When I die and go to heaven I want it to look like this!!!!

We just spent 10 of the most glorious days of our lives at Peter and Beverly's beautiful villa on Sapphire Beach. This villa is everything we hoped for and so much more. It is beautifully and tastefully decorated but not in a pretentious way....a very comfortable way. From the moment we arrived we felt at home there. You will LOVE the balconies, especially the lower one. Every day when we were out on the beach I would look up at the other units and not one could come close to comparing to the comfort they have provided here for their guests. Stretch out on the super comfy, padded, pillowed benches that are 9 feet long!!! Like they say, you will live here. I know I did. Every night I fought sleep because I didn't want to leave that balcony and go to bed :) Inside, everything you could possibly hope for is provided for you to make your stay even better. The living areas are spacious and comfy, upstairs and down. The 2 full bathrooms are stocked with Redken shampoo and conditioner (full size bottles) Ivory soap (welcome back childhood :),TP, kleenex....you name it. There are more beach towels than we could possibly use in 10 days and we went to the beach every day at least once. The kitchen is small but efficient and every manner of pots, pans, dishes, glassware is provided. I was amazed at all that was stored in those cabinets and drawers. Peter and Beverly were wonderful people to work with on planning our stay. I emailed often with questions and never waited more than a few hours for an answer and usually it was within minutes. They will have their man Smitty meet you at the airport and drive you out to Sapphire and then return you to the airport at the end of your stay if you wish. You will be within a 5 minute drive to Red Hook where you can shop, dine or catch a ferry or charter boat. It is the perfect location. The resort has a guard on duty at the gate 24/7 and security around the grounds. We never felt any reason to feel unsafe though. It is a lovely place for sure. We hope to be back there sooner than later and will not hesitate to stay at Peter and Beverly's villa. It is heaven!!!

Great Experience

Guest: Danny (New York City)
Date of Stay: 03/11/12 Review Submitted: 03/19/12

I visited this Condo for a week in March 2012. At first I was skeptical because I only saw 5 star reviews and not a single negative comment. After staying at the place, I assure you that it merits all 5 stars and all the positive reviews. The condo is right on the beach. The view of the water and St. John and Tortola in the distance is breathtaking and I ended up spending as much time on the terrace as at the beach. The unit is very nicely decorated and also has a fully equipped kitchen. There is a marina conveniently located only footsteps from the condo with chartered boat-tours. Red-hook is an ~2 min taxi ride or a 10 min walk away and has many bars and restaurants as well as ferries to St. John and other islands.

Just Relax

Guest: Cate & Ray (West River MD)
Date of Stay: 02/11/12 Review Submitted: 02/28/12

A week isn't nearly long enough. The most wonderful thing about Peter and Beverly's place (apart from the location, the fabulous beach and snorkeling a few feet from your door, the tradewinds that blow through, the two private decks, and the great support staff they have in place) is that even though the condo is every bit as beautifully decorated as an Architectural Digest spread, it is comfortable enough to put your bare feet up, light some candles, take a deep breath and just relax. All the stuff on the mainland will still be there when you return. But in the meantime, you can't find a better place to help you create your new reality and do what vacations are best for doing -- as little as possible!

We just spent a wonderful week at Peter´s and Beverly´s appartment. It´s so special. It was wonderful going directly to the beach or just sitting on the terrace. We really loved it so much and – after exploring the island – we decided that Sapphire is the best place on the whole isle. The appartment ist wonderful – it´s so tasteful and cosy and you feel comfortable from the first moment you enter. If we have a chance to come to STT again – we really wouldl like to stay her again.

Perfect Vacation!

We recently stayed at Peter and Beverly's condo at Sapphire Beach. I felt it was important to write a review considering how much research I did before our vacation and before I found this condo. The condo is exactly like the pictures and even more beautiful in person. Nothing beats the downstairs terrace and having breakfast in the morning looking into the ocean. Location was great and you felt like you were a guest in someone's home. Sapphire Beach was beautiful and had some of the best snorkeling right outside our door! It is also beautifully decorated and all the personal touches made it feel even more special. Peter was extremely informative and helpful before the trip giving various suggestions for day trips and places to eat. I highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a romantic getaway and we can't wait to go back!!!

