THE UNIT
The unit is on 8th floor and facing south and east, which enjoys the quiet and peace even in the busiest hour of weekdays. 125sqm with well-appointed living and dinning area. Tastefully furnished with designer fittings and fully-equipped kitchen and living areas, the unit offers the comfort desired by international travelers and their families.
MASTER BEDROOM & BATH HIGHLIGHTS
Master bedroom features a comfortable queen size bed with side table and lamp. One window to the east where you can enjoy the warm sunrise. A private balcony is connected with master bedroom through a glass door at the south. You will find plenty of space to hang cloths in the wardrobe. There is a dresser with tall mirror where ladies can sit down for make-up or check appearance before going out.
Master bath features a stand up shower (glass enclosed) and a hot tub. The tub may be a bit small, but the light through the Persian blinds of the window at the side of the tub will make bath very relaxing.
SECOND BEDROOM & BATH HIGHLIGHTS
Second bedroom is in reasonable size and we put a very comfortable queen bed in the second bedroom. The second bathroom features a glass enclosed standup shower. The washer/drier all-in-one unit is in there. If you have some dry clean laundry, you can either use the service provided by Somerset or the laundry service just five minutes walk from the apartment. No need to mention, the later is much cheaper.
LIVING ROOM
The living room features a long sofa where family can all sit and watch 37in LCD flat panel TV. Kids may love to play on the sofa up and down, my daughter did a lot and her favorite game was to build a house with all the cushions. In the evening, the sofa is big and comfortable enough to have two adults sleeping on it.
The satellite TV is connected and brings you CNN, HBO, ESPN, Bloomberg, NG, NHK. You may also be interested in those many Chinese channels, where you may see China from local media.
KITCHEN
You can cook yourself a good breakfast or even a dinner in the fully equipped kitchen. Salt and pepper are prepared. We will prepare some coffee and sugar at least enough for your first morning after arrival. If you like to bake or grill something, sorry we don’t have oven. But the bakery is only five minutes walk and there are good steak houses in town we can recommend.
SECURITY AND SERVICES
The building A has its own secured entrance. Also Somerset provides 24 hours security and CCTV monitor. For emergency, there is 24 hours reception at the lobby. The maintenance or emergency repairing service is also available 24/7.
LOCATION
The Somerset ZhongGuanCun is in an ideal location, which is convenient to commute to work, shopping, eating out and entertainment. It’s only three minutes walk to subway SuZhouJie station and seven to ten minutes walk to subway HuangZhuang station; eight minutes walk to Carrefour and ZhongGuanCun shopping mall. Hundreds of restaurants in ZhongGuanCun area offer different kinds of food from Chinese, Japanese, Korean to American, Italian and European. You may find some nice restaurants serve traditional Chinese emperor dishes in the area and also find McDonald and Starbucks close by. A 7/11 convenient store is just one minute away, which even serves breakfast and lunchbox. Beijing's many attractions are also only a short distance away from the luxury serviced apartment, such as Summer Palace, Olympic stadium (the bird nest and the water cube).

Why the Owner Chose Beijing
It was an interesting story when I bought this apartment. My wife and I were looking for apartment for a while and visited about 20 properties, but we didn't find what we liked. One day, I was driving the car to a book store near this property, my wife fell in sleep in the back seat. The area was still under development at that time. It was to be the center of high tech and IT business district. While driving, I was thinking that the area would have great development and improvement. Suddenly I saw the advertisement of the property. It sits in a perfect location of the district. I stop the car, woke my wife, we walked in their presenting room and we made the deal in about one hour. This story is probably not so much related with vacation rental, but I would like to share one of the best decisions I made in my life, since it turned out great! The district now has been changed totally. Many big name companies moved to the area and so many restaurants opened. New subway lines connected. And the price of the property jumped and jumped. :-) To my pleasure, although there are several other serviced apartments built in the area, none of them can match our property and the service Somerset provided.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
I lived in this service apartment for three years. Loved it for the convenience of almost everything! A quiet place in a busy city central business area. Surrounded by restaurants, shopping malls, supermarket, and a book store as well as the service facility such as hospital, dentist, spa, theater etc. Minutes to walk to the subway station, easy access to loop way around the city. Now I moved to a bigger house but lost so many conveniences. However this is perfect for vacation traveler, especially foreigner who comes to China for an adventure but still wants to have the comforts of home.
Where you can buy any sort of computer hardware, software, game console, telecom hardware you name it.
Giant book store. In the area you can find also the antique book store.
The theater shows latest movie as well as some modern live show. Attracting many young people.
