Our family has only nice things to say about our experience at this property. Communication with the owner was easy and pleasant, the property is clean with comfortable livingroom furniture, has many updates, and had everything we needed from beach toys and towels to kitchen equipment and spices. It was a very short walk to the beach access. We were permitted to bring our well-behaved cat, and all of us, cat included, enjoyed the little screened porch.

Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car, pet owners.

This unit in Runaway Bay was great. The 2 bedroom / 2 bath unit had plenty of space and a fully equipped kitchen. As mentioned in the title we came down for a wedding and after talking to other wedding guests, it confirmed we had gotten the best deal as far as location and amenities. It is fabulously located right near the beach and the pool is right around the corner from the unit itself within Runaway Bay. The supermarket is a short drive up Gulf Shore Drive with restaurants within walking distance. If you plan on visiting Anna Maria Island, feel confident that a stay in this unit in Runaway Bay will be the easiest part of your trip and all you will have to worry about is your sunscreen!

Great time in the sun

Thank-you Daniel for letting us rent your condo. We had a wonderful time swimming in the pool, playing tennis and making sand castle on the beach. The condo was perfectly clean and the pictures tell how nice the place is. We took the free trolley to the fishing pier and watched the fish and dolphins. Our four boys enjoyed the sun and quiet time. This place is excellent as advertised.

Just returned from our stay on Anna Marie Island. The owner responded to all questions very promptly and everything was handled smoothly. The condo was just as described and clean and well equipped. It was centrally located and near the beach with a lovely pool area and manicured grounds. There was a trolley stop just outside the complex and the bus came about every 20 minutes. The beaches were beautiful and the water was warm and lovely. We enjoyed seeing the dolphins swimming on several occasions. Hopefully we will be able to come back for a longer visit sometime soon. GREAT Condo, AMAZING Location, BEST vacation

My husband and I came here for our one year anniversary vacation and could not have asked for a more relaxing and stress free getaway. The condo was WAY bigger than we expected and exceptionally clean. Being able to use their towels and chairs when we walked across the street to the beach was great and we took full advantage of the washer and dryer in the unit .The location was fantastic, right in the middle of the island, walking distance to restaurants, shopping and the beautiful beach. Also, having the FREE trolley stop outside of Runaway Bay, when we wanted to explore the rest of AMI, was an added plus. We had a fun time going to dinner at the different restaurants that run up and down the island (most of them with great views of the bay or Gulf) and enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL sunsets every night. Dan was a pleasure to work with and was spot on with all of his suggestions. Thank you for helping make our anniversary one to remember! We definitly plan on "Running Away" here in the near future.

Execellent place to stay

My family stayed for a week (last week) four of us. Plenty of room, loved the set up inside and everything we needed was there. The location is great easy walk to pool, beach, and the pier outback. My family thoroughly enjoyed our week there and plan to stay again next year. There is a trolley stop right outside the complex too which we rode to enjoy the sights one day, so much easier than driving a car around an unfamiliar place. I highly recommend the owner is also very accessable if needed. We had no issue but did confirm we arrived and that we had checked out. Great place :).

Every thing was great and the apartment had everything you could ask for. Clean, nice and very close to the beach, onely a couple of minutes. We hade a nice pool area were the kids did spend a lot of time . And even a small gym that my son appreciated.Close to resaurants and shopping( by car) and in a very nice area. The owner has been fantastic and wery helpful with everything. Could not ask for better service! I will recommend this nice place to families with children and to older people and to anyone who wants a nice vacation. We had som rain and Thunderstorms but will not have that next time!?

Perfect vacation spot!

This unit provided everything we needed. And Dan was very helpful with every question I had before, during, and after our stay. We stayed here for a week with our 2 daughters and their husbands. It was such a wonderful stay....a much needed rest for all of us. The men enjoyed fishing several spots and had a dolphin show in the bay. At Coquina Beach, we had a huge manatee swim so close we could have touched it had my younger daughter not been so scared that she all but walked on water to get away. We went back to the same place the next day and he came right by again just like we expected. The area has great restaurants....Anna Maria Oyster Bar on Cortez, Cortez Cafe, the Swordfish Grill, the Rod & Reel Pier Restaurant, Sharky's, Moore's Stonecrab House in Longboat Key....all were exceptionally good. The weather was perfect every day! We can't wait until next summer to go back with our family and my husband and I hope to go back this summer. I have to say that our vacations at Bradenton last summer and last week rank right at the top of our vacations during our 37 years of marriage.

