Whale watch from our lanai (seasonal) and see sunset skies from a 2nd floor, ocean view (balcony) or through sliding glass doors from our dining table, above tropical gardens (not parking). Enjoy our pillow-top Cal King bed. Freshen up between adventures in our enlarged, renovated, bathroom with custom, walk in multi-shower, four-foot vanity and elbow room to share. Beach chairs, beach mats, beach towels and a large picnic cooler are provided. There is a full kitchen, renovated for open space with an island breakfast counter. Oh, FREE WiFi too.
Outside you are literally steps from the beach, for long walks or a short one to an ocean front restaurant (at a neighboring building). Azeka Shopping Center and Piilani Shopping Center are about five driving minutes away. Times Supermarket is next to Azeka Shopping Center with plenty of local restaraunts, a post office and Longs Drug Store. Piilani Shopping Center currently has an Outback, Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Subway, Round Table, Blockbusters and a pharmacy in Safeway.
The property is located near Waipuilani Beach Park, in North Kihei, offering ocean, mountain and tropical garden views. Kauhale Makai offers central air conditioning, a nice gated pool area with a spa/hot tub, and children's wading pool. There are gas grills, putting course green, shuffle board, and an air conditioned, party room with a fridge, studio upright piano, separate men's and women's bathrooms and saunas.

We do not have an ADA compliant unit. However, our assigned parking spot is conveniently close to walks leading to elevators. Our entry door has a two inch threshold and our walk in shower has a three inch threshold.

This condo was very clean, casual and comfortable, the towels and linens were good quality and clean and fresh. The view was wonderful! From the lanai (as well as inside at the table and chairs pictured in the photos) we could look out over the ocean and watch the sun set. The amazing part of this, is that almost every evening just after the sunset the western horizon would glow like the red embers in a huge log fire after the flames die down. The beach is just a couple minute walk from the condo and although not a swimming beach it was great fun to walk on, and occasionally to watch local fishermen trying their luck and the more adventurous souls windsurfing! There was a equal mix of older and newer furniture, but it was all in decent shape. The only thing that needs to be mentioned here is that, while the bed was newer and in very good shape, it was really soft, which was a problem for myself, although my husband found it comfortable. As has been mentioned in other reviews, the bathroom renovation was delightful! There are areas in the kitchen that need a little redoing, but all the appliances worked well, and it was really nice to be able to make smoothies in the blender!
Recommended for:Families with young children, age 55+, tourists without a car.

Clean, nicely updated condo on second floor overlooking the pool and could see out to the ocean. Nice grass lawn to cross to get over dunes onto the beach. Swimmable but seemed to be more for kite surfing and windsurfing, especially in afternoons when gets really windy. Close to local grocery stores--about 20 minute walk/ 10 minute bike ride, right on the bus route. We only rented a car for 2 days to do the Hana tour and North Maui tour. Took bus or biked to great beaches in south kihei and wailea; also bussed all the way up to Napaali; rented snorkel equipment at Scuba Shack/Snorkel Bob across from Kam Beach 1-2, great prices/great equipment. Condo quiet most of the time, some door slamming but only for one night really. Rental very easy process and Cherry very accomodating, no problems whatsoever. It's not right on the true swimming beaches but if you don't mind biking/bus/car you can get there fast and see some things on the way. Great price, quiet and great value.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, families with young children, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

Fabulous location, great condo, and really nice owners to deal with. Emails dealt with promptly and professionally. The condo was as stated with great extras. Really well kept and clean. Excellent all around.

This condo was clean, comfortable and spacious with a great view of the gardens and ocean. The kitchen was up to date and the newly modeled bathroom was awesome, especially the shower! The bed was big and comfortable and we loved the view from the bedroom. We enjoyed the beautiful grounds, BBQing on the gas grill and relaxing at the nice pool. The office staff are very helpful. The owners of this condo are very nice and were great at giving us tips on the best places to see in Maui. We plan to come back and stay again at this condo!

Thank you for a very enjoyable stay at your condo. We found the condo to be well looked after, clean, comfortable and well equipped (towels, kitchen supplies etc). The unit is spacious for a one-bedroom, has nice natural light, and we enjoyed our time spent on the lanai. The newly updated bathroom is fantastic and the new king sized bed very comfortable. We wouldn't hesitate to book another stay in this unit. Cheers!