Best Honeymoon we could have wished for!!

Guest: Sharon (Philadelphia, PA)
Date of Stay: 10/10/11 Review Submitted: 10/27/11

My husband and I stayed here for our Honeymoon in October 2011. We missed our connecting flight into the island and was stranded in San Juan for a couple of hours, but what better place to be stranded, since we go to San Juan ever year, we made the best of it and shopped and had a nice lunch at Raices. But moving on. Sam is the nicest and most informative person...simply the best. I am a very finicky about where I stay. Doesn't have to be a 5 star place...but clean and comfortable. The condo is EXACTLY how the pictures depict. Even better in person. Peter and Beverly do an excellent job in keeping it up. Groceries on the island are very expensive. Most condiments may already be in the condo (mayo, jelly, etc.) If you do go shopping I would concentrate on breakfast and 1 or 2 snacks, maybe some lunchmeat. That's it. You must visit Duffy's Love Shack, we had a great time there. Order the "Shark Tank" and the burges are great! Red Hook is a nice place to visit for lunch/dinner...plenty of place to chose from. Shopping in Charlotte Amalie was great. It gets pretty crowed when cruise ships are in town. It's a ghost town when there are none and you may be able to get a slightly better bargain. In Charlotee we had lunch at Glady's which was yummy. People also suggested Cuzzin's but we didnt get a chance to go. We also went to Paradise Point...whre the views are a must see. We took a taxi up (which was an adventure within itself!!...VERY steep hills) and then the tram back down...another adventure. On Wednesday nights, they have a live band. Food was good. While there you MUST take a day trip (or 2) to St. John and visit Trunk Bay Beach...absolutely AMAZING! It took my breath away. Overall we had a great stay at the condo. It had everything that we could possibly need, cookware, bar, sun hats, beach towels, off spray, everything. I hope you get the chance to enjoy this condo as much as we did!

J&N's Romantic 4th Anniversary Vacation

Guest: Jake and Nicole (Indianapolis, IN)
Date of Stay: 10/01/11 Review Submitted: 10/19/11

We vacationed to St. Thomas for the first time in Feburary of this year and stayed at Peter's condo. We fell in love with it so much that we came back 8 months later! Peter makes you feel like you are truely at home and provides you with the most detailed information regarding everything you would ever need to make your stay the best stay ever! The condo is amazingly beautiful and the view, ambiance, and atmosphere are unbelievable! I have had the pleasure of vacationing at almost every single Carribean island and nothing compares to this view, peacefullness, and relaxation. Every single morning we enjoyed coffee on the terrace as we watched the sun rise, and every single evening in the same spot with a nice glass of wine watching the sun set. Truely amazing view that words cannot describe. We enjoyed a day trip to the BVI's (Jost Van Dyke, Virgin Gorda) and to St. John USVI. Nothing beats Soggy Dollar Bar at White Bay Jost Van Dyke! Just an amazing trip that you must do while you enjoy your stay. Take the "Breakaway" or the "DayDreamer" day trip to the BVI's....both are great. DayDreamer is a catermaran sailboat and Breakaway is a powerboat. Both amazing trips. I highly reccomend taking "New Horrizons" sail boat dinner cruise....amazing! Snorkeling out front of the condo is absolutly amazing! We saw Stingrays, Sea Turtles, and millions of other beautifully collered fish. Oh and did I mention the small beach direcly in front of the condo is your own private beach....no one is ever there. Sapphire Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Once your there, you'll never want to go back to the "Real Life". This condo is truely amazing. Peter makes your stay feel like home and you really couldn't ask for a more peacefull and relaxing place to enjoy your vacation. We intend to make a repeating 8 month visit and stay at this condo every trip. AMAZING! Thank you Peter!!!!!

