This unit is gorgeous, recently updated. The photos are very accurate, although they don't quite do the condo justice in terms of how much room you have, and how light and bright the unit is. The beds were super comfortable, lots of attention to detail. So pretty, clean and well maintained! Andree was very helpful in answering all our questions before our stay & available for a question while we were there. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone, and we can't wait to come back!

We found the condo to be exactly as advertised. The unit is very well euipped. The owners were kind and very prompt to answer any questions or to deal with any concerns. The beds were very comfortable and this was for us a major concern as we had issues in the past with others rentals. The staff at Mainsail were always helpful. There were various organized events that made our stay very enjoyable. We would recommend this property to our friends and relatives.

Nov. 1 - December 1, 2011 My family thoroughly enjoyed our extended stay at your beautiful condo. It not only met, but EXCEEDED my expectations. It has everything needed for an incredible stay - from the beach toys, chairs, beach cart and ice chest to the wonderful beds and linens, flat screen TV's, koozies, cups, keyless/keypad entry, and chocolates by the bed. Due to the fact that we are currently looking for a vacation home here in the Destin area, we've looked at lots of condos and townhouses - many in need of upgrades and renovations. Thus, I can soooo appreciate the renovations you have done to your unit. They are all perfect, down to just the right amount of "beach" touches, without being overdone. We have looked at some of the units for sale here at Mainsail and as stated, have a real appreciation of your upgrades. Then, there is the personal attention afforded by Andree' from the initial contact. From the time I found this unit online and sent the first email, Andree' has been right there with emails and phone calls, to follow up and answer questions, a personal touch seldom seen these days, and very much appreciated. We had an awesome Thanksgiving here, building sandcastles and just lounging on the beach. And we are "thankful" for your incredible "home" feeling condo. We hope to return, and will definitely recommend your condo! P.S. Andree' refunded my deposit very quickly upon our return home.

I've stayed at Mainsail many times, but this unit by far has the most comfortable beds - and two Kings at that! Usually the 2nd bedroom is set up for children, but not here. Two couples can enjoy the comfort equally, and that's really important to us. The condo is lovely, has a good view of the beach and is conveniently located to the elevator.The owner made the rental process quick and easy, provided us with a $50 gas gift card and promptly refund our security deposit. In short, she's a joy to do business with. Our stay was during the first week of November. The weather was cooler than expected and seasonal maintenance on the complex did make for some noisy days, but we didn't mind too much since with that came an unexpected surprise; for two days we actually witnessed several hundred Monarch butterfly stragglers on their migration across the Gulf. What an unbelievable sight that we would have missed had we not been there when we were. I don't know if we'll ever experience the Monarch butterfly migration again, but I do know we'll be returning to this condo!

From the beginning Andree gave exemplary service. If I asked about it she had an answer. I even asked about a beachcam to watch the weather and she sent the link. This lady knows bout southern hospitality! Dealing with her was just a pleasure. The photos don't do it justice...Its so NICE! There were 4 adults and one child staying here. More than enough room for everyone to spread out and have space. The beds were comfortable with soft sheets, fluffy towels in the bath, and toiletries just in case! The furniture was comfy and the condo was very clean, pretty and restful. The kitchen was a dream with everything from Wolfgang Puck knives, grilling tools, any dish or pot you could dream of needing and any other appliance you could use even a crock pot! The kitchen even had spices, and coffee and cream... We really loved that it had a ice machine so we could load up the cooler, umbrellas and beach chairs on a cart (which were already there ) and head out. Not to mention pretty bar glasses, the COOLEST easy to use wine bottle opener and even a shaker for martinis. While we were there one of the beach chairs broke and I emailed her just to let her know and within an hour someone brought us a brand new one. She is just a phone call away if you have a question. She covers every detail from the start by sending you countdown postcards and a booklet with all your info. Even right down to a list of close by stores and places to eat, and how to find the condo once you get in the parking lot. We walked in and even found chocolates and two little goody bags for our birthdays. You do have to bring your own beach towels which if your flying is inconvenient, they take up allot of room. And if you want the wooden chaise with the umbrella on the beach from the property there is a extra charge but its not bad... You can rent paddle boards and kayaks. there are some good places to eat I'd reccomend lunch its not so crowded. Drive down 30A thru blue mountain beach, greyton beach, to seaside its so pretty and lots to look at and do. We are looking forward to making a trip to Florida our family tradition and hope we can stay there again!

