Several of the most beautiful beaches in Florida are just a ten minute drive away, while in the immediate area there are a large selection of restaurants and eateries. There are numerous retail outlets including the major stores located in the nearby Mall and on your 'doorstep' you have a Wal-Mart Superstore with 24 hour opening providing all your needs under one roof.

Our home provides two bedrooms with a split plan layout each bedroom having its own bathroom and large walk in closet. Both the bedrooms are beautifully appointed each with a King-size bed with full linen included. If required separate towels are provided for use at the Community's Heated Pool or the Beach.

In addition to the bedrooms you will find a homely and comfortable well furnished living room with both a three seater and two seater sofa, plus an occasional chair, a desk area which is internet serviced and a bookcase with a wide selection of reading material for all tastes. The kitchen is fully equipped and there is also a laundry area comprising a washer,dryer and hanging rail. A separate dining area provides for formal or casual dining.

This home is a 'Home' and the both the inventory and quality of furnishing and accessories set it apart from the normal vacation rental all of which will make your stay one to enjoy, remember and hopefully return.

Bay Pointe at Cortez is a low rise gated community of 120 x 2 storey units in 9 buildings plus a Heated Community Pool, Gazebo and Sun Deck all of which make this an excellent location for your vacation. The property is served by Tampa International Airport some 50 minutes away, Sarasota/Bradenton Airport is within 15 minutes and the nearby connection, a 15 minute drive, to I75 places you within an hour of Busch Gardens with Orlando's attractions including Disneyworld and SeaWorld just two hours drive. Orlando International and Sanford Airports are 2-3 hours drive away but always allow 3hours for traffic congestion in the Orlando area.

In addition via I75 you can travel South to Venice, Fort Myers, where you can catch the hydrofoil to Key West, or Naples, or even venture a little farther South to the Everglades National Park.

Year Purchased: 2005

We have been coming to Florida for 30 years and whilst our main home is in Cornwall in the UK, , Bradenton is our second home and we spend between 18-20 weeks a year in our property which we purchased new late in 2005 when we retired. Brian had been the CEO of the international operations of an American multinational and a Consultant to major businesses in the oil and gas sector, whilst Kath spent 23 years running the family business. In addition to loving Florida we have good reasons to spend time here as our son his wife and our grandson moved to the US some years ago and are now US Citizens whilst our daughter, son in law and three other grandsons continue to live close by us in the UK.

Why the Owner Chose Bradenton

We love Bradenton and all the surrounding area has to offer. We love the closeness of the great beaches, the cultural amenities of the area and the general variety of things to do and enjoy. We particularly love our Community because of it size, 120 Units, ie.: it is not big and impersonal and it has a low rise profile, it's friendly and it's great location. Bradenton and Bay Pointe really are a wonderful places to live, relax and also have a great vacation .

It is readily accessible by air and highway alike.

The Unique Benefits of this Condominium

Bay Pointe offers everything you could wish for, it is close to the beaches, close to great shopping, surround by places of interest and provides a good location to go off and explore the many attractions and places of interest that are three hours or less away. We love the local Bonefish and Appleby's restaurants to name but two, there are many more to suit all tastes and appetites, but we especially like Tuesday nights at Appleby's where, after 10pm, Karaoke starts. We do not get up and sing but we enjoy those that do and there is some surprising talent around, or it seems that way after a couple of drinks especially when every hour is a 'happy hour'!