My wife and I just celebrated our 25th anniversary at Peter and Beverly's place. It was perfect. The condo was beautiful and had everything we needed for our weeks stay. We made our own breakfast and lunches with a few dinners thrown in. The kitchen was very well stocked. There really is nothing better than having your breakfast and coffee while sitting out on the patio. Weather was gorgeous and the trade winds blowing in made the days very comfortable. We just fell in love with the condo. Building E has a great view of the marina, St. John in the distance and the pool area to the left. The beach is a little rocky in front of the building but it makes for outstanding snorkeling. We saw turtles, rays, squid and so many fish is was amazing. We are already talking about making a return trip next year and will definitely reserve Peter and Beverly's place again.

That's a quote from a plaque on the wall on the upper level of this wonderful place...and it's oh! so true. We're not going to repeat all the raves of others--we agree with everyone who's enjoyed this hideaway before us. Peter and Beverly have left a pair of binoculars on one of the little tables in the living room. How thoughtful! It's fun to use them to watch the boats and look across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Sitting on either balcony with the lapping of bay waters on the shore and the thrum of ferries between St. Thomas and St. John; sunset, dusk and nightfall are absolutely heavenly. Having a husband who chefs, breakfasts every day out there are great. Both the umbrellas and the beach bags hanging on the pegs in the hall came in handy. There are caps and hats, too, if the sun's too much and you forgot yours. We are veteran time-sharers so having the kitchen was perfect--and better than timeshares, there were various condiments in the cupboard and things like ketchup, mustard and salad dressing in the refridge--check out what previous folks might have left before you buy those kind of things at the market (they are pricey!). Our trip to St. Thomas was actually planned around taking day sails. There are many charters available at Red Hook and we'd highly recommend Capt. Pat and her 44 foot ketch, the Independence. Check it out at www.independence44.us. (Darn, we wish it would link with a click.) Pat and Ray take up to six folks and allow for a couple hours of snorkeling for those who wish to do that. We had told Pat we just want to sail-sail-sail and that's just what we did, all day, on two separate days. The food she and Ray prepare in that tiny galley is fresh and delicious. If you are interested in a half day or full day sail with two long time sailors, you won't be disappointed with a day on the Independence. The resort itself is not exactly first-class and could use some maintenance, but we didn't care. Peter and Beverly's hideaway is fantastic and the beach and view couldn't be better. We'll not bother to visit any more Caribbean islands...we've found our island "home!" Bruce and Susy

Excellent ocean views & right on the beach

Guest: Randy (WA State)
Date of Stay: 04/02/11 Review Submitted: 04/19/11

I researched more than 10 different Caribbean islands before I decided to rent from Peter and Beverly on St. Thomas. I had some pretty specific criteria for which I was looking: 1) The condo had to be right on the beach so that the full effect of the sounds of the waves could be easily heard from the condo; 2) The view from the condo needed to be as close to 180 degrees of the ocean as you could get. 3) The beach needed to have good snorkeling. 4) The beach needed to have great sand. I did not want rocks for a beach. 5) I wanted the condo complex to be medium to small in size. I did not want to compete for space on the beach with hundreds of other people from high-rise hotels or condos. 6) I wanted the condo to be modern with updated furnishings. Peter and Beverly’s condo met all of these criteria. In fact, out of all of the Caribbean islands I researched, their condo was the only one to meet all of these criteria. I was being very picky because my wife and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and I wanted to do everything I could to ensure that we were going to like where we were staying and would have a wonderful time. Prior to arriving Peter sent us information on many of the local restaurants. His recommendations were very helpful in deciding where to go to eat. We also really liked getting picked up at the airport and then returned at the end of the stay. On the way to the condo when we first arrived we were able to stop and do some initial grocery shopping. It was also very convenient to rent a car. There is a Budget rental location at the complex next to Building “A”. Be sure to reserve a car ahead of time. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would go back again.