This was our first family vacation with our two young daughters and we loved this condo. Everything was perfect from the pack-n-play and hi-chair to the short distance to the beach. The owners were excellent to work with and made us feel like long-time friends. We have already recommended this unit to friends and discussed booking again for next year. It was a joy to work with Andree’ and Mike who were extremely timely in handling arrangements, providing useful information, and refunding our deposit upon completion of our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay at Mainsail. The condo unit was beautifully decorated and updated and very spacious. The two large bedrooms were equipped with very comfortable king beds with quality linens and large dressers. The full size updated kitchen appliances and washer and dryer were quite useful. Also enjoyed using the spacious living room and dining area. Large wide screen TVs and the iPod player were nice compliments. It was honestly like living in a quite nice home away from home. The patio had a great view overlooking pool and also provided a nice view of the beach and ocean while having morning coffee or afternoon drinks. Other friends and relatives who stopped by during our stay commented on how they really loved our condo … (as did we). We used the complimentary beach cart, umbrella, and other accessories to maximum advantage. Enjoyed the beautiful white sandy beach as well as the pool and Jacuzzi. Even used the outdoor barbeque grill which was very close. Grocery shopping was only a block away. We definitely would stay here again when we come back to Destin area on a future vacation. It’s the best!

The condo here at Mainsail was a perfect choice to rent while vacationing in Destin. The owner's do a fantastic job on making it easier on the traveler, fully equipped with a necessities for a beach vacation. The condo was very clean and neat. The condo is conveniently located right across from the Silver Shells outlet mall and really close to the Baytowne Wharf area. Lots of great restaurants so close if you are not up to cooking!!! Definitely an A+++++++++++++ Would definitely rent from them again!!!

Our family stay in May 2011 was excellent...from the booking process to the day of check out. The accomodations are updated with new kitchen appliances (with all the little things that you would expect at home) to the new bathroom fixtures and flooring. The view from the living room and master bedroom are impressive...you see the pool resort area and the gulf beach. We recommend this condo to all those looking to make beach vacation memories. This is a Destin Area little secret spot.

We rented the above property for one week, over the Easter/Spring Break holiday. The accomodations are excellent! Seven of us stayed there, and we were all very comfortable. The appliances are new, the kitchen well furnished with utensils of top quality. The living area has very comfortable seating, with an excellent sound system...and the balcony view is sensational! The balcony overlooks the pool, and to the right is an excellent view of the beach and ocean! We slept very very well in the comfortable King Beds furnished with quality linens. We highly recommend this property. We look forward to our return. The owners are VERY nice, and want your stay to be perfect, which ours was. The owners go out of their way to ensure a Quality Vacation. We now consider them Family!

I loved this condo!!! It was exactly like the picture that was shown. It felt like you were in a friends home with extra touches, from the comfortable beds to the chocolates left at the bedside when you arrive. Something that I really appricated was all the little things that you normally have to buy was already there, for example, spices to cook with, cleaning supplies, soap powder for laundry, detergent for dishes and soap in the bathroom. It also had a great view of the beach and pool. Another great thing is the grocery was in walking distance and the outlet mall was across the main street. There was something for everybody, from just sitting on the beach to relax to shopping till we dropped we had a great time. I can not wait till we go again!!!

Exceptional Mainsail Condo

We have stayed at Mainsail and Majestic Sun in the Miramar Beach/Destin area a couple of times before. Andree' and Mike were most accommodating, friendly, and courteous. Our travel went better than anticipated, and they allowed us in the condo, late in the night the day before we were supposed to check-in, NO CHARGE! I don't believe that renters like that are typical, these folks are exceptional to work with, hands down. For me, knowing that you are working with great, understanding people like Mike and Andree' makes it a no-brainer to return. This condo could sell itself! The two king beds makes it wonderful for couples vacationing together. It is very rare to find a two king bedroom condo, great to finally have one that is available, updated, comfortable, and exactly as is appears on VRBO! I can say that the bed in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable, as that was my bedroom. The walk-in shower was amazing! Having the wet bar was a great amenity, with the extra ice-maker. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to getaway and relax on the beach. Also don't forget to enjoy an Irish Wake at McGuires!!!!!! Thanks again Mike and Andree'!!

