The Rockingham House is a secluded, fully-equipped house perfect for one to six guests. Located in the Heartland of North Carolina, 22 miles Northeast of Greensboro and one hour Northwest of the Chapel Hill/Durham area. It is a lakefront property on five private acres making it a perfect get-away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The home was built in 2008 and has many features that ensure an open and warm feeling inside. With maple wood floors in the common areas, carpeted upstairs and bedrooms, a large open two-sink kitchen that opens into a screened in porch, you are sure to feel at home. Other amenities include a gas grill, and a full deck with French door access from both the master bedroom and great room, which provides maximum enjoyment of the lake and hillside views! The master bedroom downstairs has a king bed, with an additional two rooms upstairs (1 king, 1 queen).
Covered porches and open decks around the house are sure to provide a relaxing visit, with the option of taking long walks around the property for some exercise. Books, cards, and board games are also provided for your enjoyment along with WiFi access, an entertainment suite of 37" TV with DirecTV, a DVD/VHS player, and a 60-CD player for music enjoyment throughout the house!
The lake is small, suitable for private fishing and canoeing. Day fishing trips may be scheduled with a local guide!