You don't want to stay anywhere else on St. Thomas! If you think the pictures look nice, wait until you see it in person! Sapphire Beach truly is the best beach on the island. You have everything you could want right there minus the throngs of tourists. The water is crystal clear blue and the sand is soft. We went snorkeling and saw sea turtles, squid and some fish. You can have lunch on the beach or in the condo. As for the condo, I'm kind of picky about where I stay and I wasn't disappointed! It's beautifully and tastefully decorated and has the best location on the beach. It's peaceful and quiet and if you want more action, you just walk a little ways down the beach and there you are! Peter is an amazing host and one of the best I've encountered on VRBO. He provided tons of helpful information and advice prior to our trip, which made everything go smoothly. If you're looking for a place to stay, you won't do any better than here!

Peter and Beverly's condo is the best on Sapphire Beach, by far. It is on the quieter end of Sapphire, which was perfect for us. We spent every evening on the beautifully appointed balcony, just listening to the waves and smelling the clean ocean air. It is also the perfect place to eat breakfast and start the day. The condo was in a great location, near Red Hook, where the ferry boats are, and many good restaurants. The decor was very nicely done and had a warm, inviting atmosphere. Having the second level with the second balcony made it all the more perfect. We had a great experience here!

Owner response:Very pleased to hear Keith refer to our place as Home Away from Home......exactly what we had hoped to have it feel like for our guests.

I wish we could rate this property with 10 stars because it most defiantly deserves it! Peter and Beverly's condo is a dream come true. The condo is clean, very well kept and beautifully decorated! You could stay in doors and be very comfortable, but why do that when they have the best view I have ever seen on any Caribbean Island. As your standing on their terrace you have a great view of St. John and many other islands. Meals on the terrace is so cool! Its like in your in fine restaurant with the best view in the house and it is yours for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Cocktails, all day, everyday! The night view with the lights from St. John is awesome! You just have to see it to really know what you are missing! Peter was great help, he made suggestions for dinning out, transportation and was willing to share what they have experienced so we could make good decisions and use our time well. We enjoyed Red Hook, there are many good restaurants to choose from. My favorite was "Coco Bay" they have great Key Lime Sea Bass! The next time we return, a tour of the Island is a must! There are so many beautiful views to and from the airport, I'm sure a tour would show us many more! We took a day trip to BVI, that was a great day at sea. It is so nice Peter provides transportation to and from the airport, you have no worries on how to find there condo because Sam will take you there! What a great way to start your week - worry free. Of course the beach is wonderful, great sun and the snorkeling was a lot of fun! We were very happy with our stay at Peter & Beverly's Condo at Sapphire Beach and we will back!

Simply the BEST!

When you travel for a living and get use to your typical high end hotels and resorts you just can't picture yourself renting a condo for your vacation until you've stayed at The Millard's Caribbean Hideaway!!! This condo is sparkling clean, unbelievably comfortable and will make you feel right at home...so at home that we stayed in and cooked dinner 2 nights in a row! Who cooks dinner for themselves on vacation?! How rare to find that in a vacation rental. Not one amenity is forgotten and every recommendation from high end restaurants, hotdogs from the Banana Cabana to day trips and must see beaches is so spot on that you don't have one regrettable day! Let's not forget the pristine view from the balconies! Looking out onto Sapphire Beach and that beautiful bright blue water was so relaxing...it gave you the ability to truly embrace all that a vacation should be! We loved our time here and look forward to going back year after year. Thank you Peter and Beverly for sharing your slice of heaven...it's simply the Best!

Owner response:We were a bit nervous about this guest because they are people who stay at the best hotels, and our place is much more laid back. Clearly not a problem shifting gears for them. There is something to be said for a calm easygoing style.

So memorable!!!!!!

Guest: Cheri S. (United States)
Date of Stay: 01/14/11 Review Submitted: 02/08/11