Dear Andree and Mike, From the moment we entered your lovely condo, we knew this would be an unforgettable weekend. Gleaming granite counter tops, king sized beds with heavenly linens, immaculate and spotless furnishings and a view of the beach and pool that was breathtaking. We felt like we were in someone's beautiful HOME; not just a rental condo. Not even summer rain could dampen our spirits; relaxing in such beautiful surroundings is hardly a punishment!! Thank you for the wonderful "welcome goodies" and the brochures were SO helpful in making alternate plans for entertainment during the uncooperative weather! We can hardly imagine vacationing anywhere else, now that we truly have been spoiled ! Thank you for being so accommodating with EVERY detail to suit our family needs. Everyone was so pleased and comfortable and it was great, not having to "flip a coin" to determine who gets the king size bed, as in other vacations in the past! I must tell you, we felt guilty when we spoke to another family who was renting a same sized unit as yours, although very outdated and they were paying almost the same price as we were. And without all the "extras" that you so thoughtfully include. By the way, this was the first time I actually ENJOYED cooking while on vacation! RARELY do I find a rental unit that has BETTER cooking utensils, pots, pans, KNIVES than in my own home! What a wonderful weekend! This Mainsal Condo GREAT

This was our second stay for the summer of 2010. Both stays were for eight nights. This condo is truly a great unit and well appointed. Big screen TVS in every room, an icemaker that saves money, beach chairs and an umbrella if you need them, full size washer and dryer, a coded door lock that doesn't require a key, and wifi internet that's a snap to set up. Mainsail is located in an ideal area of Destin. There is no highway to cross to get to the beach and the outlets are nearby. If golf is your thing, courses are plentiful. We got to meet the owners of the condo on our second stay and they are super people. I think they really care about the quality of their condo and your stay. If you're are a rowdy bunch please stay away because I plan on staying there again.

I decided to spend my 40th birthday on the beach in Destin and it could not have been more perfect. We have been going to the beach every year for about 20 years and this condo was the nicest most comfortable. The location was incredible, we could walk to the grocery store, outlets and surf shop. Whenever I tell anyone about the condo, I tell them the beds, sheets and blankets were so cozy. Being able to see the beach sitting on the sofa in the living room was an added plus for my parents who did not care to spend too much time at the beach. When it rained one afternoon, my three children and I enjoyed playing the games that were provided by the owners. In addition to the games, the owners provided chairs, an ice chest and a beach cart. How awesome is that?! Speaking of the owners, they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best it could be. Thanks for a great vacation.

What a perfect place to stay while enjoying Destin. This property was spacious, clean, and extremely accommodating. Next time our family heads back to Destin the decision where to stay is already made - Mainsail. The owners stay on top of everything to ensure you maximize on all Destin has to offer. All the appliances and furniture are modern and in great condition. The only problem I encountered was not being able to bring the master bed back to Houston. I slept like a baby the whole time there. I would recommend the Mainsail to anyone, without thinking twice. You won't go wrong staying here when visiting Destin!!!

Some dear friends and I were fortunate to be able to slip away for a last minute, well-needed mini vacation. The condo owners were fabulous to work with on this getaway and after our arrival, it became very clear they are first class owners with a first class condo. I have stayed at various hotels and condos on the Florida Gulf Coast area and while most were "suitable", this was like home away from home. There were so many nice touches - they seem to think of everything! It was a beautfiul unit, with a beautiful view and I hope to get back there again soon!

The condo is easily accessible, i.e. by the elevator. It is decorated very attractively and modern yet is comfortable and homey. The owners thought of everything such as providing ice chest and beach chairs for the beach. The beds were comfortable and my family of six slept soundly each night. The property was clean and we were given a booklet of info on all the amenities (such as internet access). I look forward to renting the condo again in the future.