This property was exactly what we expected based on the description and photos. It was clean, well- maintained, and equipped with all of the essentials for our stay. Another great getaway to Anna Maria Island

This was our 11th year on Anna Maria Island at Runaway Bay and our second year in this condo. This was also our longest stay. We enjoyed every minute. Runaway Bay has all that we need: beautiful swimming pool, close access to the beach, tennis court, and so much more. As I said in last year's review, it is such a pleasure dealing with the owner of the condo rather than a realty company which we did for the previous nine years. He is very attentive to doing all he can do to make our stay a great experience and it was! We are looking forward to returning in 2013.

We had a family vacation for Thanksgiving - Dad, Mom, Son (26), Daughter (23) - we all had an awesome trip. The unit was clean and had everything we needed - including beach chairs and a football. We could (and did) walk to a number of restaurants, a couple were right on the beach. The pool was heated and wonderful. They had a party room that we used to watch our favorite collge basketbal team. All this and plenty of golf courses within 20 minutes. Great time had by all.

My family and I stayed at this wonderful Runaway Bay condo for a long 4th of July weekend; it was fabulous. The condo was furnished with everything my family needed. The location is wonderful; directly across from the Ocean and on the Intercoastal waterway. The Complex was very tropical and the grounds very clean. We rented Paddle Boards one day and Kayaks on another day. We loved the pool and the pier that overlooked the Bay. There were forth of July fireworks 3 days in a row and the restaurants in the area were amazing. We would recommend this condo for a short weekend at the beach or a long summer vacation. A marvelous getaway from the harsh winters of the north

We began coming to Runaway Bay 10 years ago when a friend who worked for a travel agent got us our first unit. We fell in love with Anna Maria Island. For the first 9 years we went through one of the local realtors and became increasingly dissatisfied with our experience with reference to the condition of the unit, the rental fees, and the response we got when something needed attention. In 2010, we decided that we wanted to come back to Anna Maria and, if possible, Runaway Bay so we consulted VRBO using the computer. That was how we were introduced to this unit. We knew what to expect from the island and the complex- that was what kept us coming back! There was nothing that we wanted that was not available to us. But what came as a surprise was the advantage and pleasure of dealing with the owner (especially this owner!) instead of a realty company. He was so helpful in answering all questions and concerns. The level of communication was excellent and he was very accommodating. He was fair and businesslike but also warm and friendly. We enjoyed the condo very much and look forward to returning in 2012 for a longer stay.

Runaway Bay is a beautiful condo community--the bay view is gorgeous. The beach is steps away. The condo was clean and well maintained, and the owner was personable and quickly responded to email inquiries. Even the neighbors were friendly! We loved that our pet was allowed and he even enjoyed his walks on the well-kept grounds. We went to many great restaurants--our favorite was Mr. Bones. Overall, a relaxing vacation and a comfortable environment.

We booked our vacation at this property online for our 30th wedding anniversary and we were very pleased. The unit was spacious, clean, and fully equipped with everything that we needed. The location was fantastic. The pool was large and beautiful and the grounds are very well kept. The property is located was just across the street from the beach and there are stops in front of the condo complex to pick up the free island trolley which provides easy access to the entire island. Some of our favorite places to eat on the island are the Rod and Reel, the Sandbar, the Old Hamburg Schnitzel House, and Mr. Bones. Additionally, if you have the need for wireless internet services, Pink Flamingo is a good inexpensive option. I work from home and needed to have internet services during our stay. We paid $20 for 30 days of service and I was able to work as usual while on vacation. We have visited Anna Maria Island for the last 12 years and have stayed at many rental properties. The owner of this property was great with assisting with the rental process and the price is certainly a great value. We will definitely be back and would not hesitate to recommend renting this unit to family and friends! Thanks for a great time!

If anyone is looking for a great vacation place, Runaway Bay is the perfect spot. We just spent a month in this lovely condo, it had everything that anyone could want or need. The view from the balcony is quaint and peaceful, a beautiful pool and just a hop, skip & a jump to the beach. The area is so neat and clean, quiet and we met so many nice people. The owners are very willing to please and help you out, what more could you ask for. I would highly rate the whole experience.

Greetings, I would highly recommend my experience with VRBO and my stay on Anna Maria Island. It was a quality property and well maintained. It really did feel like my "home away from home". The weather was a little cooler than they are used to but coming from Minnesota I can tell you, it was plenty warm and the sun was out except for one day. The whole experience was definitely a positive one for me.

My wife and I could not have been more pleased renting this unit. The unit is located away from high trafic areas of the condo complex, and is conviniently located within a short 3 minute walk to the beach (just across Gulf Drive). Take advantage of the free shuttle that takes you along the shore (there is a shuttle stop within a few feet of the condo complex). We'll definitely be renting with these folks next year, thanks!