We stayed at Peter and Beverely's "slice of heaven" on January 14-21st, 2011. Prior to booking this beautiful condo, I did alot of research to try to find an amazing place to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday. We were so NOT disappointed!!!!! Not only was the condo exactly as pictured and described, but Peter and Beverely's attention to detail made this the perfect home base for us while exploring the beautiful Virgin Islands. From the moment Sam picked us up at the airport and took us grocery shopping to the moment Jillian returned us sadly to the airport, everything was perfect. We spent many evenings watching the sun set on the candlelit terrace sharing a bottle of wine and cheese and enjoying the amazing view before heading out for the evening. I cannot say enough about the calming decorating and ambiance that enabled us both to just relax and forget about our busy schedule back home for a week. The recommendations that Peter and Beverely provided to us prior to our arrival regarding restaurants, transportation, excursions and general island information was priceless. Not only did I not have to do the research myself but was pleasantly surprised that everything that was recommended was perfect. After we tried the first two restaurant recommendations, we both realized that we couldn't go wrong with anything that Peter and Beverely recommended so we rarely strayed from their list including the excursions. How relaxing to not have to figure this out for ourselves!!! My husband and I are so in love with this place, we know we will be back with the hopes of one day owning a piece of this paradise. Thank you so much Peter and Beverely for making this the absolute best and most relaxing vacation we could have dreamed and thank you for making us feel like more than just "renters". We will be back!!!!!

Owner response:This was a very special review in that Cheri talks about our recommendations that we send each guest and how helpful they are. Actually, we based a good deal of our comments on our initial thoughts and then edited based largely on the input of our guests. If they loved a place that we weren't so excited about, like Duffy's Love Shack ( and everyone seems to love it except me ) it went back on the list. If they didn't like something, we noted it. Renting has turned out to be a pleasure for us, because so many of our guests share their joy of the place with us, and that makes us feel a whole lot better about the insanity of owning in the Caribbean - where the people are charming, but the repair work is not certain to actually happen, and the maintenance, electrical and water bills are higher than that flawless romantic tropical moon. We are grateful to you all, and we thank you for your very generous comments.

My wife and I recently spent our honeymoon at Peter and Beverly's condo. Without a doubt, it was the best decision we could have made. The pictures do the place no justice as the view is more breathtaking with each and every day that passes. Sitting on the amazing deck eating breakfast every moring was one of the many highlights of the week. The condo is uniquely postioned on Sapphire, with close proximity to pool as well as the outstanding beach. Snorkeling is prevelant whether it be at the beach below Peter's condo or the main beach of few hundred yards away. If your a water lover like myself, this is the place for you. Red Hook is located a mere mile or so away which gives you the great opportunity to check out the local scene with many bars and awesome restaurants. While Red Hook does not have the hustle and bustle of downtown (who would want that on vacation), it is ideal for those seeking relaxtion and activity at night while having access to the ferries for daytrips during the day. I could go on for hours because each day was something special. Vacations are what you make of it and this condo gives you an excellent starting point each and every morning. We will surely be returning!

My husband and I agree that the description and photos of this property are exactly as it is. Everything was perfect, from the beautiful decor to the most awesome views out your windows, you couldn't ask for more. The owners have created a true paradise home away from home. The marina next door is so convenient. We went on a snorkel trip with Marcus on the New Horizons boat. We enjoyed great snorkeling, delicious food and the best "Pain Killers" on the island. Later in the week we went fishing with Chris on the Double Header boat, my husband caught a 45lb. Wahoo and a 30lb. Wahoo. We shared this charter with two other guys, which made the cost minimal. Ask for Chris, he is an excellent captain. During our stay we cooked several of our meals in the newly remodeled kitchen, including the Wahoo. Be sure to check out the Banana Cabana on the resort property. They serve great burgers, the best mahi mahi sandwich, cold beer and tasty tropical drinks. The beach at Sapphire is beautiful, crystal clear water and great for snorkeling. We also enjoyed the pool, never crowded, and so relaxing. The owner, Peter, was very helpful in answering all of our questions. We would highly recommend this property to our friends, and we are hoping to return in the future.

