The peace and quiet of the Brushy Mountains that surround this cabin along with the comfortable, cozy cabin itself makes for an ideal get-away that offers rest, relaxation, and de-stressing. Unplug and get away from it all. Reconnect with yourself and those you love.
This cabin is located about an hour and a half northwest of Charlotte, near North Wilkesboro and Wilkesboro, NC. It is situated high up on the mountain and has a beautiful mountain view. The cabin is also an hour from Winston-Salem, and about 35 minutes from Boone and Appalachian State University. It is very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Blowing Rock.
Several festivals occur close by throughout the year: Merle Fest in April, Chicken Fest on Memorial Day weekend, and the Brushy Mountain Apple Festival in October. Nearby Stone Mountain offers several hiking trails and tours of an old homestead. The New River is the perfect spot to canoe. Several local wineries offer tours, and there are many hiking trails nearby. Mountain biking and cycling is also very prevalent on and around the Brushy Mountains.
Come for a weekend, or a week and enjoy the wrap-around deck with an exhilarating view in all seasons. Have a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise. The wood burning fireplace provides a cozy atmosphere on chilly nights. If you are looking for a beautiful place to relax and de-stress, this is it!!

$100/night .. $550/week. These fees are for general weekend and week rates
Rental fee for Merle Fest Weekend is negotiable. In order to insure that the
cabin is clean for our guests, we also charge a $50.00 cleaning fee in addition to
nightly/weekly rates. Thank you.
Note: Accepting reservations for MerleFest 2012!!! This weekend is rented as a
package. 4 nights, including the cleaning fee, fro $800 total.

We decided to buy this property because of the beautiful view on top of the mountain. It is very peaceful and relaxing. There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, including sightseeing, hiking, dining, canoeing, and much more. Or, if you just need a weekend get away, this is ideal! Hope you can come visit our cabin in the beautiful Brushy Mountains!
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
It is wonderful to experience nature and the beauty of the mountains. We also love being close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, wonderful mountain towns such as Boone, Blowing Rock, and West Jefferson. There is so much to do!! And, you can also just relax and do nothing.

Just got back from a 2 night stay at the cabin and it was great. The cabin is very rustic on the inside but very functional. It was a great place to kick back and relax. It has a perfect yard for kids to run around in and an incredible view of the mtns. Stay here! You won't regret it!
Recommended for:Age 55+, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We were looking for a quiet and secluded get away and this place was just the ticket. There are no neighbors and it is beautiful. We never left the property so no comment on what to do or places to visit. There is plenty of entertainment items; games, books, movies, records, etc. Communication by owner was excellent. Great place to stay if you want private, peaceful, seclusion.
Recommended for:Girls getaway.
