Big Pine Lodge is a spacious 6 bedroom, 4 bathroom executive vacation home located on 200' of scenic frontage on Lake Thompson in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. It boasts a large, well equipped kitchen, and an open floor plan. The oak dining table will seat 16 to 20! The living room has a large screen TV and a gas fireplace. The large covered deck adjoins the living room and is ideal for al fresco dining or cocktails!
Five of the six bedrooms have lake views, as do both the upstairs living/dining areas and the lower level family room. The family room features a pool table and informal dry bar, as well as a second gas fireplace. The private cedar sauna is large enough for 4 to 6 people.
Big Pine Lodge is ideal for accommodating families, retreats, weddings or groups in any season. It adjoins Holiday Acres Resort and Big Pine guests have the use of the recreational facilities there, including the large indoor pool. The excellent Three Coins Restaurant at Holiday Acres is also just a short walk away. Lake Thompson is known for good fishing, swimming and water sports. In winter, cross country ski trails, snowmobile trails and snowshoe trails are available right from the front door.
Of course, Big Pine Lodge is only minutes away from all of Rhinelander's shopping, dining, movie theatres, and services. Big Pine Lodge is the special place for your next Get-together Getaway!

We really enjoy boating on Lake Thompson. A winter project for Kim is often working on a favorite old wooden boat, or sometimes building a new one.
Why the Owner Chose Rhinelander
When Big Pine Lodge became available, our oldest son suggested that we consider purchasing it. It is a very special place, on a beautiful lake that we love. We are so glad that he did! We have enjoyed welcoming our own extended family to Big Pine and know what a great place it is to be together, play and relax. It is large enough to have ball games on TV, card games and video games all going at once in different places. The kitchen and dining area are set up to handle a feast. It is wonderful to be able to share this great home with our guests!
The Unique Benefits of this House
Big Pine Lodge is in the woods, on the lake and only a short drive away from Rhinelander's city services! It's a great location. The advantage of staying in private home, but also having the use of the Holiday Acres Resort facilities is a unique benefit. Northwood, one of the best public golf courses in the state is 6 miles from BPL. A number of other excellent courses are 30 to 40 minutes drive.