Excellent Stay at Sapphire Beach

Date of Stay: 09/19/10 Review Submitted: 10/11/10

Stayed in Peter's condo for 11 days and had a great time! The condo is exactly what you see in the pictures - very classy, a nice change from places we have stayed that have shells, fish and "beach" decor on every wall. This place has a refreshingly upscale quality to it. A quick $1 "safari" ride into Red Hook, which is still bustling even in "hurricane" low season and the convenient ferry to St John and all of BVI. Spent two weeks at the Crystal Cove next door last year, and though those units do have a washer/dryer, this condo was right on the water and generally nicer and more modern. Finally made the full moon party the Bomba Shack on Tortola (spent a night at the Long Bay - beautiful resort, but rooms are overrated), another birthday at the Soggy Dollar on Jost Van Dyke and finally made it to the Baths at Virgin Gorda - which was the best experience we had. Coki Beach on St. Thomas and Trunk Bay on St. John were great, as usual. If they could just keep inconsiderate people from climbing on the reefs and leaving trash at Coki. I highly recommend Sapphire Beach as a beautiful, safe place on St Thomas and a stay at Peter’s condo. (Sam, who manages the unit for Peter and provides transportation from and to the airport, was also a great help with info and suggestions!)

I manage a very large luxury apartment community, so with that- please note that I am very perceptive of where I stay! From Sam and his wife picking us up at the airport to walking in this beautiful escape- it is Heaven! I did not feel at any time I was at a typical rental- I was at someone's very loved home with all the special details! Color scheme of the condo, Redken amenities in the shower, beautifully decorated interior, (white candles everywhere!-loved it!) books (one- helpful hints on the island from the Millards of where to go & what to do in USVI), fully equipped kitchen and my FAVORITE patio on Earth is at this condo!!!! The view and comfort of this patio gave me the rest my spirit and body needed-It is exactly like the photos-just looking at them makes me want to be there right now! In the morning-coffee and watching the sunset- Evenings-We would hang out before going out for dinner & come back to light candles and have evening cocktails looking up at the stars! As for the beach just footsteps away, clean- gorgeous clear ocean-you can snorkel all day and see beautiful fish and amazing sea turtles! (look for the stand that has the snorkel equipment and ask the staff for the best places-they'll let you know) St Thomas is very close by - (cab or safari taxi will get you anywhere on the island) When I could get pulled away from the patio-lol- we went to our favorite place (Island Time Pub) - I referred several people (not happy with their choice) to this condo for rental and gave them Peter's contact information for their next trip! Everything that Peter describes & the helpful suggestions were 100% accurate, Sam & company are close by for any on site issues as well-we will return to visit! If you like casual luxury, great attention to detail and overall a great place, take my personal and professional opinion- stay here!

Nicest Unit in the Complex !

Date of Stay: 07/18/10 Review Submitted: 08/31/10

We were in St. Thomas 7/18/10 - 7/24/10. This was our first trip to the Virgin Islands and the Sapphire Beach Condos were the perfect home base. Condo It was very nicely decorated and well maintained. It is a two story unit and is very spacious. The first floor features a nice, large bathroom and a small, yet smartly-designed, upscale kitchen. There is a living area with comfy seating and a large outdoor patio with plenty of places to lounge. The view of Sapphire Beach and St. John in the distance is breathtaking, especially the sunrises. The second floor of the condo features another large area that doubles as a second living area and bedroom. Again, there is another smaller patio/deck here with lounge chairs. The condo is tastefully decorated and really feels like home. I was able to peek into several other units in the building and none of them appeared to be as updated and nice as this one. Resort The resort grounds are nice and well maintained. It is nice to know that access to the condos is controlled 24/7 at the guard booth. The parking area is a little tight and there are lots of potholes and it was sometimes hard to find a parking spot when we came back from dinner in the evening. The beach area is huge and beautiful. There are several places to hang out, sunbathe, and swim. There's a little place to grab a bite and a drink and a place to check out snorkeling equipment and beach chairs. The pool was very nice and well maintained. Overall, the resort seemed to be almost fully occupied, but it never felt crowded or like we were running into people constantly. It's very easy to get away and find a quiet place to relax. Direct beach access and stunning views are two of the major advantages of this property. Location As mentioned, this is a great place to use as a home base. We aren't really the types to plop down in one place for a whole week, especially since there are so many sights and islands to see in this area. However, if that is your thing, then this is definitely the place to plop down for a week and tune everything else out. The property is located very close to Red Hook, which is a small village that contains several stores (including a grocery store), restaurants, shops, the ferry.

