House and the fact you had a mini van and driver at your disposal was really a great idea. For our 40th anniversary, my husband and rented this house for us, our children and grandchildren. the house and setting were perfect for us. John was so helpful and accomodating. The scenery from the deck overlooking the beach is breathtaking. It is an easy walk down to the beach or even into Glenbeigh. The more adventurous of us hiked the mountain directly behind the house. The house is exactly as advertized- no surprises. We had a wonderful vacation!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Susan for your revirew and I am delighted you enjoyed your stay at the house with your family and grand children for you very special occasion and every thing was as expected in the house. Regards John.

This holiday home exceeded our expectations with regard to location and the amenities and comfort of the house itself. The home is spacious and welcoming, and a very short stroll to a beautiful beach. Our family enjoyed grilling out, walking the beach and picking sea shells, and relaxing in front of the fire in the evenings. The location was very convenient for our day trips to Muckross House and Torq Falls near Killarney, Blarney Castle, and a seaside visit to Kinsale. Thank you for a lovely time, and your hospitality. We hope we have an opportunity to come back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Sott & Deb for your review and delighted you and your family enjoyed your stay at our house at Rossbeigh beach and you got to do all your day trips around Kerry and Cork and the newly installed Wi-fi was of benifit in planning your day trips and keeping in contact with the folks back in the USA. Regards John

Our family visited Ireland from South Carolina and stayed at Glenbeigh Holiday House the beginning of June. Jon King the owner is very nice and helpful, answering all of our questions each time we called him. The house is very well maintained with plenty of space for a family of six and with breathtaking views of the sea and mountains from most of the windows and the large deck.We enjoyed cooking on the new hob or grill on the deck several times. There is a clothes washer but no clothesdryer and it can be damp with light rain at least once a day.It is a short walk down to a very nice wide sandy beach. The beach area has a take away restaurant and playground for children. The town of Glenbeigh itself is small and pretty. It has a few pubs and restaurants on the main street. We did not eat in any of them instead we cooked at home or were visiting a different town. We bought our groceries at Londis Grocery store which is attached to a gas station and next to the post office. They have very good whipped soft ice cream cones. We took several trips all within a 1 1/2 hr or less drive from the house Dingle Peninsula is beautiful be sure to see the stained glass windows in St Mary's Church if you go there. Killarney was fun with alot of nice shops. For a lively time go to Killarney Grand at night for the Irish set dancing. It is very boisterous and fun! Kinsale is quaint with a picturesque harbor and nice shops. Of course we went to Blarney Castle and kissed the Blarney Stone. The grounds there are very pretty. We had a fun time and would enjoy coming back We would definitely recommend the Glenbeigh house to others.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Holly & Richard and family for your kind comments and I am delighted you had an enjoyable stay at our house at Rossbeigh Beach and you got to visit Dingle and Blarney and Killarney and Kinsale on you day trips . We had just installed the outside Oven/ Barbecue a couple of days before you arrived so you were the first to try it out and I hope you enjoyed dining outside and watching the sun set on Dingle bay and the Blasket Island. We sourced it in France and positioned it on the front deck looking down on the beach, we hope it will add to further enjoyment and pleasure for our future and returning guests on those long summer evenings with aroma of the barbecued food and the smell of the sea .

Our family stayed at this fantastic home April 2010. The home is set on a hill which overlooks the water, and the Dingle Peninsula is across the water. It is a quiet area, and the views are breathtaking. John was a great host, he even called us during the week to make sure that all was well. The home was comfortable for our family of 5 and was very clean and well maintained. It has 2 downstairs bedrooms, 2 upstairs bedrooms, a great kitchen, and a family room that invites you to sit and relax. The master bedroom, downstairs, has a great view. We have absolutely nothing critical to say about this home, and were very sad to leave. We highly recommend this property for your holiday.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.
Owner response: Thank you Mike & Pam & family for your review and recommendation, I am delighted you had an enjoyable stay in our house and everything worked well for you and the weather was excellent for you stay.

The house was exactly as pictured. The property was in excellent condition and the owner was friendly and attentive, without being intusive. I would only recommend this property to someone who wasn't planning a trip at the same time that I am as I would love to rent the property again. Since we were in the area visiting family we didn't do a lot of sightseeing, but I highly recommend the Gap of Dunloe, and, of course the Ring of Kerry. Torq Waterfalls is also a beautiful sight and a good hike. My only disappointment was that while there was a clothes washer, there was no dryer. There is a clothes rack for outside drying, but this was not a viable option for a winter trip. THE VIEW OF THE BEACH AND THE SOUND OF THE WAVES WAS EXTREMELY INVITING AND CALMING!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Rosie for yor kind comments and delighted your visit to your Irish cousins went well and you enjoyed your stay at the house and got to visit some of the local sights on day trips. I am investigating to see where we could locate a stand a lone dryer preferably in the kitchen but as you know it is pretty well stocked with all the other applicances, but if not there we will find some other location in the house and thank for mentioning it and we certanily try to sort this out. Regards to the rest of your family and look forward to your return visit some time in the future. John