After spending countless hours looking for a condo at Mainsail, I found the best! What a wonderful get away to the best condo we have ever stayed in. The pictures on line were wonderful but seeing the unit when we opened the door had us smiling and jumping for joy. My family loved our "beach home" and we thank Andree for all her attention to detail and for making our vacation such a memorable one. This unit is absolutely beautiful, with a great location in town as well as in the building itself. We couldn't have ask for anything more! The beds are absolutely the best!!! We had everything we could need & want. The beach cart was a pleasant surprise and made our trips to the beach with the kids a lot easier. The views of the beach and pool sure were nice every morning sitting on the balcony. See you again real soon and thanks a bunch from the Mays family!

I havent been to Sandestin area in the past 10 years. My family and I were thrilled with our view of the beach and pool. We couldnt have picked a better condo! Being on the 2nd floor was easy for us with the kids. We had 4 adults and 3 children under the age of 8. The pool and beach access, along with the beach buggy the owners let us use, was wonderful! They also had beach chairs we used too! The children slept on the pull out couch. Also across the street, within walking distance almost, was the outlet mall! What a joy! If you are looking for a condo that is up-to-date in decor, user friendly, clean, and welcoming, this is definitely the condo! We will be back to this one, hopefully sooner than later. Thanks to the McDonald's for keeping us updated and welcomed. They really know how to be a great host for vacationers. I also want to mention that we drove to Panama City one evening--it was only 47 miles to our favorite steak place there - Angelo's. I felt like we were in the center of attractions!

The condo at Mainsail was absolutely beautiful. It was clean, newly decorated and furnished, and the beds were so comfortable. The location of the condo is perfect. Across the road is a shopping mall, and within walking distance is a grocery store. The owners were wonderful to work with. They went to great lengths to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation!

The condo was as described by the owner, who couldn't have been more helpful. It was clean and I would highly recommend it to anyone. It was close to all the attractions that we wanted to go to and our girls enjoyed the pool and the beach. We really liked that it was only a couple of miles from P. F. Changs, one of our favorite places to eat. It is also just a few miles from Destin Commons.

A note from our guest... Fabulous First Family Vacation The condo was everything we expected. Andree did a fabulous job depicting it in her photographs and emails. It is renovated, clean, roomy and very welcoming. It was a pleasure renting from them as they were extremely thorough, punctual and organized. The location was perfect and the walk to the beach was very short. It was a perfect beach vacation for my husband, 22 month old and myself. I could not have asked for a better vacation. We had the pleasure of staying in this newly renovated unit the last week of April. The unit is not only impressive and comfortable, but the McDonalds are fantastic to work with. They go out of their way to stay in touch, contact you during your visit to make sure everything is to your liking and in my opinion genuinely care you are having a good time and want to return. The beach was quiet and very family friendly and gas grills in the complex made for easy family bbq by the pool. We've had the opportunity to stay at their Mainsail and Majestic Sun units and both are beautiful. We highly recommend this unit to anyone looking to travel to Destin!

Our family of five loved this condo. The key pad, wonderful king beds, large shower, great washer and dryer, flat screen tv's in each room, ice maker, beach chairs, kitchen, view, tennis courts and location. Beach is amazing. Very professional to work with.

Here is a comment written by our first renter's from Ohio... "We were the first ones to rent this condo after the McDonald's purchased it and completely remodeled it. What you see is exactly what you will be renting. We felt we rented the best in Destin, Florida, decorated very tasteful. The location is right in the heart of everything, walking distance to the grocery store and restaurants as well as the largest outlet mall in the area. From the condo you have a beautiful view of the gulf of Mexico as well as the swimming pool, hot tub,and the exercise building close by. Tennis courts and shuffle board courts are also close to this unit. You could rent this, park your car and never have to drive anywhere because everything is so convenient there. Movie theater is a short drive west which has first run movies. We stayed here from the 15th of January till the 13th of March 2010. Andree and Mike McDonald were good to deal with in our agreement and returned the security deposit just a few days after we got home. If things work out we will probably be renting from them in the future, why go anywhere else huh"?