When you want to get away, relax , and find yourself gazing into the abyss , Peter and Mrs. Beverly’s Sapphire get away is just what the Dr. ordered. Every last detail has been perfectly thought out for you as their guest. First you walk in and see the most beautifully decorated dream escape, with Ralph Lauren inspiration, clean lines and perfect attention to every detail. Then you will notice the restrooms off to the right as you walk in and not only do they lavish your locks with Redken shampoos and conditioners , they have cotton swabs and pads for your facial needs. Attention to detail is their gift. After you stop admiring the clean perfection of the design you notice the most magnificent view straight ahead off the terrace . The waters are so brilliant blue, the mountains are brightly green that you can sit on the terrace with extreme comfort on the retreat perfect spot curled up on one of the many pillows lined up on the chaise lounge. You will NOT be dis-satisfied with this villa. We will return. Thank you Peter and Beverly for the Royal Retreat Treatment!!!

We have stayed in many different condos on Sapphire (the best beach in St. Thomas) because our son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren live there. We feel that we have now found a home away from home and will stay at this fabulous condo every trip. There are wonderful design details, great colors and the view is amazing!

I joined 2 friends for a week-long trip to St. Thomas recently. The Millard condo was heaven on earth for us...really. Not only is it located on the most gorgeous stretch of sand on the island, the views from the 2 terraces are unbelievably beautiful: crystal clear blue waters by day, the lights of St. John and/or a lovely moon by night. We went to sleep hearing the waves and feeling the gentle breezes of the Carribean. The Millard condo was nicely decorated and included everything we needed for a relaxing vacation. It felt like a friend's vacation home rather than a hotel. In a way, we do have a personal friend on the island now. Sam, the Millard's local property manager, arranged for our sailing trips, rental cars and gave us useful advice on activities. He is a gem! This was my third trip to Sapphire Beach, but my first to the Millard condo. While the resort has lost its full-service restaurant and beach bar, I actually prefer its new quieter atmosphere. (You can get good food and drinks at smaller stands on the resort property.) At times it felt like a private beach, although I did snorkel with a sea turtle hundreds of fish just steps from the beach! I am sure I will visit the Millard "slice of heaven" again.

Peter's condo is a great place stay. The condo is on the third floor of a 3 story building right on the beach. Great views and sounds - perfect setting for relaxation. Pick up the snorkeling equipment right on the beach and dive right in to watch the tropical fish swim around the coral. Sapphire beach is a treasure and I hope the resort stays under-developed so that it continues to feel like a private beach.

We spent our 25th anniversary at Peter and Beverly's villa, and we had a fantastic time! The view from the villa, which is right on the beach, was spectacular! We spent so much time on the terrace reading, playing games, relaxing and simply enjoying the amazing view! The villa is very clean, and it is beautifully decorated, charming and cozy! Peter was so nice and gave us wonderful recommendations for day trips from Sapphire and for local restaurants. He could not have been more helpful. Sam treated us like a personal friend when we arrived in St. Thomas. He was gracious, kind and very helpful. The snorkeling is excellent at Sapphire; we saw lots of fish and even some sea turtles! Our stay at Peter and Beverly's villa was delightful, and we hope to go back again!

My girlfriend and I returned last week from a five night stay at Peter and Beverly’s condo. I’ve stayed on several different islands and this condo had by far the best view. It has fantastic views of St. John, several cays, and Jost Van Dyke and Tortola in the distance. We would spend time sitting on one of the two balconies having a drink and watching the boats go by. The condo itself is very well kept and well maintained. We found having two bathrooms worked out well for getting ready to go out at night. The condo has air conditioning, but we never turned it on. We preferred to keep the sliding doors open at night and listen to the ocean. Everything you need for a relaxing, amazing vacation is right there for you at the condo, including a great beach in Sapphire. You have fantastic snorkeling right in front of the condo and in the coral to the left of the pool area. The Banana Cabana is open and serves great food for breakfast and lunch. They also make a great rum punch. Definitely try the grilled mahi and grilled chicken. We visited several of the beaches on both St. Thomas and St. John and loved them all. We also went to many different bar/restaurants including Blue Moon Café, Agave Terrace, Latitude 18, Fungi’s, Iggies, Molly Molone’s, Island Time Pub, and the Beach Bar on St. John. If you get a chance, goto the Blue Moon Café for dinner, but arrive before sunset - - you’ll love the view and the food is incredible.

I would recommend Peter and Beverly's villa to anyone who wishes to enjoy a fabulous vacation. Once you get to Sapphire, you can kick off your shoes and never leave. The best beach is right out your back door.We rented a car for a few days to see the rest of the island, but could not wait to get back! The villa is very clean with a wonderful kitchen if you decide to cook a few meals at home. The owner has a great list of excursions that leave from the dock at Sapphire Beach plus a wonderful list of the best restaurants in town. The recommendations we chose on this list proved to be excellent. We took advantage of a sailboat day, diving and snorkeling, and of course, lounging by the pool. I would highly recommend using this rental to anyone who wants to get away for a relaxing, rejuvenating, and wonderful St. Thomas experience! This is truly the gem of the Carribean. Rated A++!!! I got Peter's name from another owner at Sapphire. I was looking for another unit for my mother and father to stay in...Peter was so friendly and accommodating to let us stay there on fairly short notice. Site unseen Peter described his unit to me and it sounded great, I got it and they loved it!! If you have never been to St Thomas you should go, and the best place to stay on the island is Sapphire beach. These units are right on the beach with spectacular views, looking across at St John with water that is as amazing to see as well as play in... I live in California which makes it a long flight but oh so worth it when you get there! Thanks Peter. Hope to see you soon.. Terry

Absolutely stunning. The views are amazing and snorkeling on your mostly private beach. Very romantic. The condo is beautiful and beachy. Extra comfortable bed in Master and a view you will not get anywhere else, to wake up to! (-: We explored the island and couldn't wait to get back to our private spot without the hustle and bustle. Cannot wait to book our next visit...Sapphire is already calling us back.

This condo is wonderful! When you rent this condo, your vacation will be made so easy. Included in this condo is airport pick-up/drop-off, which is so nice. After pick-up. they'll take you to the grocery store to stock up on supplies - another big plus. The condo is very relaxing with comfy chaise lounge chairs on each porch overlooking the ocean. You can relax all day in the open sea air in fabulous comfort without ever leaving the condo. But, I would recommend you do leave because the beach is gorgeous and the snorkeling around the point between the two beaches is the best. One of the beaches has the perfect, soft white sand and it is a very safe beach and perfect for children or beginner snorkelers. You will love this place!!

Loved it! Loved it! A little piece of heaven! you cannot get a better view from the bedroom...it like waking up on cloud and looking out at the sea! The beautiful white decor makes it feel dreamy, clean and fresh. The great service from the caretakers is as if you are their own personal house guest. We would go back without hesitation! And recommended it to many family and friends.

My best friend and I celebrated a mutual "major" birthday by renting this stunning, picture perfect Caribbean condominium. Even a week wasn't long enough to soak up all the delights of Sapphire Beach, mostly because it was very difficult for us to leave the terrace and its endlessly gorgeous seaviews. For anything we needed -- from groceries to a car rental to a ride to the airport -- Sam was there in an instant to solve it. With the sea breezes wafting through the terrace doors, I have never slept so peacefully and soundly in my life, nor had I ever unwound so quickly on a vacation. The tranquilizing effect began the minute we opened the front door. It was such an all-round wonderful week that I have booked the condo for my son's honeymoon next May. I can't imagine a more perfect spot!

Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote, "What we see is always ourselves." When I open the veranda doors at the Millard Villa and take in the surrounding beauty composed of the water's colors and its sound on the shore, the sunlight dancing like diamonds and the breeze in the palm trees, I simply say "Thank You God for your extravagance and allowing me to be a part of this beauty." Whether you're there to vege or play, Peter and Beverly have created a chic yet comfortable, safe haven in which to allow the cares, worries, stresses and strife to melt away. It's the ONLY place to which I want to escape.
